No Tom (B), its shoving RES (HL on Steroids) down the throats of anyone that
cares to fly any/all of the other TD events. Great for Chuck, crappy for
those that don't play hyper-HL. Seems to me that RES should follow UNL in
this schedule, so the traditional multi-function events flow one after the
 other.

Chuck, crappy for those that don't play hyper-HL. Seems to me that RES
should follow UNL in this schedule, so the traditional multi-function
events flow one after the other.

For JD, the hobby is his job, so he is authorized to this stuff on company
time.

And I am envious, aren't you ?

Nothing is perfect but this new schedule is better than the past few years
schedules and improvement is always important.

At least for those of us who are still fortunate or willing to make the trip to
Muncie.

Gee Denny, I thought winter started with the Gordy Equinox and the
changing of the moons?

No! No! It's the mooning of the Gordy at the equinox!

What?? No Open Scale hand launch cross country??

Yes! Yes! Two years ago Team Polecat did HLG XC and set the record for
the task at 1.9mi. Made it through the graveyard, over the hill, past
the cornfield and around the corner. (Didn't come in last either).
Kinda hoping 1.5m XC may be held as a provisional event this year. If
not, we'll just slug it out with the big guys again. This time I'm
bringing the Shiner Boch.

Hmmm - DLG one weekend. HLG-XC the next? May have to build a 2M for
mid-week amusement. What was that they were saying in Dallas - friends
don't let friends fly what, Henry?

[RCSE] National Balsa

2007-12-11 Thread Jay Hunter
If anyone is still building planes out of wood, just thought I would put a
plug in for national Balsa. Easy online ordering, email confirmation and
tracking number. Reasonably fast shipping and decent prices. I had just
finished an order with Lone Star a few weeks back, and National seems every
bet as good as they are with regards to service.

I don't know if I have really light wood or not, but it all looks good.

I'll add a little bit to the whine...why do we have to split the Nats up the
last week of July, 1st week of Aug? That limits me to maybe doing HL but not
much else since business requires end of the month attendance. Oh well...kybosh

I guess you can't please everyone.

TK,

Glad to see the dates for the Soaring and Electric NATS have been
determined. To keep in step with a long line of whiners, I wish that NOS and
HL were
separated as I would like to do both. However, I do believe the rent - a -
Jeff will be available for the NOS event so the Blaster 2 and the XP 5 may not
make the trip.

For Dave Register, I suggest you contact Ed Whyte
([EMAIL PROTECTED] (http://[EMAIL PROTECTED]) ) to obtain a Rogue 2.0 for the
2M
contest. There will be a few there so the contest within the contest should
be interesting. Henry who?

Barry Kennedy informed me that there have been at least 465 Supra's
manufactured. How many will attend the NATS? Send me your guess (Number of
Supra's in unlimited competition) by personal email and I will keep the tally.
The
winner will be announced at the banquet and will receive a small prize from

Build season? Wimp! Last week I flew at 20 F, 11PM in the dark. And
twice more since. (Not too many thermals, I'll admit, and the L/D was
only 4:1) The trees in my backyard are hungry for foam, and I may have
to do it again.
