If you are using permanent magnets you won't get the effects that you need!,
you need the electromagnetic that has a very fast rise and fall time as well as
a very high guass rating to do what the Beck protocol does.

Hi PT,

How long does one do the castor oil pack in terms of days.  Also how many times
a day does one have to apply it on the liver area and for how many hours.

You also suggested using frequencies, what method do you suggest for this?

I applied magnets yesterday on all my organs and sternum due to discomfort
around my stomach on left side as well as gas.  Also took pancreas herbal tea
last night.  Today, no pain.  I want to know more treatments so i can have them
handy.

Many Thanks.

Try adding some lemon juice and water to the olive oil and blending them all
before drinking. Instead of a heating pad you can use a rice hot pack which
you
can make to cover the area. If packed between two heavy towels it will last
most of the night.

Melly.. I have been doing castor oil packs for years. The usual method is to
do
the castor oil pack for an hour or two, one - three times per day if an acute
condition. It depends on how acute the condition is (pain) etc. You can do it
for 3 - 4 days in a row with a few days off. I have done it every day when my
back has messed up before. If you are doing the castor oil packs as a general
application, once per day is probably fine for two hours. Just be sure and
monitor the heat. Turn the heating pad off for a few minutes or on low to
maintain a comfortable level. not too hot.

It depends on the person. Each person must monitor how they feel. I do it
over

Jaxi- The metal lamp I have has 2 cross bars in the front, I keep it
about that distance away and usually with some cotton cloth over my
skin. It can be hard to put it in a good position, most come with a
clip on them but it's a challenge to hang them in the right place. I
have used various racks, coat racks, metal walkers, etc. for
positioning. Before I broke my rib I used to get fierce pain between my
shoulder blades when washing dishes for an hour or more, since I am 5'8"
and have to stoop over. The funny thing was that after using the heat
lamp on my back for the broken rib a lot, I stopped getting the pain
when I washed the dishes.:-)

Infrared is light of a long wavelength. Like light, some materials
block it, some reflect it, and some absorb it. So it really depends on
the material and the thickness. But if you have a heat lamp or strong
infrared source it is pretty easy to determine if the rays are getting
through or not by simply seeing if you can feel the heat on the other
side or not.

I doubt that you want anything between the infrared heat emitter and
your skin because it would block the infrared rays and defeat the
whole purpose of the therapy. The rays should penetrate the skin for
deep heating. Of course, you don't want to burn yourself either.
Don't know exactly how you control that. It depends on the wattage of
the bulb, the area being heated and the distance of the bulb from the
skin (which would spread out the area being heated by the bulb).

Does this have some property that is more helpful than say, a heating pad?

When I broke a rib I used my infrared heat lamp (for lizards, coiled
ceramic heat emitter) and it helped take away pain and heal faster.

You might want to check on this. Where I have lived Palma Cristi is the
Castor Plant. Thuja extract comes from Thuja occidentalis trees. So they

During Edgar Cayce's days, bone fractures were cured with castor oil
packs as an aid in the process.
In those days it was said by the medics that they do not understand
w h y it works, they just saw t h a t it works. Without doubt, in the
avalanche of research after Cayce's time, more is known about the
processes at work.

Re: CS>slap tear/CASTOR OIL QUERY

2011-07-30 Thread Dan Nave
Yes, it should work for removing a mole. Just apply it daily and let
it soak in for a while, I don't think you will actually have to do a
pack. The only thing about it is that it is a long process. It may
take 2 months or so. However, you may be able to notice changes along
the way.

When I had some minor skin surgeries I had bandaids over the cuts and
wetted them with castor oil daily. After a few days I had a reaction
under the sticky part of the bandaids and had to stop doing this. I
don't know if I was just sensitive to the latex or stickum, or if the
castor oil combined with the stickum and let it soak into the skin a
bit. So, I don't use it much with bandaids anymore. Just sayin'.
Try it and see how it works.

2011-07-30 Thread Jane MacRoss
The herbal tincture is what I used / neat / either 1:2 or 1:5 - I can't
remember now, every couple of days I would inject a smidge more of the
tincture into the dressing just to keep it a little bit damp but without
taking the dressing off.

