No, they are not set to manual. The funny thing is that when I restore the account.srb files (I have several accounts) from version 3.99, the filters all work automatically. The only problems are: 1. Auto filtering of incoming mail
This message has been re-sent because apparently the original did not make it to the list. If it ever does, my apologies for duplicate posting. Can someone please help me with this? I had a number of filters which automatically sort incoming mail to different folders. The filters worked perfectly until some time after v4.0.x. I seem to recall others having some difficulty with filters created using v3.x which do not work correctly in 4. but I don't think this is my problem. How can I restore this functionality? By the way, re-filtering my inbox works although the filtering should occur automatically during message retrieval. Thank you. Hi Chris: Actually, I think there is something wrong with the sounds. In v2.x you could set separate sounds for different accounts. I have not been able to do so from 3.x on. The sound that is triggered for incoming mail on account "A" is the same sound that is heard for incoming mail on account "B." I don't know if is related to your problem, but it sure "sounds" like it is. If memory serves, this has been reported under BT. Removing attachments embedded in message
Hi: I have all my attachments stored within the message bodies. My message base is becoming really large and I would like to retain the text portion of the messages for archival purposes. Is there a way to remove attachments by using The Bat? I would rather not use an additional program such as Mailbag Assistant if I can manage this with The Bat. Thanks in advance. Strip attachments
Hi: I have all attachments encoded with the email (saved within the body of the message). I would like to archive the text portions of my messages in a database, so I need to: 1. Strip all attachments from the messages and 2. export them into individual msg files to be imported to my database. Is there any way The Bat can strip attachments encoded within existing messages? I only have sounds setup for my individual accounts, and not for folders within those accounts. Templates
I've noticed a slight difference in the way my templates are handled in v3.5. All appears well in MicroEd. However, if I use html or Windows editors, inserting any template with a %cursor macro places a garbage character where the cursor is supposed to be and the cursor appears at the end of the inserted template. This forces me to reposition the cursor to the garbage character and delete it. The cursor is then properly placed. In v3.0.1.33 this anomoly was present in the html editor only - the MicroEd and Windows editors worked as expected. Can anyone confirm or should I do something different? Sounds on mial retrieval
I am using v3.5 (but not right now). In 3.0.1.33 I have different sounds set up to indicate the arrival of mail in my accounts. This does not appear to work correctly in 3.5. When mail arrives, all the sounds are the same as the one set in my first account. If I turn off the sounds in my first account, all sounds for arriving mail do not trigger even though they are set up correctly in the other accounts. Again, this works fine in 3.0.1.33. Can someone confirm, or should I do something different? Thank you.
