I usually drink a given amount, swallowing half of it straight down and holding
the other half for a few minutes in the mouth, and I may do this several times
throughout the day. Haven't got a nebuliser yet but I spray some up the snoz
at bedtime if I feel the need to. FWIW, I brew fresh stuff and use that
throughout the day, then make a new batch the next day if necessary.

Dunno if this is helps at all?

Since it's nearly impossible to over do it in spurts, why not carry a
flask of CS around and nip it every time you think about it and refill as
needed...until you forget to?

Many small doses is better than a couple of big ones.
Using CS as a mouth wash takes care of everything else. [swish and swallow]

The advice you received is from folks who are making their own,
generally using low voltage DC to put pure silver into distilled water
with no other additives or ingredients. Their CS is generally clear,
colorless (or at most light yellow), 5 to 15 parts per million (ppm),
mostly ionic with the balance colloidal particles.

If you're using some brand of CS that's high concentration, say over
a hundred ppm, then everything they say needs to be adjusted for that.
If your CS costs over $30 an OUNCE, as some store-bought products do,
you're already scratching your head wondering if all these people are
filthy rich to be able to afford to take so much? LOL

So, please let us know what you're using, so we can adjust our advice

Re: CScs for colds

2010-01-23 Thread MaryAnn Helland
Hi Teresa.  Welcome to the list.  Since no one has replied to your questions,
I'll try to.

There really is no *recommended* dosage for a cold, or anything else.  It's an
individual thing that you'll learn for yourself as you become accustomed to
using CS.  If you're already coming down with the cold, then you probably have
a stuffy nose, sore throat, etc.  All you can do at this point is attack the
symptoms -- gargle CS, then swallow every hour or so until the sore throat goes
away.  Either use the CS as nose drops and sniff it up into the sinuses as best
you can, or put it into a sinus spray bottle and spray up into the nose
inhaling as you do so.  In addition, drink CS on an hourly basis.  When I catch
a cold or the flu, I keep a pint bottle of CS next to me and sip from it all
day long until I'm better.  Of course, all of this uses up a lot of CS, and for
that reason I hope you're able to make your own.  Are you that far along in
your education?

As far as preventative dosing -- again, that's an individual thing.  If you
work at a hospital or doctor's office where you have high exposure, and your
own immune system isn't great, then you'll need a lot more than someone who
works from home and has a great immune system -- do you see?  Some people on
the list use 1 oz. per day, others use a lot more.  I use CS as a mouthwash
after flossing my teeth in the morning, and that seems to be enough for me
ordinarily.  Sorry I can't give you more definitive answers, but I hope this
helps.

Re: CScs for colds

2010-01-23 Thread Richard Goodwin
I second all that. A cold tried to attack both me and my wife just this past
week. We both drink at least a couple of ounces of eis daily, so it did not
ever really take hold. It tried, but with all the spraying and drinking a
little more than usual, the final score was: Us 2, cold 0.

The worst it got was a very minor cough and a general feeling like something
was trying to take hold, that feeling you realize you have right before you
really come down with something. But the really come down part never happened.
We have both had similar experiences over the past 4 years of taking eis,
maybe once or twice each winter. It is great to be so free of the usual
illnesses, especially when everyone else at the office is coughing and hacking
and blowing and moaning.

Hi Teresa,
Along with taking it orally I have a ultra-sonic humidifier that I run. I put
at least a cup of cs in it and run it close to me during the time when I am
home so it goes into the lungs.
I also put it in my drinking water that I carry with me, about 4 tble spoons.
For your cold too you can put hydrogen peroxide drops in your ears to kill the
cold virus...lay on the couch and drop into your ear's you can hear it killing
the virus.
If your coughing, put some vicks on your chest and the bottom of your feet with
socks, help stop the cough,

Hi Teresa, I have used CS (EIS) for colds etc for quite awhile... The best
part is that ---now I don't get colds !!! :-) Whenever I go out where
there will be a lot of folks I take a swig of CS before I go...I can't
remember the last time I had a cold... My son got a bad case of the flu I
gave
him CS to take. The flu only lasted about 4 days for him while friends took
up to 2-3 weeks...They are using CS now also...
A swig for me is about 2-4 ounces...I use it after I brush my teeth
a couple times a week---Hold it in my mouth for about 3 mins. swishing it
around then swallow...
There are benefits to adding DMSO as a carrier also... Do you have a
generator to make your own CS (EIS) ??? There are several good ones out there
or you can buy the parts make your own...
If you would like to e-mail me personally I can give you sites to check
out generators or I know there are many knowledgeable folks on this site
that can help... Lots of luck--Lois