Hi Dan, do you think a castor oil pack would work on removing a mole?

Granted, it'd be more like putting a large bandaid over a soaked gauze of
castor oil...but just wondering aloud if it'd work -- or not?!?!

I don't have technical information, but there are many general
articles on the net such as this:

http://skinverse.com/castor-oils-many-forgotten-uses-part-1-medicinal-values
.html

http://skinverse.com/castor-oils-many-uses-for-beautiful-skin-and-hair.html

It helps just about everything. The herbalist Dr. Schulz indicated
almost in an aside that every one of his cases of cancer and many
other ailments were to do a castor oil pack nightly along with the
other remedies. The castor oil pack in this case was usually not
heated but was worn while sleeping. I think this is one of the
reasons for his success...

I have personally used it sucessfully for several things.

Hi Dan, do you think a castor oil pack would work on removing a mole?

Granted, it'd be more like putting a large bandaid over a soaked gauze of
castor oil...but just wondering aloud if it'd work -- or not?!?!

It helps just about everything. The herbalist Dr. Schulz indicated
almost in an aside that every one of his cases of cancer and many
other ailments were to do a castor oil pack nightly along with the
other remedies. The castor oil pack in this case was usually not
heated but was worn while sleeping. I think this is one of the

this was from my chiropractor. I stopped because it didn't seem to do that
much good for the pain except when packs first put on. a little. Don't
know if it was the castor oil or the heat. Maybe should try it again. Ruth

Ruth,

I just got an email from Health Freedom Resources selling castor oil. Do
you

have any castor oil or have you already tried putting some on your abdomen?
Here is an excerpt. Note they mention intestinal obstructions:

Dr. McGarey has successfully used the castor oil packs in clinical settings
for numerous conditions, including liver and gall bladder problems,
abscesses, headaches, appendicitis, epilepsy, hemorrhoids, constipation,
intestinal obstructions, hyperactivity in children, and to avert threatened
abortions in pregnant women. In The Oil That Heals, Dr. McGarey says that
Edgar Cayce described at least thirty different physiological functions
that

could be changed for the better through the use of castor oil applied
topically, mostly by the use of the packs.

Prepare a flannel cloth which is two or three thicknesses when folded and
which measures about eight inches in width and ten to twelve inches in
length after it is folded. This is the size needed for abdominal
application-other areas may need a different size pack, as seems
applicable.

Pour castor oil into a pan and soak the cloth in the oil. Wring out the
cloth so that it is wet but not drippy with the castor oil (or simply pour
castor oil onto the pack so it is soaked). Apply the cloth to the area
which
needs treatment. Most often, the pack should be placed so it covers the
area

of the liver.

Protection against soiling bed clothing can be made by putting a sheet
underneath the body. Then a plastic covering should be applied over the
soaked flannel cloth. On top of the plastic, place a heating pad and turn
it

up to "medium" to begin, then to "high" if the body tolerates it. It helps
to wrap a large towel around the body to hold the pack snugly in place,
using large safety pins on the towel. The pack should remain in place
between an hour to an hour and a half.

The skin can be cleansed afterwards, if desired, by using water which is
prepared as follows: to a quart of water, add two teaspoons of baking soda.
Use this to cleanse the abdomen. Keep the flannel pack wrapped in plastic
for future use. It need not be discarded after one application, but can
usually be used many times.

Re: CS>"Risings" - Castor Oil brings to surface of skin

2006-01-12 Thread Dan Nave
I would think that might be possible. The packs would have to be done
over a period of time, it wouldn't happen immediately for something
under the skin. I know from personal experience that it works well for
anything that has penetrated or erupted from the skin like a sliver or
an infection that needs to come out. It does actually draw out cysts.

Richard Schulze (herbdoc) has a lot of protocols for cancer and other
things and he always says, kind of as an aside or an afterthought, be
sure you are soaking the area overnight with castor oil... I think
castor oil is an integral part of positive effects he is getting from
these treatments.

Dan

Castor oil packs are also a good way of softening the skin and getting
boils, cysts, slivers, and things like --- cancer -
to
come to the surface of
the skin.

