The last three security updates still causing problems
Hi, I just talked with a Microsoft rep who finally admitted that there is a problem with the last series of security updates causing unnecessary security warnings when opening links from the favorites folder in internet explorer. He advised that one way to solve this problem is to downgrade to the 1511 version of windows 10 until the problem is fixed, but I like the new anniversary update, so I don't plan to do that, I'll just put of with the unnecessary security warnings and keep bugging Microsoft. -- Bob, K8LR, tinn...@charter.net ___ Any views or opinions presented in this email are solely those of the author and do not necessarily represent those of Ai Squared. turn off the mouse tracking in the mouse menu in the w e control panel. this worked for me. i want mouse tracking on for the desktop. but the start menu uses the same explorer.set file so i had to create a new set file while the start menu is opened and i called it explorer2.set and turned mouse tracking off so it does not get stuck on the search box when you tab away from it. after you create the set file make sure it is associated with the start menu while it is still opened. -Original Message- From: Reg Webb via Talk Sent: Friday, September 30, 2016 4:17 AM To: talk@lists.window-eyes.com Subject: Recent change in Windows7 start menu Has anyone else lost the list view in the start menu under Windows7? Recently, I had uninstalled the newest version of iTunes, 12.4, I believe, and installed 12.1 which I found on an Apple downloads page. 12.1 was very usable, but I decided to update again to the newest version just to be current, and hoping for the best as updates came out, but I continue to be disappointed by Apple. Anyway, I still have the 12.1 installer and may use it again within a virtual machine, but, for now, I am okay struggling with the newest version. Now, as to your complaint about not being able to view any more than one track in an album, I can confirm this in my own experience. One thing which helped me to see all of the tracks in my library, sorted by album, is to choose the Album option in the Sort By drop-down on the View menu. By choosing this option, what you get is a huge list of all the tracks in your media library sorted by album such that each track in the album is there flowing from the previous album into the next album, and this list is, at least, alphabetical. I am trying to log into my bank, but Eset insists on opening its secure banking payment system, and it is seeing Window-Eyes as a key logger threat. I don't know how to set Window-Eyes to be in the whitelist, and I can't get into Eset to turn the banking payment system off because Eset is now refusing to interface with Window-Eyes.
