We did not remove the CSAPI, since the Hunspell dictionaries are not yet mature for some languages. but CSAPI dissappeared from Options dialog. Not in my options dialog. One can be honest and yet also recognize that the RitLabs team members do have deadlines and are working very hard. N'est ce pas? SSCE use problem (was: Re[2]: 4.0 news)
Hello Stefan, MP I doubt if this falls under the definition of complete showstoppers, but MP the fact that TB doesn't remember which languages to use for spell checking MP is rather annoying. Hmm. Language selection is stored here. I've just added Norwegian and restarted TB! to continue writing this message. Norwegian is still in the list, so it's OK over here :-) Maybe related to this: in Hungary, we have two SSCE directories. One where the words are stored correctly, with accents. And we built another one for old foxes :), without accents (when e.g. I started to use PCs, telnet could not handle accents, so I and a lot of folks type without accents.) We built this second SSCE directory with the ID of the Norwegian language. So, if you select Norwegian, you actually used the unaccented Hungarian dictionary. (99.9% of the people at us dont select to install your international pack, just install the core programs and install the English/Hungarian dictionaries they download from us.) Link to the unaccented dict. files: http://www.freeweb.hu/thebat/files/unaccent.rar Ssceno.tlx Ssceno2.clx So, it worked so far, now it does not work. The accented Hungarian SSCE still works. I write down some test word: kanal allat majus This should not be underlined. At me, they are underlined as incorrect words. -- Vili The Bat 4.0.0.20 (BETA) on Windows XP 5.1 2600 Szervizcsomag 2 Current beta is 4.0.0.20 | 'Using TBBETA' information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html

Re: 4.0 news
Hello Stefan, I think that to avoid confusion, specially to new users,... Also specially for new users, I think HELP should clearly explain that although new MicroEd uses the default profile, it is NOT a WYSIWYG editor. The recipient will get a plain text message with no font, colour or style attributes. -- Best regards, Miguel A. Hello Stefan, Check one of MAU's email, e.g.: msgid:[EMAIL PROTECTED] I see this mail in the Message autoview with profile no. 1. If I open it in a separate window, it uses the default profile. This message has windows-1251 coding, which I did NOT included in profile no.1. They are still shown with profile no.1. in Message autoview. - Vili The Bat 3.99.6 on Windows XP 5.1 2600 Szervizcsomag 2 Current beta is 4.0.0.20 | 'Using TBBETA' information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html
Re[2]: 4.0 news
Hello Bob, Well, it happened many times before, so it won't be a big surprise, but... we are going to release 4.0 on February, 7th. It was the last date set for this release, so we must keep with it. I am sure most or all people here understand your deadlines and admire what you do accomplish. Come on man, if we are not critical, who will be? This American style good job, good job will not move things forward. Ritlabs guys are tough, they can handle honesty. Now, you can start throwing tomatoes. I don't think throwing tomatoes would help you or Rit Labs or the customers. It is not about throwing tomatoes. It is about saying out if we think this is NOT a release version. -- Vili Current beta is 4.0.0.20 | 'Using TBBETA' information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html

Hi Kertész, Tuesday, February 5, 2008, 9:35:38 PM, you wrote: I am sure most or all people here understand your deadlines and admire what you do accomplish. Come on man, if we are not critical, who will be? One way of supporting RitLabs is to examine the alpha/beta very carefully! That is different than saying to the RitLabs team something very critical, like Why don't you fix bug #123B by midnight, you dumb klutz? This American style good job, good job will not move things forward. Ritlabs guys are tough, they can handle honesty. Hey, you are not talking to George Bush, you know. He says good job even when his people do a bad job! One can be honest and yet also recognize that the RitLabs team members do have deadlines and are working very hard. N'est ce pas? Now, you can start throwing tomatoes. I don't think throwing tomatoes would help you or Rit Labs or the customers. It is not about throwing tomatoes. Hello Stefan, Wednesday, February 6, 2008, 1:04:19 AM, among other things, you wrote: ST We tried to remove all screaming problems before the X day, so ST hopefully it won't be too buggy. If you have complete showstoppers, ST please use this one day that left, so we can try to fix it. The good ST news (as usually) - we are not going to stop after the release, nobody ST goes off to holidays or anything like that, so the new Beta cycle starts ST immediately after the release (actually, the current one will just ST continue), so we will make a better 4.0.x release before we go to ST 4.1.x. ST ST Now, you can start throwing tomatoes. I installed: http://www.ritlabs.com/download/files3/the_bat/beta/thebat_home_4-0-0-20-beta.msi http://www.ritlabs.com/download/files3/the_bat/beta/intpack_4-0-0-20-beta.msi The spell check is now a total shambles. Up until now it has worked fine for me! 1. We cannot now *simply* add a word to the dictionaries if it cannot find a word which has been used. The 'add' button is blued out. 2. If one tries to use the 'add to dictionary' button at the bottom of the spellcheck window, the new window which appears does not display the word which one is trying to add but displays a totally irrelevant list of months of the year. 3. If one is using 'automatic checking' and does a 'right click' on a word underlined by the spell checker and chooses 'add to dictionary' nothing seems to happen. The word is not saved. Also the 'options' window is still totally greyed out. How can you possibly even consider issuing a new version with such a major item outstanding? -- Best regards, Roger :flag-southafrica: The Bat! v4.0.0.20 (BETA) with AntiSpamSniper 2.7.1.5, on Windows XP, version 5 1, build 2600 and Service Pack 2 Current beta is 4.0.0.20 | 'Using TBBETA' information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html