Hmmm - that's interesting, Dan. So a castor oil pack or patch on a
suspect
area (under breast) might lead to a visible Thing that one might slap a
bit
of Cansema on? H. One way to go.

You can purchase good quality castor oil at most
health food stores. Heritage is one of the brands that
they typically sell. Some are food grade and others
are not. They usually say on the bottle. Cayce has a

Hi Betsy,

Herbally speaking, castor oil is cooling externally but heating internally.
That is to say, it can cause inflammation and probably would be irritating
to the bladder lesions if its effect even reached that far, but certainly
would irritate the colon. It's a great laxative, but doesn't soothe the
tissues internally as far as I know.

Dr. Richard Schulze (American Botannical Pharmacy) makes a kidney/bladder
tincture that might help.

perhaps some type of possible organic problem. Before
attemptimg to establish disclipinary measures, I would
want to rule out any possible chemical imbalance. My
suggestion would be to have a complete evaluation
including food allergies, yeast, thyroid, blood sugar
etc. I had a friend who had two children ONe was very
mild mannered and the other child was cross and
behaviourly challanged. It took them several years to
find out t! hat she was severly hypoglycimic. Put on a
proper diet, she is like a different child. This
status and money issue with so many teenagers is
another problem in itself. It is alot more prominant
than it used to be and is a sad commentary of our
materialistic society. I dont think that we as adults
are setting a very good example for our young people.
As a teacher for 20 years of young children, I do not
observe that girls are any more mean than boys. It is
equal amoung the sexes. The meaness is just manifested
differently.Girls tend to be a bit more sophisticated
in their behaviour at that age. I agree with the
statment that it is very very important for involved
adults to constantly and consistantly guide young
children on how to be kind and remind them often of
how much their behaviour affects others. INstead of
being critical of young people, we need to be
responsible in setting good examples for them and
being accountable towa! rds them.
Last comment, Does someone know the benefits of taking
a food grade castor oil supplement? I was thinking
about using it to heal bladder lesions but dont know
if it would actually be more irritating. The castor
oil I purchased was for castor oil liver packs but is
said to be edible.

noted to engage in this behaviour would point to
perhaps some type of possible organic problem. Before
attemptimg to establish disclipinary measures, I would
want to rule out any possible chemical imbalance. My
suggestion would be to have a complete evaluation
including food allergies, yeast, thyroid, blood sugar
etc. I had a friend who had two children ONe was very
mild mannered and the other child was cross and
behaviourly challanged. It took them several years to
find out that she was severly hypoglycimic. Put on a
proper diet, she is like a different child. This
status and money issue with so many teenagers is
another problem in itself.
INstead of
being critical of young people, we need to be
responsible in setting good examples for them and
being accountable towards them.
Last comment, Does someone know the benefits of taking
a food grade castor oil supplement? I was thinking
about using it to heal bladder lesions but dont know
if it would actually be more irritating. The castor
oil I purchased was for castor oil liver packs but is
said to be edible.

A very confused post. The Water Oz was suggested for a two year old daughter
and the idea was promptly shot down. CS in any form will not do a wilfull 16
year old any good whatsoever. And if you can trick the 16 year old to take a
daily strong dose of castor oil, she won't stray more than 20 feet from the
pot and should become more tractable. Regards, Al

I thought water oz was found to be unsafe for oral

her behaviour that is limited only to her mother

That's okay, Cindy,
just tell me, how did this saran wrap thing come up?

See, a piece of ("normal") plastic is used to avoid the nasty staining
Ricinus Oil can cause. This plastic may itch on the skin, but I never heard
of more severe symptoms.

For the remainder,
no offence meant from my part either, dear.

