When I asked Digimaster december 28, I was not familiar with SSH clients (like PuTTY) at all. After his answer I spend about 2 to 3 mornings to learn how solve installation problems of QLogitechMediaServer and how to use a SSH Client by reading this complete thread of 92 pages. And Googled and watched YouTube tutorials all things I did not understand. This thread is very complete. I'm not an IT-guy. So why would you not be successfull ;-) Alternative, quick and plug & play solution: buy Heos (Home Speakers or Marantz PM7000n). IMHO better sound than Sonos. > And yes, I installed the last version from qnapclub.eu. Would it help > to install a previous version? Answer is no. You can find the MAC adres of your NAS on the sticker ath the back of on your NAS or use QFinder Pro - See YouTube for Putty Tutorials- 3) Quit the menu 4) Do -Case sensitive!- cd .. > [Enter] cd /share/*/.qpkg/LogitechMediaServer [Enter] ./QLogitechMediaServer.sh restart [Enter] Now look at messages that appear. Could be that LMS is on a other port than 9001 Alternative of step 4 is 4a) cd .. > [Enter] cd /share/*/.qpkg/LogitechMediaServer [Enter] tail QLogitechMediaServer.log [Enter] Now look in the log which portnumber is mentioned Freek's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=63217 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=108702 ___ Squeezecenter mailing list Squeezecenter@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/squeezecenter

After installation I get the warning at port 9001 : 404 Not Found The requested URL was not found on this server In the Log file, I' find an error log and an info log: 1) squeezeboxserver 127.0.0.1 QLogitechMediaServer start[QLogitechMediaServer] error: QLogitechMediaServer is disabled in the appstore, or is not installed ! 1) squeezeboxserver 127.0.0.1 QLogitechMediaServer start[QLogitechMediaServer] info: LogitechMediaServer 8.2.1-1639114554 is started in the Background on [9237] ! Re: [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] QLogitechMediaServer for Qnap with QTS 4.2 or higher and x86_64/I686/X86 support !
I tried to instal QLogitechMediaServer on my TS-453 PRO with firmware 5.0.0.1891. But did not succeed. IP of the NAS is 192.168.2.4:8080. Internet access works fine. Iv no problem with Firmware updating. First I tried to add the QnapClub store to the Qnap App center by adding https://www.qnapclub.eu/nl/repo.xml to the as decribed at https://www.qnapclub.eu/en/howto/1 Unfortunately without result. I dont see the QnapClub Repository within the Qnap AppCenter. At second I downloaded the latest QLogitechMediaServer version LogitechMediaServer_2.25.00_x86.qpkg from https://www.qnapclub.eu/nl/qpkg/545. After installation I get the warning at IP address 192.168.2.4:9001 : 404 Not Found The requested URL was not found on this server Im an absolute Qnap newbe. Ive no idea how to open hidden folders, for instance to find and read PLEASE-README-FIRST.txt. @Digimaster: Can you give me advise please?
