Of course this means that a fresh outgoing message could be sent almost immediately, or up to 10 minutes later, as the current wait could be anytime within its timed cycle. But this option is still very useful to me, and something I have in Windows Live Mail, a client not well supported by MS that I desperately want to replace. Inojim, I'm having trouble thinking of a good reason why you would want to hold your outgoing e-mails until you start to check if you have any incoming e-mails!! With google I did find the 451 one, downloaded and used it. about:plugins still reports the 378, but the new libflashpayer.so is different in size. Will have to look into this to see why I have this. # ls -li total 34032 85 -rwxrwxrwx 1 root root 17435300 mrt 4 01:34 libflashplayer.so (is the new downloaded one) 102 -rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 17410532 dec 19 2012 libflashplayer.so-old (is the old 378 one) # I went to the adobe site and downloaded from there the 451. I've received a number of emails in just the opposite regard, liking how it was set up, so... to each their own I suppose. Using synaptic to completely uninstall then reinstalling SeaMonkey would have saved you 'hours of work' also disabling and or removing all the addons/extension would have done the same thing. That perhaps is a couple minutes of work at best. But thanks for the feedback, its much appreciated. So I updated the thread of the initial post to put SOLVED on the subject line. I know now even the owner of an original post can't change anything to his own post, as some newsgroups permit to do so. You can Reply to your original post and change the title by adding :SOLVED. That way it all stays together. That's what I did finally, but then the first post doesn't reflect the [SOLVED], but so be it here. -- User agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux i686; rv:36.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/36.0 SeaMonkey/2.33.1 Build identifier: 20150321194732 ___ support-seamonkey mailing list support-seamonkey@lists.mozilla.org https://lists.mozilla.org/listinfo/support-seamonkey

This is not a promotion of LXLE it's a thank you email and hopefully an opportunity for SeaMonkey to shine and shine bright. Release Notes can be read here and be sure to see our SeaMonkey memory footprint comparison screenshots located below the distribution images. http://www.lxle.net/articles/?post=lxle-14042-12045-released ~Ronnie Fantastic! I'm certain we will all benefit by your move of bundling SeaMonkey with LXLE. I was just about to post on this. I installed the new LXLE on a machine, anxious to see how they modified SM. What a bummer It's barely recognizable. The handy top menu is gone. So much is changed, so many add-ons automatically enabled, it took me HOURS to get it to look remotely like the SM I'm used to. LXLE, you've borked the app beyond recognition. Why do this? If you simply wanted to enhance it, you could have done that without making it into a completely different looking app. Very, very disappointed. ___ support-seamonkey mailing list support-seamonkey@lists.mozilla.org https://lists.mozilla.org/listinfo/support-seamonkey

Ubuntu packaging
Hi, I have been trying to decipher the best way to enable using a protocol handler for: apt:// I know I can enable it easily myself (through about:config), but I would like it to be enabled for all new users. Is there a way the person in charge of packaging can make this change in the default seamonkey packaging? This is the one hurdle I face, as I will not be able to hand configure each user's computer and account. -- Regards ___ support-seamonkey mailing list support-seamonkey@lists.mozilla.org https://lists.mozilla.org/listinfo/support-seamonkey

This is the one hurdle I face, as I will not be able to hand configure each user's computer and account. Referencing http://kb.mozillazine.org/Register_protocol#Firefox_3.5_and_above It like like you can do it at the system level by passing configuring in SeaMonkey: In a terminal, type: gconftool-2 -s /desktop/gnome/url-handlers/foo/command '/path/to/app %s' --type String gconftool-2 -s /desktop/gnome/url-handlers/foo/enabled --type Boolean true Replace foo on both lines with the protocol you want to register and /path/to/app with the path to the application you want to run. So if you have gdebi installed: sudo gconftool-2 -s /desktop/gnome/url-handlers/apt/command '//usr/bin/gdebi %s' --type String sudo gconftool-2 -s /desktop/gnome/url-handlers/apt/enabled --type Boolean true -- Take care, Jonathan --- LITTLE WORKS STUDIO http://www.LittleWorksStudio.com ___ support-seamonkey mailing list support-seamonkey@lists.mozilla.org https://lists.mozilla.org/listinfo/support-seamonkey

Look under Edit | Preferences | Browser | Helper Applications and you'll see several entries for PDFs, handled different ways. If you change the one that specifies Use Acrobat XI to one of the options that does work, that should solve it. Of course, Use Acrobat XI should /always/ work for PDFs. That is why I said it was best to get the plugin with your package manager and let it update a *single* instance of the plugin. In my puppy linux, and maybe all other linuxes, there is that plugin directory in /usr/lib/mozilla/plugins where the plugins are stored. In my setup I symlink to the place where the plugins are really. As this plugins directory is common for SeaMonkey as well as for Firefox, I didn't understand how SeaMonkey could find another one. But SM apparently did and I made inaccessible all other instances of the plugin, which apparently was effective.