2005-05-06 Thread Faith Saint Francis

Respected Grace!
Thank you for your response.
The infection has been going on a month. So I should be treating about a
week and a half, every other day?<< --smiling-- Well, it ain't no
mathematics, mydear. See, everybody (every body = every individual reacts
her own way to any kind of treatment. Ywet, one month does not really make
it chronic. I'd say forget the one-month-one-year rule for this. Just try
to work every other day (on the hands, if the feet are too sensitive, but
keep track of recession of the pain there, that is betterment))

I shall come on your extensive later, but promptlyand personally, on you
private e-mail address if you don't mind.
There is another method which may )I for myself am sure it helps). It was
prescribed by Edgar Cayce, who's name I hardly dare tomention again.
The treatment reads:

The therapy, according to the book under the title "the Edgar Cayce
Remedies" reads somewhat like this:

the Palma Christie oil-pack

Take a fair piece of cloth (cotton is best) and fold it double, and then
double again.

This you put on a medical heating-pad, a piece of plastic in-between.

Underneath you will need an old towel, in order to keep your bed clean.

Put the towel first, the heating-pad on top of it, and then the plastic with
your cloth.

Now moisten the cloth with palma christie (castor oil) such that it is
soaking, but not dripping. Lay it on the heating pad -do not forget to put
the plastic first-, and switch the thing on (close the plastic over the oily
cloth, the pad over-all, leave till hot).

Lie down on it after opening, the painful area on the oil. The burning-hot
sensation, if you can stand it -be reasonable-, will cease after a few
minutes. Maintain this position for an hour and a half if you can, otherwise
build up to this stretch of time.

Do this for three days, then give the body a rest for three days, and
repeat, until the pain ceases.

In the morning you can remove the remaining oil on your skin with
baking-soda powder, mixed in water.

According to the Edgar Cayce Remedies, (Bantam Books)

I wish you well, and please keep in touch.

I want to thank all of the repondents who shared their views on mixing DMSO
with Castor Oil. I'm not going to try it, at least for now. I need more
information, and if/when I get the info I'll share it with the list. In the
meantime, I'll use straight castor oil as per Dan's instructions. I may
first try DMSO (sans castor oil) as it too is supposed to be very effective
at softening scar tissue.

Gents,
This puts me on the horns of a dilemma. I decided to play it safe
and ordered the $89. model that was recommended last week by R. Combs, I
believe. The only reason I didn't order one for myself at that time was
that because of my frugal nature (accused of being fiscally irresponsible on
occasion) I would regret it if I didn't have enough time left to amortize
the cost. I checked the Walgreen unit out today. They had it for $25. It
is ultrasonic, which surprised me. I am sure a person could adapt it with a
piece of hose to concentrate vapor for inhalation. BTW Richard, your tip on
the crop down there looked good today. The next 2 days should tell the
story. This display of wisdom makes the Walgreen unit a lower risk. Bob

Be aware that the mist from a vaporizer or humidifier will always have a good
tyndall, as will any fog. See http://silver-lightning.com/tyndall for picutures

RE: CS>CS & DMSO & Castor Oil

2003-11-08 Thread Richard Harris
Hi Elle,

As I mentioned in previous messages, this is NOT my original formula, but
sounded so good that I mixed it and used it in my $20 Walgreen's Ultrasonic
Humidifier and the vapor indeed showed a bright TE, which demonstrated that
the CS, et al, was on the way to helping the sufferer.

I misplaced an article on MSM & DMSO. but it'll turn up someplace. It stated
that: DMSO has the property of immediately penetrating skin and taking
anything mixed in with it; MSM is in every body cell and goes by the
chemical desigination of DMSO2; it stated that in the body as it is being
used, one turns into the other and vice versa--Interesting thought! I take
MSM daily along with Vit C, E, Lecithin and Seasilver. If needed, I apply
DMSO to any clean area to penetrate & relieve pain (which I seldon have,
even at age 80). I have experimented by adding Aspirin & other pain
relievers to DMSO & applying on the painful area--with almost Instant
Relief.

I commend you for experimenting with DMSO & Castor Oil--It might not
dissolve in a clear solution, but I'm reasonable assured that by rubbing the
greasy mixture on the CLEAN area you'll get penetration and I await your
report to us as to the effectiveness of treatment and "What" you were using
it for.

Thanks for your addition to this interesting list. If I can be of help,
please let me know.

