[SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] Play on Album does not start playing from song 1
Hi Recently I have seen very odd behavior from LMS. Whenever I choose "Play" on an album (no matter if it is from WebUI, from iPeng or directly on Player) it is as if it starts from the track that was last played, and NOT from beginning of the album as I would expect. It creates a playlist/queue with the tracks in the correct album order, but does not start from the beginning. I find this very very annoying. Anyone? Hi, a little bit of 'google' (http://musoware.com/wiki/index.php?title=VortexBox_Configuration) shows something like Code: [squeezebox_db] path = /var/lib/squeezeboxserver/cache guest ok = yes writeable = yes create mask = 0777 So i decided to get my spare lms out of the storage get some winblows and do the stuff they told me to do. Then i added some stuff in my library did a rescan and stoppped lms and backed up my cache folder. After fiddling with that muso i go back to my spare lms and checked the db files. guess what the databasefiles are not the same as in the backup taken after lms was stopped .. In order to use muso, I have to create a symlink for the Cache folder so that muso can access it. So instead of its default location of /volume1/@appstore/SqueezeCenter/Cache I create a symlink to a folder called SqueezeShare and move it there. If I don't do this, muso cannot access the Cache folder. Here's the command I use to accomplish this: ln -s /volume1/SqueezeShare/Cache /volume1/@appstore/SqueezeCenter Morbeas's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=53547 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=108492 ___ Squeezecenter mailing list Squeezecenter@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/squeezecenter

As the dev said in a post previously, muso connects in a read-only state. That error you posted was a fluke. Anyway, I first wanted to see if making some more space would provide the answer before I did something drastic like re-install everything from scratch (which would need to be the case if I take muso out of the equation). So I want to go down this route first to find out how much space my system partition has. If that also proves to not be the problem, then I'll remove the symlink, reinstall LMS from scratch and see how things go from there. So, here are the results of the df- h command. does this provide any new clues? +---+ |Filename: Clipboard01.jpg | |Download: http://forums.slimdevices.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=24395| +---+ Morbeas's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=53547 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=108492 ___ Squeezecenter mailing list Squeezecenter@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/squeezecenter

Run the following command using ssh will give you some idea of the system partition usage: Code: # df -h Somehow I get the idea that you still use Muso? Is that correct? Also, your post on the Synology Forum shows that Muso wants to write to your LMS database as well: https://forum.synology.com/enu/viewtopic.php?f=131=138442#p512273 So, if you are using Muso, please follow Michael's advice and stop using it for a few weeks! Hi The anser was 'here' (http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?108492-Constantly-crashing-server-(database-image-malformed)=902994=1#post902994) Please stop lms Stop samba Clean your cache folder Start lms again DONT start samba again I didnt believe your Database get malformed again. Please try this out. IMHO LMS would show something in the logfile when there is no space left DJanGo's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1516 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=108492 ___ Squeezecenter mailing list Squeezecenter@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/squeezecenter

So again, how do I fix this? Still waiting for QNAP tech support response but looks like I have to rebuild the QNAP system from scratch. IIRC Squeezeslave is ancient and also cannot play AAC natively - you should upgrade to Squeezelite which is an up to date a software player It is likely that transcoding in LMS is not working. If you do not get a message "cannot open file for ..." then probably LMS supplied binaries for faad or flac is not working on your system which sound like incorrect installation of LMS (e.g. 32 bit LMS on a 64 bit system) bpa's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1806 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=108566 ___ Squeezecenter mailing list Squeezecenter@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/squeezecenter

Nice! Works great both on my iPhone and as a chrome-app window. A few commenst/ideas/requests right of the bat... - Volume bar is not that intuitive, is it possible to use a long ramp instead? - an additional dark theme? - As a chome-app I use it as a side bar and could make use of an even more narrow layout.
