CSOff topic list
If anyone here, uses the off-topic list, can you please tell me the correct mailing address, the web link for the archives would also be helpful as well. Faith, the CS listers gab about so many off topic topics that Mike put up another site so that people who wanted to talk about non CS subjects, or continue something that started here, can go over there to do it. The address is at the bottom of every post. So when Mike says it is time to take a topic to the off topic list, that is what he means - talk about this on the other list. That way, instead of people looking for info on CS having to wade through too much other stuff, this list gets thinned down a bit more to just CS subjects. In theory. When he goes on holiday the drums start tapping and so do the fingers. Rowena - I wouldn't know about the off topics list. Faith G. All this info and much much more has been posted on the off topic list for long time now.

Okay, I get all the email I can handle. I am on other email lists that I hear from regularly. I can't spend all my time answering email. I have a zillion folders and I don't want any more of them.. I sort the mail manually and I use Outlook Express. Thanks. Volume on the Off Topic List is sporadic. Since it was discussed here yesterday, only a couple people have posted tentative messages wondering where everybody is! So, just post those OT topics to silver-off-topic-l...@eskimo.com and see who answers! Remember, folks: Civility is still required on the OT list, even when discussing controversial topics. Thicken your skin so you won't take offense when none is meant, be gentle in what you say and how you say it. Treat others as friends there, as they are here. Oh, and don't really expect to change too many minds!! grin I'll be listening. There you'll find instructions for subscribing. The process is similar to subscribing to the main list. That's only required if you want to receive the OT list in e-mail. Posting only requires that you be a member of the main list. Anybody can view the archives. Hope that helps. There's nothing to subscribe to as far as the web site is concerned. It either loads for you or it doesn't. If not, the problem is likely to be something with your web browser setup, I'm afraid. You can subscribe to the OT list to get it in e-mail. To do that, go to: http://www.silverlist.com ... and click on the Off Topic List link, and follow the instructions there to sign up for the regular OT list or the OT digest version. Anybody who's on the main Silver List can already post to the OT list. You only need to subscribe if you want it in e-mail. Hi Wayne, You should have received an email from Yahoo to confirm your email address by now. When you get it, follow their instructions. Either you will start receiving emails from the list (if you subscribed to receive emails rather than to do just web reading) or you will go to the YahooGroups web page and be able to post.
