Although practically everybody in Mexico uses Microdyn or one of the other CS products, I have never seen a blue Mexican. They are all a lovely shade of brown. Reid, The strange thing is that all bacteria are destroyed instantly at the contact with the ceramic. Do you have one Katadyn filter or saw one? I opened one and the clusters are really big, supposedly are ionic silver... You said that the ceramic is the disinfectant medium that contains the silver. I have one filter that is in use today, water negative to coli pathogens, and was in use for 38 years! No silver reduction... I weighted it 38 years ago and today same weight. Thoughts of somehow using CS to alleviate this slime growth problem was seriously considered -- and then I moved to the US, without solving this challenge!! The type of RO system now sold at Home Depot etc at about US$160 including filters is a completely sealed unit. I'm not sure how they recommend one cleans this slime build-up out -- not sure if any mention is made of this fact at all, having never opened the box for the instructions etc etc. I would bet no mention is made of the "slime". Any qustions I've asked of water people have always been met with disbelief and blank stares! Maybe one could add a small tap arrangement and leak in some CS. Not sure how this might affect the delivery pressure -- probably based on the domestic tap pressure. Not sure about that. Of course buying new main filters (2) costs about $35 and with 350ppm one could go broke keeping filters up to unit. Does anybody have any ideas on how these sealed units deliver water under a small pressure?? Of course having local water content here of 350ppm would only clog up RO filters very quickly. Or that's what I believe! Unless someone can give me a good reason for this theory to be untrue!! We now have both distilled water and filtered water delivered from Arrowhead and I mix the two 50/50 into our own bottle. Tedious!! -- Arrowhead have delivered cracked bottles on two occasions and they nicely leaked silently onto our beautiful hardwood floors!! Buying water, an expense I'd like to save on, if any body has a suggestion, any contributions are sought. Hi list! I born in Puebla, Mexico... my Mom told us that never drink water from the faucets, or water from other houses. Why? Because is true... the water in Mexico is sediment, then chlorinated and directly to the community. It's a custom to boil the water, or use a Turmix Katadyn filter. My 2 cents to the list: My wife worked 8 years at Mac Donald's and every time a person got burn with oil (real hot, oil for the French fries cooking ) they use Mustard (the mustard color yellow used on hot-dogs). We treated (I am not alone, I am working with several veterinaries in
Mexicali Mexico) this dog case:
Dog fight a cat, the cat was attacking the dog (Normally cats are afraid of
dogs) and made some bruises and cuts at dog lips and front legs... later in
10 days the dog started to act different as his normal behavior. This dog
bite my friend Dr. Salvador Ortega at hand.
We isolated the dog that started to show convulsions, and the Health
department said the dog has rabies... I performed a punction at the
cephaloraquideum liquid (I do not know the exact words) and showed Negri
corpuscles, this rabies was confirmed in the dog.
I started to apply subcutaneous 30 c.c. of Microdyn every hour, and at the
6th application the dog changed abruptly, all the symptoms gone, the dog
started to eat and to swallow water, the convulsions disappeared, the dog
was normal.
My friend followed a total regime of rabies antiserum (Not vaccine) that
gave him the antibodies to fight rabies... but he started to show symptoms
(psychological?) of rabies... strong headache, spasms at lower extremities,
fever... he started to take Microdyn 400 drops in water every hour, the
symptoms relapsed... after the 3rd drink. We started to apply in the muscle
10 c.c. injected. He is right now normal...

Compared to the fussing of making your colloidal silver, this is really
cheap, and since you cannot get 3200 ppm with the household attachments, the
price is a gift.
I do not know of any documented case at this time, we need more cases,

I am unfamiliar with the product Microdyn. The only reference I've been able
to find so far lists Microdyn producer: Roland of de Mexico Asturias no.58.

which you refer? Do you happen to know if it is available in the US?
Have any attempts been made at treating canine rabies using lower ppm
concentrations than the 3200 ppm of the Microdyn product?

I have no experience with 500 ppm ( I wish you were making your own) but I would up the dosage to at least a cc every couple of hours. It is important that they get glucose since they are not eating, so give them some water with Karo ( 2 ts. to 1/2 cup water) give 5-6 cc every 3 hours. You could mix the CS with Karo. Also I would buy a few cans of Prescription AD Diet from vet and mix with a little water to make it soupy and syringe that into them. They may eat it on their own if they are not too weak, as pups love the taste. If you can get food into them you probably won't need the Karo. Vet has mono jet syringes which make feeding faster & easier. Keep them warm and squirt a little water into mouths if they are not drinking, as you know dehydration is bad. You should see some results from the CS before tonight. Just thinking... what concentration of C.S. you used? I have used 4000 ppm with microdyn and ALL kind of infection clears up. I use this Microdyn in bladder with a syringe as irrigations, with just 2 of this the infection is stopped. For my experience with CS using 3 times ANY concentration of C.s. is risorius. You need to impregnate the body... remember as the C.s. enters, the C.S. goes out! We are using 4000 ppm every 15 minutes in acute infections. Very amazing results! Saw the dentist again today, and he indicated he has never observed such fast healing. Will take the stitches out in another week. The bones are actually starting to knit together in the front. It has been one week today, and talking is still a little clumsy, but chewing looks like a possibility again. Ate lasagna for dinner, and it was GREAT! Not sure what the normal time frame is for something like this, and how long it usually takes, but know several people who had trouble chewing water, even after a month. A diabetic patient can (and must, because are necessary to the metabolism)eat or drink carbohydrates, but in a BALANCED DIET. I have type 2 diabetes and have had it for years. My BS has been all over the place but has settled down to 120 or below regularly I am on glyburide also 2 tablets a day, one before eating breakfast and dinner. It was not till I was also placed on Glucophage that I really got control. I take it after meals, 2 a day or if I feel I have overeaten I take and extra one. In spite of the fact I have diabetes I still was not taking care of myself as I should and have eaten more carbs than one should. You know the pills take care of it and I was under control. (I thought) Beginning Nov, 1 (had to get rid of the Halloween candy) I gave up all sugar completely. and am trying to eliminate foods with a high glycemic index.. Interesting info. from a friend Foods with high glycemlic index are prone to activate diabetes sooner or later. The more you eat them the more you have to eat It is a real addiction. What happens is that once you take sugar (and any simple carbohydrate) you'll immediately produce lots of BS. That's not good for you so your body starts producing lots of insulin in order to get rid of the sugar. The sugar will be stored in cells and a few minutes after that your BS will be very low and you will have to eat immediately. The cycle goes on and on. You'll develop insulin resistance which means you'll need more and more insulin to get the same result. Eventually no matter how much insulin your pancreas produces it will not be enough to lower the blood glucose level. Now you have Diabetes. You have to break the cycle. Stop eating sample carbohydrates. Fat burning exercises (walking) helps for different reason, one of them because it lowers insulin resistance. I have also started walking each day (VERY IMPORTANT) and I feel great and my blood sugar averages about 100. What does you wife eat.? You really need to watch the carbs!! It is good you are interested in helping her control the diabetes but ,and please do not take this in the wrong way, she also needs to take control and be responsible for her own treatment. I have since giving up the carbs and walking and it has only been a couple of days have cut my meds in half. I hope you can get this under control. I had a foot infection as a result of it and have eye problems but I have that under control now.
