no audio with seamonkey 2.53 - yes audio in 2.49 (linux slackware 14.1)

All was working without any problems on my computer (SeaMonkey
software) until very recently. I'm not sure if my computer was the
cause of my problems or whether Verizon or AOL had a hand in
causing my problems...whatever the cause, I now have a work around
that involves three software packages (Thunderbird, AOL, and
SeaMonkey) to do what I was doing on SeaMonkey alone. Any
settings in your account or profile (that you are willing to share
with me) may help me to return to some sanity on my computer. No,
I am not seeking any personal information, such as usernames or
passwords, in my seeking help.
Please note that I had a 6.5 hour virus/malware scan of my
computer and no problems were found. I then got in touch with my
virus scan people for help and they had me send the results of my
scan to them for further review...the review did not turn up any
problems. Thus, I don't think the problem that put me in this
mess was my computer...I believe it had something to do with
either Verizon or AOL.
It was good to hear from you and thanks for letting me know that I
was not alone when I made the decision to keep my Verizon email
address.

Address book handling: Collected Addresses
I happen to be running Seamonkey 2.53.2, but I'm realizing that I've been seeing this for some time -- certainly in various releases of 2.49, and possibly further back than that. I make periodic visits to my Collected Addresses address book, and generally move the addresses I want to keep permanently into other address books, and discard most of the rest. Usually, I don't pay attention to handling until much later when I repeat the exercise (sometimes months apart), but more than once, I've noticed addresses in Collected Addresses with a deja vu feeling of "I thought I had moved or deleted that address a long time ago". What's happening is that once I move or delete addresses, and Seamonkey restarts, a re-visit to Collected Addresses shows those addresses still there, although for moved addresses, they are being correctly copied to other folders. As far as I can tell, I'm only seeing this on the Collected Addresses folder, although I don't frequently delete addresses from other folders. If I was seeing this kind of effect on a mail folder, I would normally re-index the folder, but I'm not aware of a similar capacity for doing that with an address book. I was only Win7 x64 for nearly ten years with no crashes at all, (using SeaMonkey up to 2.49.x). I think it started with v2.53. I don't recall earlier versions doing it. You should see a matching event in the application event log, you can copy and paste it. xul.dll could mean it's related to a plugin.
