RG I absolutely CAN confirm that problem reply edited for brevity AM I can't ... I'm using MicroEd as default editor. I open a AM new message, fill in the To: and Subject: headers, tab into the message AM body field and then switch editors to HTML only. I type a few words and AM then put in the Outbox or save as draft. Both work. Save as draft works here under your directions above, BUT not send (or, if send is deferred, place in outbox). AM I then tried using the HTML/Plain Text option for formatting. Again, no AM problem putting the message in the outbox or saving as draft. Your configuration is not exhibiting this issue, I guess. AM I then changed from using MicroEd as my default editor and changed to AM the Plain Text (Windows) editor. I did this because I noted that you AM seem to use the Plain Text (Windows) editor as your default. I then AM tried the same things with HTML formatted messages. Again, I can save as AM draft or send to outbox for sending. Not here. AM I'm using the Rich Text Viewer as my default viewer. I tried altering my default editor to MicroEd and then changing the settings for individual messages with Options/Message Format as you said you did and everything then went beautifully exactly as it should with the message correctly formatted without multiple draft files moving to the Outbox when I hit the Put letter in Outbox button. I tried a few variations of coloured text, varying text size and with and without inline pictures. Every combination worked fine. I then changed to the Plain Text (Windows) Editor as my default and once again everything went again fine this time. The same with setting up both the HTML Editor options as default. Whatever the problem was, it has obviously been corrected (for now at least) by swapping the default editor and using the message format option. Subsequent changes of default editor haven't resulted in it reappearing. This could be one of those really annoying problems to track down if it only happens intermittently and not to all users. I will keep my fingers crossed that it will keep working for me, just in case I ever really do want to send HTML mail. Open PGP Problem
-BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE- Hash: SHA1 Hello TBUDL! Normally I use GPGrelay to handle pgp functions but while experimenting with The Bat's built in open pgp support I have been experiencing a problem. Specifically this error message appears when attempting to sign or encrypt and sign: gpg: no default secret key: secret key not available gpg: [stdin]: sign+encrypt failed: secret key not available This occurs using GnuPG. I installed the key into PGP 8.0.2 and selected that PGP version in The Bat! and no problems occurred signing or encrypting. This problem only occurred in 1 of my several email accounts. They all have different keys. The only difference I noticed was that the key on the problematic account is an RSA key. I temporarily disabled that key and created a DSA key with the same email address. The Bat! encrypted and signed without a problem. This leads me to believe that there is a problem using GnuPG RSA keys with The Bat's open pgp handler. I tired it, but got a message that read 0 lost folders found. I am sure you have checked this already, I am just goping through it: 1.) The accounts must exist. If they don't, create them manually. 2.) Home Directory under Account / Files Directories must point to where the lost folders actually are on the HD. I don't get it. I've done this trasnfer thing before. Its not the 1st time. I take each account folder and move it from the backup to inside the Mail folder on the new PC. Backup (rename) the account.* files. Then create the accounts in TB and close TB. Now overwrite the newly created account.* files with the backups and reopen TB. Your Account / Properties setting should be fine from the backups. *Now* hit shft-crtl-alt-L. TB will not find accounts; the key combo above will find only lost folders of existing accounts. -- Cheers, Thomas. Moderator der deutschen The Bat! Beginner Liste. Re: v2.01 references header?
Hello Peter, GS I found it. See View | Follow up. k, in the Edit Mail Message window. In the 'normal' view message window it would be guess you meant View | Message Headers | Follow up: That way you can see it before replying ... You are correct from the 'View folder.' I actually meant in the Edit Mail Message window which is View | Follow up so I can edit out a the reference/follow up header so the message is not buried in a thread. Apparently Ritlabs has made some changes with the newer release. I just installed today, so I'm not sure what else is in store for me. -- Best regards, Greg Strong Using The Bat! v2.01 on Windows XP 5.1 Build 2600 Service Pack 1 Current version is 2.01 | Using TBUDL information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html

Selective restore
At some point during a clean up and move of mail from one account to another, I have managed to dump the contents of a folder. It's not the end of the world, but I would like to have that mail folder if possible. Is there a way to do a selective restore, just going for that one folder in the backup?
