IMAP tutorials anywhere?
G'day Battists. OK, I've decided that IMAP is something I really need to do, as I'll be travelling a bit, and as a media manager I really need to access my email all the time. My idea is to use my desktop as the mail machine with the mail-server, etc, and the laptop as my travelling machine. Are there any tutorials anywhere on how to go about setting it up, etc? I've googled for a while, but not found anything particularly useful. Anything out there? TIA. G'day Battists. (Again.) I'm wanting to setup a couple of distribution lists where the addresses are hidden. (ie just me sending media releases to a bunch of journos, not a discussion list.) Lynn If when you open a reply or new mail you go to the 'Spell Lynn Checker' menu, you can turn it off by unchecking the 'auto Lynn check' option. Yes :-) Roelof Furthermore some filters (especially the more complex ones) acted a Roelof bit different than what might have been expected. FWIW, I ended up deleting all my old filters and rebuilding everything, as it was easier than stuffing around with the old ones and fixing the problems caused by conversion. I used the opportunity to reorganise my filter structure using the new sub-filters, so I managed to justify it a bit that way... Roelof However on the beta list we see a lot of improvement. (And every now Roelof and then a bit of regression.) And, at times, bizarre behaviour where the filters work when you go to bed, and don't when you get up. Hard to troubleshoot that :-) I've rebuilt filters several times (identically) to get them to work again. -- cheers, Mic (reply address works) Try not to become a man of success but rather try to become a man of value.
