In theory that sounds great, but it's only half true. Thinking I would
preserve some Kombucha tea (?sp), I added silver to the tea. This
prevented the growth of fungi-bacteria for a while, but the organisms made
a comeback.

(Kombucha is a tea which is reputed to have healing properties when
fungi-bacteria are gown in a tea-sugar mixture. Russians in
high-radiation areas apparently had lower incidences of cancer
attributable to this tea. I once bought some, but did not find much
therapeutic value when compared to designer foods on the market. It's
easier to take nice sanitary capsulated antioxidants to help prevent
cancer. Besides, it wasn't too appetizing to see the slimy, gooey, white
mass of fungi-bacteria growing above the tea water.)

Here's some interesting information--There are now super strains of
bacteria growing in high radiation areas--these bacteria produce high
levels of antioxidants to survive.

Give it a try and see what happens with two glasses of milk. Put
CS in one and nothing in the other and see if the one with CS lasts
longer. Then try it with the tea-CS. Also you'll probally have to
lower the m-amps when making it with Tea because the Tea will be
additives to the distilled water causing it to become more conductive.

Also it would probally be better to make the tea first then the
CS from the tea. If my theory is right then if you have CS and
boil it then it's possable to change the ionic properties or charge
of the CS. The theory is that water is more of a positive charge.
When it's boiled it becomes more negitive and turns into steam.

for what it is worth, the idea sounds interesting but i believe you would has
such a hard time trying to get the cs made in the herbal tea that mixing it
later will prove to be the best idea.

even in the distilled water i buy i sometimes to much contamients to make a
clean batch.

Good idea, I hadn't thought of that one! Thanks!

How about using CS as the "water" in which you brew your tea?

It seems that, with all our usual concern over starting with pure
water, making CS in something as complex as an herbal tea would be a
total unknown.

Doing it the other way around, making the CS and then "tossing a tea
bag into it" might be more workable?

As to any possible results, I have no comment!

CS and herb teas

1998-05-23 Thread jeinert
Hi list,
I have a question for the list. I would like to have some feed back
with ideas, or if anyone has tried this, let me know.
Would it be possible to make CS using an herb tea combination
instead of distilled water? If you did this would the silver bond to
the ingredients of the tea to make something good or bad?
There are several formulas which including CS might improve the

I know I can always just add the CS to a very strong tea base, and
