Need macro for settin editor

2006-03-01 Thread WilWilWil
Yo,

I can't remember the macro to set which editor (or format of mail) using in
the template.

I need this macro because with an account I use plain text, and with an other,
I have to use HTML...

Other macro needed : I have to keep the original subject when I reply a mail
but have to add some text : ex : Re : original subject+ additional text.

I use %OSUBJ but how to add text Re before, and additional text after ?

Thanks.

Re: BitDefender

2006-02-15 Thread wilwilwil
Selon Richard H. Stoddard [EMAIL PROTECTED]:

I was just reading PCWorld's review of BitDefender, and am wondering
how well the AV and anti-spam apps work with TB!. Is there a plugin
for the AV? I'm currently using Avast Professional and have generally
been satisfied with it. I'm not prone to switching just based on one
review, but am wondering whether anyone has had experience with either
 BitDefender AV or antispam apps.

I just tested the 10 most awarded AV for my CIE last month.

BitDefender seems to be a very good product. I tested the Internet Security
Version that includes a firewall, an AV, an antispyware and parental control.

Note that the AV module takes a lot of CPU resources if you keep the default
options. The resident AV module has to be tuned...

For work with TB, BitDefender AV module cause troubles in receipt. It seems that
all mails are wall receipt, but your logs grow cause of messages about trouble
with pop protocol. I asked Ritlabs support for help, but no answer except an
answer saying to increase the time out delay. But problems go on...

Bitdefender Softwin has no answer too about thos problem.

In end, note that the antispam module of Internet Security Version of
bitdefender is to aggressive, even if you tune to minimum filter... And the
Bayesian system is static with TB, it doesn't learn with new mails : this
feature works well only with outlook.

After several deep tests of the top 10 of AV, I've chosen G DATA Antivirus Kit
2006 for these reasons :
It is well reviewed and awarded.
It finds all the viruses and spywares introduced in the test computer. Resident
is reactive and scan is efficient. Note that This AV uses ebgine of kaspersky +
engine of bitdefender !!! Dual technology without decrease of CPU and RAM.
It is cheaper than the others.
It does not consume too much resources.
The support helps you if you have questions.
It works well with TB : I didn't find any bug or troubles using TB with
AntivirusKit of G Data.

The only thing that is not good with G data is that you can test the product but
you can't update the definitions with the trial version... (Note that with
definitions out of date, G Data find viruses not detected by others up to
date...)

Others products tested by me are : Bitdefender, Nod32, Panda Titanium, Steganos,
Kaspersky, Grisoft AV Pro, AVAST.

Here is my ranking as a user of TB :
Gdata AntivirusKit 2006
Bitdefender AV Pro (InternetSecurity version is to loud)
Steganos (same as kaspersky but cheaper)
Nod32
AVG (for the plugin, but not for is bad detection (more than 10 viruses and
spywares not detected)
AVAST (not so bat for a free AV : excellent as resident, a little bad for
detected old viruses on the HDD)

Bye,

Same thing for antivirus : virus are detected but not moved to quarantine

An other strange thing : since Bitdefender is installed, after each checking of
new mails, I've got this message below :

!29/01/2006, 11:10:37: FETCH - Connection to host broken (last commands sent

I don't understand what does it mean... Before the 3.6x releases, answer html

Why do they answer not a bug ?

Why do they not neither work on the copy/paste problem... I'm not sure I will

Re: Replying to HTML Mail

2005-09-15 Thread wilwilwil

LJ Has anyone seen this before and is there something about the senders
 LJ email that causes this?

It's a new option in TB and is caused by you replying to HTML mail.
Options - Preferences - Viewer/Editor - Reply to HTML in plain text
You can check or uncheck this option and TB will behave accordingly.
Default is unchecked and that causes the behaviour you described.

This option does not solved the problem. I have already talk about this problem
in the past. I have put a ticket on this problem in ritlabs bugtrack.

It's because I use a template for this list where the cursor must be under

Big problem with copy/paste from word to TB in HTML since version 3.51.10

2005-08-03 Thread WilWilWil
Hello,

I work a lot with word 2003. I always write letters on word with text
underlined, tabs, etc.

Then I copy from Word and paste in TB, and always was perfect in the past. Of
course I lost some type setting (bold, underlined, etc.) but nothing that
disturb the layout.

Since TB 3.51.10, when I paste from word to TB in an HTML message, I lost more
than 80% of the text. It is very strange. I paste and I don't get all the text.
And the text in the clipboard has changed to after the paste. If I try to paste
the text in an ascii editor, after having paste it in TB, it remains less than
20% of the text just like it appends in TB.

So I thought that word was the problem. So I do a new test: I copy from word
and paste directly in the ascii editor... NO Problem occurs. All text and
characters are pasted (without bold, tabs, etc. of course).

So I had a look at TB Web Site. They said that they have improved HTML in the
last version. I think it's regression and not improvement...

I 've done tests with other mail format in TB : the same problem occurs with
HTML/Plain Text mail, and same problem with PlainText (windows) mail. The only
one format to paste in, from word without problem is Plain Text (MicroEd)

:-(

Must I downgrade to 3.10 or is there a solution ?

Thanks,

C call smart quotes.

C These are the English menu options, so in French they are probably
C phrased differently:

C Go to Tools/AutoCorrect Options
C Go to the AutoFormat As You Type Tab
C Uncheck Replace straight quotes with smart quotes
Thanks, you find the problem. Word is replacing my quote !
But if I uncheck this option, it solves the problem of simple curved quote, but
I will lost double quote as « » that will be replaced by . And in french,
it's not correct...

