Re: CS>How to make up a CS/MSM/Xylitol solution?
Jim, Sorry I can't answer your questions. They are very good ones. My only interest was in being able to use the xylitol without getting high blood pressure. What you can do is contact the company yourself and get your answers. _www.xlear.com_ (http://www.xlear.com) , (877) 599-5327. Hope this helps, Jill
Re: CS>How to make up a CS/MSM/Xylitol solution?
It is just a matter of where the raw ingredients come from, as far as I know. I just have a preference for U.S. made supplements over Chinese produced ones, having been told or read of some contamination problems with some China produced herbals and supplements. Besides, if there is any U.S. produced anything that I can afford, I try to purchase those. There is so little of anything made here anymore. Where I live for example, I can't buy U.S. produced Tilapia, and not even garlic. Yup, all the garlic sold where I live, whether a bulb of garlic or a jar of chopped garlicit all comes from China. sol Jim Holmes wrote: Does that mean that the "Vita-Flex" Brand that I buy at the feed store is not 99.8% MSM, as it says on the label? -- The Silver List is a moderated forum for discussing Colloidal Silver. The preservative would be to protect the product, it might or might not affect sinus fungus, per se. Was the issue addressed that of stuff growing in the product, or in the sinus? I contacted the president of the company, and he said that a small percentage of 1% of people using their product have this reaction due to the preservative in the product and told me to just add 1/2 tsp.xylitol to 2 oz. of water, placed in a plastic nasal spray bottle (you CAN pry the top off if you use some strength). I added the xylitol to colloidal silver. I think this may have produced a saturated solution of xylitol, as some of the crystals would not dissolve. I never had any fungal problems with this, and the Xlear company said nothing about fungus, but I assume they put preservative in the solution for a reason. What was the cause of the fungus--lack of preservative? In that case I wonder if the CS would do the job. Jill

From: "tlwidmer" Sent: Thursday, March 30, 2006 11:09 AM I am trying to find the right receipe for a sinus spray to help my family. How much MSM do I use--taking apart the capsules and mixing the power in--per CS? Is there another, better form to use? Also, do I just buy Xylitol in powdered form as well and mix it in? How much would I use? Hi Theresa, I pour almost boiling water into a 4 oz glass, just to heat the glass; pour out the water and put in about 2 oz of CS. When the CS has warmed up from the heat of the glass, stir in 1/4 tsp of MSM. I have the powdered form on hand but I'm sure opening up a capsule would work the same way. Done! Put into sprayer or dropper bottle/s. I made a batch with xylitol, probably used another 1/4 tsp but don't remember exactly. I would've continued doing this except for a warning that DaddyBob posted here, or to another list. He said that the xylitol actually caused a fungal condition, if I remember correctly.. DaddyBob, where are you? Anyway, just the CS/MSM does wonders. Sharon -- The Silver List is a moderated forum for discussing Colloidal Silver.
