But Get Your Facts Right the US didn't bomb Kabul, it's a local
battle not the US, at least not yet.

I wrote it few minutes after CNN reported bombings. It took USA 7 min
to say it wasn't their helicopters. At that time it was considered to
be a fast.

No, it is not. Just think. First of all people showned on TV were kids
in most. Second of all tell me, how do kids act when they see camera?
The make some monkey acts. That's fact. I didn't hear any anti America

judge totally different people using Your measure. That's how Indians,
Astecs, Inkas died... Different civilisations are always defficult to

What You consider to be normal can be difficult to uderstrand for

religion of peace. But there are some insane individuals, who
interprete Koran in some different, mysterious way. Do You know what
Inquisition was? Christians treat murder as sin. But they used to

Every religion, believe couses devastation. Why? Because there is

Dominik is from Poland! I saw here in Germany also Polish television

world: This has been the action of insane fanatics.

Not quite. I'm negativelly surprised by some polish TV stations. Some

appear! So I watch NBC, CNBC, CNN, EuroNews RTL II and RTL II Austria

The reaction of the vast majority. What happened was an atrocity,

here in the UK showed scenes of Palestinians celebrating.

Judging this is difficult just because of totally different
traditions.

My heartfelt condolences to all those affected directly by these
bombings. I have an uncle that lives in Washington but haven't been
able to contact him. I also have relatives in New York.
I hope your relatives are alright. This is a terrible time for you.

So do I.

When will people learn that this isn't the way?
Never, particularly since the reaction of many Americans on NG's is
to 'nuke whoever is responsible'. Given the amount of countries with
nuclear weapons that would be a big mistake and could possibly lead
 to a global nuclear war.

Yes. American thinking can be dangerous.

Hello!

As an answer for Your letter, I would like to write:

Is there any way I can install two versions of TB on my computer??
Without causing a lot of conflicts??

Yes and no. You may install two versions in different directories, but
they will use the same directory to store files (mails, account configs,
etc). However You can export one branch from Your registry after
installing first version (You can do it now, because You already have
Bat! installed) than install second one in different directory,
selecting different directory to store mail. Than You export the same
branch, but it's going to be different in data. Now, to make Your life
easier (but is it easier with two Bat!s? ;) Create some .bat files, so
starting one You instert Your [first].reg to registry and run Bat, and
another one to instert second registry info and start different Bat
version.

O my! It's even more complicated than I thought. And I don't know is it
clear enough to understand :)))

Re[2]: Complicated languages

2001-08-12 Thread Dominik 'IronHand' Dalek

Hello!

As an answer for Your letter, I would like to write:

If not, are there any plans to support Arabic, Chinese, Japanese...?
So my posting a minute ago to tamuz. BTW, there are no complicated
languages in computing, but single-byte character languages (most of
them) and double-byte character sets (DBCS; also called CJK -
 Chinese-Japanese-Korean).

I know that, but try to implement double-byte character sets (now I know
its name! 8) in msvc without mfc...

TB displays Chinese just fine except that it does not insert automatic
 line breaks in autowrap or auto-format;

Should we consider this to be a bug?

Arabic is not complicated. In fact, the writing is much easier and
more logical than English. What makes you think it is complicated?

Ok, You're right, but it's right-to-left. Is it supported by TB!?

Kanji is not an alphabet. The Chinese use characters (depicting
meaning), not letters (depicting pronunciation), that's why it is not
 an alphabet.

You are right and I know that (I even tried to learn Kanji once). But
it's easier for me to treat Kanji as an alphabet, because I don't know
proper english word for this... hmm... 'Chinese-bugs-on-paper?'.

Kanji is just the Japanese word for Chinese characters, one of the
three sets of characters they use (four sets, if you count Romanji).

So it should be called character set? Ok, good to know.
Anyway - thanks!

Re[3]: Out of Resources Message Error

Hello!

As an answer for Your letter, I would like to write:

I know ICQ uses a lot of GDI resources, so I don't know if Daniel is
running ICQ when using TB!? On my system ICQ eats about 1300 GDI
objects, while TB! and IE only use 400.
I don't think ICQ should be a problem, unless he has very little
memory. I'm running ICQ all the time I'm connected to the Internet,
and no program ever ran out of resources. (And I'm not running just
 ICQ when I'm connected).

Lucky You. They are right. Memory consumption is nothing comparing to
GDI resources consumption. I don't know why, but Delphi apps show this
Error more frequent than others (LCC, VC++). This is one of
disadvantages of applications made using Delphi.

Re[2]: Kylix ; can we now get TheBat! for LINUX ??

2001-06-12 Thread Dominik 'IronHand' Dalek

Hello!

As an answer for Your letter, I would like to write:

does this mean Ritlabs can port TB! to Linux ??
No it doesn't. TB! is written currently using Delphi 2. With version
2.x the code should move to Delphi 5 and then to Delphi 6 for Kylix.
As you can see the way toward it is very very long.

You are wrong. It just need to be moved to Cliks (AFAIR), so they can
move it to D6 straight. The question is: do they, really?
The answer is: no. That means rewiting GUI from scratch (they need it
anyway) and GUI is, I think, about 60-70% of work.

Anyway, TB! works on some WinEmus on Linux.
