Maybe late to the game here, but wanted to thank you and the community for the continued support for this great package. I just upgraded my vortexbox to 2.5, and now run LMS 7.9.2 .. I went to LMS settings, and created presets from the drop down ... this looks like a much easier way to oranize favorites (I have a lot ! ) I have a duet controller/remote -- after creating the presets, where do they show up -- I do not see them in Favorites...I was able to find My Presets under Radio - but this takes me to Tune In Radio ... [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] Accessing VLC music stream on LAN with Squeezebox
Hello - I am simply "buffaloed" as to how to get LMS to playback a VLC music stream, which is being hosted locally. I am sending the stream out from one computer on the home network. I can play the stream on another computer on the home network with VLC as client - no problems there, so URL etc are correct. ( http://10.209.162.139:8080 ) For some reason, I cannot access the stream from either Windows Media Player or Squeezebox via LMS using the same computer on the home network. I have tried entering the URL into the Tune In URL page in Squeezebox, and there is no error ... it seems to "play" for about 15 seconds (no sound), and then stop. LMS is being hosted w/in a Vortexbox. My server information : Logitech Media Server Version: 7.9.1 - 0.7.20180404git1522249619 @ Mon May 14 10:51:59 EDT 2018 Many thanks for any help/guidance you might provide ... Re: [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] Adding Media Folder
I was able to move it to an existing media folder directory, and scanning is fine...my plm is if I wished to move it to a higher directory ... i.e. from /storage/mp3/Opera to /storage/Opera Not a huge issue since everything scans ok etc.., I just see no errors etc which may explain why I cannot add an additional media folder... strictly for organizational purposes here ... the sw functions just fine, unless I wish to create a NEW media folder ... kappclark's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=29572 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=108861 ___ Squeezecenter mailing list Squeezecenter@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/squeezecenter
Re: [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] Adding Media Folder
Sorry - don't know the OS, but I seem to have the same issue adding a new media folder to LMS, using the browser ... I have 9 folders currently setup ... trying to add a 10th called opera, but it does not allow me to apply the new folder... The directory permissions are the same as the other folders .. I can have the content as a subfolder of an existing directory ... I know the collection needs some work, but, to be clear -- if a playlist is created from files across different folders, all from the same genre, then the artwork should be whatever is associated with the individual file ? (i.e. there is no way to nec over-ride the default artwork ? ) .. I have been using MP3tag and Mediamonkey to tag the files... So, I created another playlist, test2, based on Oldies genre, content comes from a variety of folders and formats (mp3, flac) and now I am getting the individual artwork (but note - each song has "no album', but artwork is varied... I see I need to do some cleaning up here .. Re: [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] Playlist Artwork - where does LMS find it ?
Hello - Here is what I do (Duet controller) Clear current playlist My Music -> Genre -> Oldies press + Select Play It will show artwork from previous playlist (in this case, Renaissance music) The playlist is not a saved playlist ... when I save the playlist (I called it test) then I open it, it shows the same image from the renaissance) I guess the sw is getting the artwork from cache somewhere ?
