I didn't. Only ever had single tabs and they've always behaved (once I

You must be under great stress lately.

I didn't mention MANY, I said "I'm not the ONLY one having the

with my little knowledge of this foreign dialect, means just that, me

This is the old known bug, see https://www.ritlabs.com/bt/view.php?id=5075.

I think it lies deep inside The Bat!'s sources and I doubt it's going to
be fixed, just like faulty operation with the MS Exchange server via
MAPI (Maxim Masiutin knows what I'm talking about) or the incorrect
encoding translation of LDAP search results (bugtrack id #4945).

Yes, same here, but I cannot reproduce the problem. I have the
opposite. I hit Delete, they disappear, and when I come back to that
window, they appear...

Question: did you try using message list tabs first with 3.61.07, or
did you try it with 3.61.06 first?

I ask, because we, who tried it with 3.61.06 first (or 3.61.05?), when
we got the newer version (3.61.06 or 3.61.07), we had every existing
tab appeared twice. Maybe related to this?

Please include a signature delimiter in your messages. This consists

Even if you barely have a signature to speak of, that doesn't make any

This is probably some debugging backdoor. When I connect to this
port, I get some (binary) challenge, but no idea what to answer.

Btw, since it binds only to 127.0.0.1, there's no reason to get overly
paranoid; The Bat is not reachable from the outside vil

I've been labelling messages that are replies to mine. This has been
occurring reliably. However, these are the only messages that are
being filtered apart from an occasional other that is filtered after
reaching my Inbox.

Most of my filtering is done server side. The colour labelling is done
on messages already filtered server side to particular folders. I
don't know if you move the messages to particular folders and then
label them, all with with TB!.

I'm seeing this more at work, than at home. I run mostly the same apps
in both places, though both machines have different makeup with regard
to hardware. I don't know if this is contributing.

My work machine is a 2.4GHz P4 Celeron with a SiS chipset and 512MB of
RAM, plus NVidia graphics.

OTOH, my home system is a 3GHz P4 with 1GB of RAM, a pentium
motherboard with ATI graphics.

Tabs disappearing

2005-09-26 Thread Melanie
Hello tbbeta,

Tabs are disappearing if i click "OK" in preferences dialogue (while
Tabs-Register is not selected).

I have selected the following tabs: unread, flagged and parked.

1. Open Options/Preferences...
2. Change nothing and press Ok
3. Tabs unread, flagged and parked are gone
(except all-tab)

You have to enable these tabs again in preferences.

If Tabs-Register is selected while you open preferences do the
following:
1. Select another Tab (e.g. General)
2. Press Ok (tabs are still there)
3. Open again Options/Preferences
4. Press Ok (tabs are gone)

If this is what you're referring to, then I experience this a lot.
Because of this, I tend to exit TB! whenever I'm finished with it for
any extended period. I don't leave it running all the time since this
only leads to problems with the connection and synching etc. The IMAP
connection isn't not stable over long periods.

With the policy of not leaving TB! running for long periods, I haven't
had problems. No inordinate delays with loading messages etc.

So, just to clear: you have the AV after you click on print and BEFORE
the printer selection window would come up, right? So, you dont see
the printer selection window, right? Or it happens AFTER you selected
the printer?

Could you select a mail that gives you AV? Or all of them give you AV?
If just some, please export as Unix mailbox and send me in private.

I tried 3 PCs with TB!, no problem with FP... Not at all :(( Or :))

Try to uninstall and reinstall FP. Or if you put TB .05 back, it does

this problem can be solved by editing DEF file or deleting and
creating new one (with loosing setting).

If You select change in DEF file, find [MailerForm].[mWatchRepliesIn]
and change it to [MsgCtl].[mWatchRepliesIn].

Could you send them to anybody else for testing?

Hmm, I've tried this version, but this is the one with the IMAP login
problem (mentioned numerous times on this mailing list.), and thus it
is unusable... :(

Hi George,

GMM> I found the error

Sorry, but it is still unreproducible for me. Could you test it again
from scratch? There are some problems with incorporating changes from
different .def file versions and these problems are in WIP currently.
So I need to be sure if your problem is not in customizer itself, but
in merging it from version to version.

Let me guess - a program that slows down the computer by forcing all

Not over here. I'm not an expert at all, perhaps it has something to do with
the fact that I'm using Memory Zipper.

Perhaps it has been asked before, but do you use any plugins?

Define a QT for each language you'd like to use with the %LANGUAGE
macro and, in the Options tab of each QT, define your preferred
shortcut. I've just tried Alt+B for my British English and works fine.

I see that the encoding is suppressed in TheBat.

I have reported this in BT under the id 5144 with attachments showing the
source of an example message.

Corrupted attachments in 3.61.07

2005-09-26 Thread Robert van der Hulst
Group,

I have the following problem:

I am using a mailserver that forwards newsgroup messages to a pop3 mailbox.
Lately I have discovered that Thebat corrupts attachments that are part of
the newsgroup message.

The original attachment are encoded like this in the news message:

begin 666 grafx03.xls
MT,\1X*&Q&N$`/@`#`/[_"0`&```!
M`0``$ [EMAIL PROTECTED]
M
.
.
.
M
:
`
end

TB converts this to an other encoding format. The message inside TB has the
following encoding:

Content-Type: multipart/mixed; boundary="[EMAIL PROTECTED]@[EMAIL
PROTECTED]@0D1B7"
.
.
.
.
[EMAIL PROTECTED]@[EMAIL PROTECTED]@0D1B7
Content-Type: application/octet-stream; name="grafx03.xls"
Content-Transfer-Encoding: base64

0M8R4KGxGuEAPgADAP7/CQAGAAABAQAA
EgEAAAD+AAD/

If I download the message with 3.60.02 and save the attachment in 3.60.02
the attachment is fine.

When I download the message with 3.61.07 and save the attachment in 3.61.07
the attachment is corrupted.

The problem is not the actual saving of the message but the conversion from
the encoding format.

Has anyone else seen this ?
