I had a Silvergen that worked fine for several years until the stirring motor recently stopped. I just purchased a Colloid Master but haven't tried it yet. I use Arrowhead distilled water. Doug.. I don't make my own but from posts on this site, I think there is a way you can test your distilled water to make sure it is 'pure' enough for making your colloidal silver. Lola H. Got a Geiger counter? Might want to check how radioactive that water is. Granite buildings often don't meet Rad dose spec for 24 hour inhabitation. You wouldn't want to live in a bank. Also, it's filtered through minerals and likely has a high content. ode At 02:41 AM 10/30/2007 +0100, you wrote: Thank you so much for these sites. I have another question. Re: CSNew to the group
That presents an interesting problem. You can look in the store, or in the pharmacy, for water suitable for laboratory use, that has zero minerals in it. Maybe they can order some for you. There was a conversation some while ago about getting water in the uk, and that it is called differently there- I think de-ionized water is it. I don't know about Norway. I would want a meter, to see just how close I could get (to zero). I think in the Sierras, the snow melt is very nearly pure water. Out of all the distilled water brands I tried, the worst one was 25 ppm, I think. And that company starts with highly mineralized water and then distills it. The company I use starts with the river water, which is much less mineralized to start with, and it comes out fine all the time (nearly). If you could not order distilled or de-ionized water, you could look into buying a steam distiller of your own. If you did decide to do that, then the next step would be to get the most pure water to start with, I would think. If you are that far out, you must be able to get very pure seawater. My parents use seawater as a mineral supplement, and as long as my mother takes that, she has no arthritis. They take about an ounce or 2 a day, and have for years. They have picked out a good spot to get it, away from homes, etc. Kathryn On Oct 29, 2007, at 9:24 PM, Ann wrote: I hope they have that here, I've never checked for it. Ann I bought my generator from http://www.silverpuppy.com/page1b.htmlhttp://www.silverpuppy.com/page1b.html I bought the silverpuppy and am quite happy with the ease of use. Set on automatic it will make 5ppm's in about five to six hours. From other groups I read they recommend the one I have or the silver gen. I don't know about the silver gen. The only expense once you have your machine is quality DISTILLED water. Good luck with your journey. Re: CSNew to the group
You might be reading your meter wrong. If it's a PPM/ TDS meter, double the reading. Those are for salt water and silver water isn't salt water, so the translation is different. 10 to 12 PPM would be more like it over that time span. Re: CSnew to the group
Welcome aboard, Kandee! If you build or buy a generator and make your own CS, you'll be able to control what's in it, as well as make as much as you need for pennies. Those are some good options to have. So you're on a good path. Ask questions here to help you learn how to make and use good quality CS safely. Bronchitis and strep infections that finally landed me with pneumonia are what caused me to go looking for alternatives and to find CS. As far as the HTML formatting is concerned, it's easy to turn off, and is a courtesy to the rest of the members, some of whose mail programs do not handle fancy formatting all that well, and those on dial-up who have to pay to download what amounts to cosmetic junk. In Yahoo mail, if you click on the Options link over on the right hand side, then General Preferences, then select Compose messages as plain text under Composing E-mails Mode, that'll be it! Good to have you in the group. I'm sure you'll get some answers. Be well! Mike D. Hi, I'm Kandee and new to the list; I just finished reading Warren Jefferson's book about colloidal silver and he gave me the silver-list website because I had some questions. I'm planning to make my own CS generator soon and would love to talk with others who use CS and hear other testimonials. My main reason for seeking out CS is the fact that I am leary about my daughter having to be on antibiotics every 2 months. She's prone to bronchitis, and it's cycle seems to hit every 2 months. Based on what I've read, CS would be a good alternative. I hope I'm typing this in a non-HTML form...I'm not sure how to turn it off, if I inadvertantly did use HTML. Please let me know if I need to correct my email system.
