When I started, about the same time that Trem did, Trem and I did not

All experimentation and research was independent. There simply wasn't any

But we came up with exactly the same operational parameters, he as an

2012-02-25 Thread Neville Munn

Praps you should make that clearer by rephrasing that to "all THESE generators
produce...etc etc", or maybe "all SHOP BOUGHT generators produce...etc etc",
most certainly not *ALL* generators.
And maybe the volume being produced should be stated also.
I don't use a shop bought unit and I don't get this occurring, however I only
produce a litre or so at a time, which is why I think production volume should
be stated, just for a bit of clarification, then everyone will have an idea of
WHEN or WHY this occurs.
If I observed what you're talking about in any of my batches, I'd be looking at
what I'm doing a bit closer.

The color of the brew.

What is your experience about color of the CS you have made yourself?
What that strikes me is that the color of my first production is a bit
yellow, compared to the tap water. From what I know the optimal result
should be crystal clear, the ones I have bought have been totally
clear. I have heard that yellow is ok but not the best. I especially
would like to hear from you that use SG6. Do you get crystal clear
results?

Re: CS>Interview on One Radio Network

2012-02-25 Thread Trem

From our website.

Trem

How to use a tabletop water distiller to produce very low conductivity, high
quality distilled water used to make ionic/colloidal silver water.

1.Remove the carbon discharge filter. It makes the water conductive.

2.Fill the boiling chamber no more than 3/4 full.

3.Distill only 1/2 gallon into the receiver.

4.Discard the remainder in the boiling chamber.

5.Repeat steps 2,3 and 4. You now have one gallon in the receiver.

6.Put 3/4 gallon of this water in the boiling chamber.

7.Distill only 1/2 gallon into the receiver.

You now have what is called double distilled water.

Allow to cool and try to use it. It should measure less than 1 microsiemen
using a PWT meter..

Ok, thanks for all the comments. I have two other questions:

(1) What is the simplest and cheapest way to distill water ) (buying
from a drugstore will be expensive in the long run)

(2) What is the best way to clean the silver wires between the brews ?
Should any substance be used?

Buy a new vessel to brew in. That makes a HUGE difference and bending the
wires could totally be the reason for what happened.

Thanks Asif for your response.

My distilled water was as good it can be since I bought it from
drugstore and I hade cleaned the vessel before use. However, I had to
bent the wires since the vessel was to shallow and they were more
than 1,5 inch apart at the end Perhaps that could be an explanation?

Re: CS>Interview on One Radio Network

2012-02-25 Thread asif nathekar
Also if the silver electrodes are not reasonably parallel then you will get
uneven wear and also inconsistent brews as the total square area on the
electrode will be at differing points, some areas will under precipitate and
some will under precipitate the silver both are bad from a consistency point of
view and can give a bad batch depending on how bent the wires are
If you need to, cut and shorten the electrodes , but ensure they are as
parallel as possible

Re: CS>Interview on One Radio Network

2012-02-25 Thread jaxi
I buy my distilled water. At the end of the day it is less of a headache
for me. Double distilling takes quite awhile and is just more work than I
can deal with working full time plus. Making my EIS is easy, set up my
jar, my water, the magnetic stirring thingy and my Silver Puppy. Set it on
auto and swap and when I come home in the evening it is done. I can easily
make a quart a day without trying hard and that is enough for our needs.
Could easily do more if I needed it, but a quart a day is more than enough
for our needs.

I wipe them off with a clean white paper towel between batches. I think it
is best not to use anything chemical or cleaning agent wise. Make sure not
to get the oils from your fingers on them.

AND make sure if you have used anything to clean your brewing vessel -
vinegar, H2O2, etc ... that you really really really make sure to get it
rinsed clean or that will contaminate the water and impact the EIS.

Re: CS>Interview on One Radio Network

2012-02-25 Thread asif nathekar
I would say buy a distiller on a well known auction website and look to pay
upto 200 dollars max but remember to double distill it makes all the difference

I clean with vinegar or liquid washing up soap that doesn't have any special
technologies that leave any residue and then give a final rinse with single
distilled water and I use a green plastic slightly abrasive pan scourer with no
cleaning agents to scrub with.
I understand that the washing up soap has salt in it which May react with the
silver to produce a compound on areas the two have met. But I use it anyway as
it has the best cleaning result
Perhaps our more knowledgeable members could help me understand this whether
this is true or not.

Peace to all

Ok, thanks for all the comments. I have two other questions:

(1) What is the simplest and cheapest way to distill water ) (buying
from a drugstore will be expensive in the long run)

(2) What is the best way to clean the silver wires between the brews ?
Should any substance be used?

Buy a new vessel to brew in. That makes a HUGE difference and bending the
wires could totally be the reason for what happened.

Thanks Asif for your response.

My distilled water was as good it can be since I bought it from

bent the wires since the vessel was to shallow and they were more

2012-02-25 Thread asif nathekar
My friend has a sg6 unit and he does get some small bits at the bottom of the
brewing vessel.
I would expect nearly all polarity switching unit to produce some silver fluff
as when the polarity switches the build up on the electrodes would be flung off
. And would collect at the bottom.
I wouldn't consider it a problem, just pour out the cs in a bottle and leave
and discard the water at the bottom with the fluff.

Re: CS>Interview on One Radio Network

2012-02-25 Thread Asif Nathekar

Hi Andre,

Here are some points :

1 ) Your brewing vessel should be very clean, and your silver should also be
very clean, meaning no oils from fingers e.t.c.

2) Use a very very good distilled water, preferably double distilled, I
distill my own and single distill never ever works well. I have had this
advice from others too.

3) Use a good meter to check the quality of your water and also the end
result. the water distilled water shouldn't have a reading of more than 1 us
or ppm.

4 ) Always clean the electrodes between brews.

5 ) If all that fails, call someone at Silvergen, Trem has earned a good
reputation for a reason!..

Give that a go and let us know.

Good luck!.

Peace to all,

Asif.

Hi dear friends of CS,

I have just tried my SG6 from www.silvergen.com. I chose that one
although it was expensive after reading a lot of about different
generators and it always got positive reviews and positive comments.
However, my first try was a bit disappointing. It took very long time
do to it, and it it swims around silverflakes on the surface and
bigger flakes lies at the bottom and I will have to filter it before
use. Since I have never done this before I do not really know what to
expect. Is this the way it should be?

Kind regards

André

Re: CS>Interview on One Radio Network

2012-02-25 Thread Kathryn Neff
Hi: I have had my Silvergen for about a year and have not had any of those
problems with it. I previously had one of their first models and this new
one is great. The one thing that was wrong with it was that the paddle did
not work. I called them and they sent out another one right away and I
shipped the faulty one back. They also sent me two more silver wires extra
for my trouble. I found them caring about their product. Perhaps a call
to them might help in finding out the problem. I have good clear CS from
that machine.