Sincerely,
Richard Harris, 56 yr FL Pharmacist

Hi Richard, and all

What is the reason behind mixing MSM and DMSO? Just wondering. I ordered
some DMSO which should arrive next week, and will see if it mixes with cator
oil. I'm just wondering if there might be a good reason for not using this
combination. Any thoughts?

Emu oil is said to be good at penetrating skin. Would this be an
option that might help penetration?

I've been waiting to see what others had to say on this topic. I'm a
fan of DMSO and I've heard enough about Castor Oil packs from reliable
people to put them on my list of things to try someday. That said, I
would be leery of combining the two unless I'd done enough research to
be completely sure it wouldn't be dangerous.

The part of the castor bean that does the work is a powerful toxin
called Ricin. It's use as a purgative and, in your case, to loosen
adhesions, relates to its ability to disrupt cellular function in a
limited way in limited doses.

DMSO can act to potentiate the effects of the things it transports by
vastly increasing permeability of cell membranes. That means that the
medicinal -- or toxic -- effects of anything you apply with it can be
made *many* times more powerful than when administered in the normal
way. With the ricin in castor oil, could this maybe get dangerous?

So until you *know* the effects of ricin delivered into every cell in
your body by the transport and potentiation ability of DMSO, I'd go
very slowly, indeed.

A quick Google search led me to this page:

   http://museum.gov.ns.ca/poison/castor.htm

I'd start with www.dmso.org and follow every link and check out every
report I can find about clinical uses of DMSO, to see if there was any
prior art for the combination you're thinking about. Contact Dr. Jacobs
or his associates and ask them your questions.

I don't want you to stop studying the idea on account of my caution.
After all, I don't have any answers myself, only questions. But please
be sure you know what you're doing before you start testing this idea.

Meanwhile, if the plain CO packs are known to work, then give 'em a try
as written.

Be well,

Mike D.

I would think it NOTA GOOD IDEA to mix Castor Oil n DMSO.

It is thought the CO has wonderful healing properties [and it is stressed
that the CO should be cold pressed] and I would bet the farm that dmso
would do a number on those said qualities.

I will say, as one who has been a devotee of CO packs for yars n yars,
that I have done considerable personal experimentation with using heat in
the co pack application and worked with basically 3 techniques:

-heating pad
-prelim warming pack with some sort of low-ish temp convection
heat
-prelim warming with microwave [20 sec on hi, 30 if the pack has
been stored in the fridge]

Tho one could immagine problems with all three, I have found NO
problem with any technique and for myself, have used the microwave
technique for years for convenience n speed.

I will make some more practical suggestions for co packs when
time allows.

Hi Nenah,
I would recommend: 4 oz CS (10-20 ppm); in a glass (non Metal) stir into

much MSM added, decant the clear solution and to this 4 oz. add 1 oz. DMSO
(99.9%--a liquid) and apply to clean affected area as often as
desired--probably 2 or 3 times a day. As far as adding Castor Oil--I've
never tried it, but feel that the oil/water mixture might not penetrate the
skin as well.

Not meaning to make light of this, but this formula and all DMSO mixtures

which I am aware would penetrate human skin--whether or not your dog's

you think would be sufficient? Should I include castor oil in the mix as

Many thanks.

I use DMSO full stregnth topically. In some people the Histamine
reaction is too intense, it turns them red and generates heat and in
some a burning sensation that is too strong, so they may need to dilute
it in half.

Not sure how much CS you need. It will not remain on the skin though, it
will be carried into the blood stream immediately along with anything
else on the skin. I assume that is what you want though. If you want it
to remain on the skin don't use the DMSO.

 3. Use only pure white woolen or cotton flannel for the packs.

     4. Always use castor oil over a clean flannel cloth. Do not add
cold castor oil to a flannel that is soaked in castor oil used
in the previous treatment.

 5. Use the packs with the heat pad 2 days a week over the abdomen
area to the right of your naval, 2 days a week over the spleen
area (bottom of left rib cage), and 3 days a week over the Thymus
gland (just above the heart). Use the packs one hour to 1 1/2
hrs. daily. Do the treatments daily for the first 4 weeks, after
which, do the treatments every other day, once over the three
target areas -- liver, thymus and spleen.