Average cost over a year of steady personal production will be right at
$1
per gallon including the price of the generator and electrodes and
decrease
from there to as low as 70 cents a gallon depending on the cost of the

Dear Paula,
Sometimes a cold is really about crying uncried tears, especially when you
have had to be tough or supportive. In which case the cold will go very
quickly if you can get in to the emotions and feelings which might have
caused
the snot and blubs and let them flow for a while. Get some personal space
have
a nice hot bath, go to bed in pleasant and safe surroundings; and howl. You
will feel much better in the morning.

Of course colloidal silver and vitamin C are to be taken too. Lots.

Yes, stress does knock the immune system, so any way of destressing will
help
to become well.

Re: CSCS and colds

2002-12-27 Thread Ode Coyote
Even if you buy one of the best automatic CS generators made, it'll still
cost you far less than the first gallon you buy..probably less than the
first 12-16 oz of cS that you buy at , say, Wellspring at $15 for 2 oz.
If you BUY colloidal silver, usually you have no idea of it's quality and
it's usually mild silver protien anyhow. [read the fine print] Some of it
is not even electrically produced.
Doing it right is generally slow [it takes a lot of time. Not YOUR
time..the generators time with a little bit of occasional attention by
you...not something that commercial producers like.]
I don't believe there's a generator made that won't produce at least 30
gallons for $15 cost of new electrodes and the first 30 gallon capacity
comes with the generator.
Average cost over a year of steady personal production will be right at $1
per gallon including the price of the generator and electrodes and decrease
from there to as low as 70 cents a gallon depending on the cost of the water.
You'll find yourself giving CS away. I know some people who keep a
generator running 24/7 in the breakroom of their workplace, free to anyone
who wants it.
Ask here on this list for who is doing what with what generator.

Re: CSCS and colds

2002-12-27 Thread Ode Coyote
Utopia has a pretty good deal on CS and the quality is probably very
good, but bear in mind that the CS they sell is NOT made by the generator
they sell. [they bought that HVAC generator from someone else]
The LVDC generator they sell for $35 is about the least sophisticated one
that can be made. [not overpriced, just very limited in function.] It'll
work with some care and a lot of attention and even do a decent job up to 5
or 10 PPM. But without buying a $50 meter or hooking up a current meter and
do some math, you'll never have any sort of idea about what PPM you made or
be able to repeat a good batch if you buy new water.
Timing a batch from the start to predict PPM simply doesn't work.
Depending on the water, going from 0 PPM to 1 PPM could take only a minute
or it could take an hour and everything works on a constant acceleration
basis like falling off a cliff.

Timing from first sign of activity will do better but you probably will
still be way off. [not that actual PPM within some range matters all that
much]

Dear Paula,
Sometimes a cold is really about crying uncried tears, especially when you
have had to be tough or supportive. In which case the cold will go very
quickly if you can get in to the emotions and feelings which might have caused
the snot and blubs and let them flow for a while. Get some personal space have
a nice hot bath, go to bed in pleasant and safe surroundings; and howl. You
will feel much better in the morning.

Of course colloidal silver and vitamin C are to be taken too. Lots.

Yes, stress does knock the immune system, so any way of destressing will help
to become well.

Use good distilled water and pure silver, limit your current, stir and keep
the water from being too hot and as long as you don't exceed 10 to 20 ppm it
should be stable. But if you are using shortly after making it, why does it
matter if it is stable anyway? Stability is what manufacturer need so it
will be stable during storage and shipping.

Re: CSCS and colds

At about 8 to 12 ppm normally the number of particles tends to peak, and the
particles get bigger, instead of more numerous. Thus the effectiveness tends
to plateau as well in that range.

5 ppm is plenty strong for almost anything. Higher ppms can work better
topically though. Generally 2 ounces of 5 ppm will be slightly more
effective than one ounce of 10 ppm due to the generally smaller particle size
of the 5 ppm.