HOW TO APPLY THE CASTOR OIL PACKS

 1. Place a heating pad (Sunbeam -- sold in drug stores) which is
about 14" by 16" on a table.

 2. Cut a piece of plastic from a heavy gauge garbage bag about
14 inches by 16 inches and place it on top of the heating pad.

 3. Fold the wool or cotton flannel so it is two layers thick and
measures 12" by 13." Place it on top of the plastic sheet which
is on the heating pad.

 4. The first time you use castor oil, pour about 3/4 cup of cold
pressed castor oil on the flannel and spread evenly until the
flannel is completely saturated.

 5. Turn the heating pad on high for 5 minutes.

 6. Pick up the heating pad with the plastic sheet and flannel soaked
in castor oil and use both thumbs to hold it together and place
against your abdomen area, spleen area or the upper part of your
chest where the Thymus gland is located.

 7. In order to hold everything in place, wrap a large bath towel
around your body on top of the heating pad. Use 2 or 3 large pins
to hold it snug against your body. Reduce heat if it feels too
warm. After one hour or even longer, remove the heat pad and the
flannel which will stick to the plastic sheet. Massage the warm
castor oil into your body. Use a dry hand towel and massage the
remaining castor oil into the skin. Wait 5 minutes, then take a
bath or shower if desired.

 8. When you are done with the treatment, wash the flannel in
2 quarts of warm water with 1/4 cup of baking soda added.
Then rinse the flannel well before you use it next time.

DO NOT REUSE CASTOR OIL ONCE IT HAS BEEN HEATED. THE CONTINUOUS
REHEATING OF CASTOR OIL CAUSES IT TO FORM LIPID PEROXIDES AND
TO BECOME RANCID. RANCID CASTOR OIL MAY BE IMMUNO-SUPPRESSIVE.

First time users weekly schedule: Use the castor oil packs over the
thymus gland 3 times a week; 2 times a week over the spleen and
2 times a week over the liver area. Do the treatments for one hour
each day for the first 4 weeks. After the 4th week, do the treatment
3 times a week, every other day over the three target areas -- the
liver, thymus and spleen for one hour per treatment.

I am of the opinion that the amount of castor oil you absorb into
the skin may be more important than the length of time you use the
heat pad. DO NOT APPLY A CASTOR OIL TREATMENT OVER NEW FURNITURE.
IF CASTOR OIL GETS ON THE FURNITURE, USE CARPET SHAMPOO AND WARM
WATER AND SPONGE THE AREA. USE A DRY TOWEL TO SOAK UP IT THE EXCESS.
Either place a plastic sheet over new furniture or use an old chair
that does not have much value in case some castor oil drips onto it.

ROOM TEMPERATURE CASTOR OIL WITHOUT HEAT PAD

Robert M (Case No. 1) told me a friend of his massaged castor oil
over this chest and abdomen area before bedtime for two weeks and
that his CD4 count increased 120 points (from 540 to 660). He
estimates he used about 1 tablespoon daily. He did not use the heat
pad. I asked him about the problem of getting the castor oil on the
sheets. He said it was no problem as he

Would the person who posted that GREAT message on castor oil be willing
to send it along to me at h...@piggott.net ? I seem to have misplaced it.
Also, would it be acceptable to put this information on my home page?

Castor Oil - What a Wonder/ful elixar

1998-07-03 Thread Douglas Haack
Bill Kingsbury,

thankyou for that great castor oil posting. Sure food for thought and a
wonderful addition to CS and "taking back one's power".

Years ago when my daughter was just a newbie infant, her mother's milk
was embarassingly too abundant. We consulted a naturopath, who
recommended rubbing castor oil into the nursing mother's back - to
reduce the flow.

We were a little impatient and after a day or two we again rubbed in
more castor oil for the second time. As if the tap had been turned off -
the milk flow was reduced. In fact, her milk became inadequate after two
weeks and we then began feeding our girl from the bottle. We should
really have gone back and attempted to reactivate the milk production
and flow. One is always the wiser after an event!!

Take care, Douglas Haack, Sydney Oz