It's a shame that Word doesn't propose 2 check boxes instead of 1 for simple

When I paste the text in the subject, problem occurs... I had to type the '

C So, in French, a ' is not grammatically wrong? That was my original

I think it's not wrong. Just not very beautiful...

I don't understand that Ritlabs says TB is French compatible and doesn't

Very strange problem on character set in header subjet on TB 3.5.25- Réponse à l?annonce

2005-06-11 Thread WilWilWil

Hello,

Since I use TB (2.12, and after, TB 3.01) I had no problem when I paste the
french text below copy from winword in the header subject :

   Réponse à l’annonce

I will have to downgrade my TB to 3.01.33 because in TB 3.5 and 3.5.25, the
quote character ’ is replace by a bad character when I send the message.
Sometimes replaced by a ?, sometime by a strange squares shape ... And
recipient person receive a wrong subject, that is not so good for finding a
job...

This is very strange, because when I have a look on archive mails, more than
1000, all header with this character ’ are well shown when I launch TB 3.01,
and bad shown with 3.5 and 3.5.25 ! Bad shown, and bad sent !!!

When I manually replace by keyboarding the character quote ' in the subject,
it is well shown and sent !

What's wrong in this last version 3.5.25 of TB ?

C This is not the right solution; that would involve proper Unicode

I can't choose straight or curved '.
I just use the AZERTY keyboard and use the ' on the key 4 (without shift key

Hello,

I've found that mails which are not well viewed in TB when they are HTML are
those which are encoded in unicode UTF-8.

I see in preferences that I can add a set.

Someone could help me to find the table UTF-8 (web link or sending me the set
by e-mail off-list), in the format of TB (XLT, XLAT ?) and say me how to import
it in TB ?

Thanks

Characters set BUG in TB3 internal HTML messages Viewer

2005-04-18 Thread WilWilWil
Hello,

I agree with users mean that it’s a good idea that TB uses its own html
routines, and does not use IE6 or Mozilla for viewing HTML messages in TB. More
safety against viruses.

But an important problem occurs: I’m French and I receive messages with
accentuated characters as E with acute, E grave or C cedil or others…
Latin 1 (ISO8859-1) is well implemented in my TB, and I can see correctly these
specials characters when I view message as text in “text” tab.

But impossible to view correctly in “html” tab. Accentuated characters are
replaced by strange characters…

How can I say to TB to switch automatically on the right characters set?

I had the same problem in Firefox, and I have found an option in menu to say
firefox to switch automatically on the right set by checking the option
Universel. Is there a same feature in TB3 ?

Thanks,

Storing sent mails automatically in the correct folder...

2005-02-25 Thread WilWilWil
Hello,

Is there a way to store a new sent mail in the folder you are in...

I explain :

Some template permit you to use a specific template depend of the folder your
are in it. In properties of the folder, you can set filters you want.

And what I want ? Saying TB that if folder A has focus when I create a new
mail, then TB store the sent mail in this same folder instead of default Sent
Mail folder.

It would be perfect. If I send a mail to friend named A from his folder I've
set, I do not need to move the sent mail to his folder. TB do it for me.

I hope I'm clear, not so easy to write in english for a poor french man ! ;-)

Thanks

TB voyager : mobile solution...

2005-02-20 Thread WilWilWil
Curious, Ritlabs speaks about TB Voyager on their site as if it was already
available!

“The programs is now specially adopted to Be working in the USB-flash disk.

Present and not conditional grammar But no link to download and no price!

Note that I use already TB on a key USB.

It is a generally accepted idea to believe that it is necessary to install TB
on each host system you need to use TB on it. It is enough to install it once
on key USB (or a hard disk) to have the good tree structure on key USB. Next,
it is enough to connect key USB on any host PC, without installing anything. It
is just necessary to add some information in Registry of Windows, on the host
PC. In fact, I have just to export the repertory RIT of registry at home,
with the format. reg, and now, to use my TB on another PC, I connect the key
USB, and I double click on. reg before launching TB. One only constraint: the
letter of USB key must be the same one on all the PC of reception. Easy to
parameterize with a right click, and to make only one time, then Windows knows
the good letter for life…

This method is usefully for me because I format often my hard Drive because I
do many tests. Now, I do not reinstall any more my TB each time. It is in the
USB key…

The TOP, I can lose, or forget my USB key on the PC of reception because I ‘ve
encrypted my key with an equivalent of Dekart Private Disk. USB Key needs a
password to read it…

All that for saying that this mobile TB version should not have been expensive
for Ritlabs in terms of development. So… I hope the price will be small, and
perhaps free for TB3 users : -)

The only added value that I could find in their version, for me, it is to store
the parameters in a ini file on the key, and no more in the registry of
Windows. And more, stop to depend on a specific letter of the hist Computer,
thanks to a relative path on the USB Key

Sincerely,

@ +

Strange connect failed !

I manage 5 accounts with TB.

I had no problem before, but since one week, i get a connect failed message

time (F11 Key).

I say it's strange because when I check for new mail (F2 key), account per
account, one account after one account, all the 5 accounts can connect !

It's not cool to move to each account and click five time on button or F2 key,
one for each account to check for my mails !

What's happened ?

Thanks for help !

TB What has MSN got to do with Hotmail, apart from the fact they're both
Microsoft.
I don't know exactly the difference. It's difficult for me to understand. I try
to explain the history :

1- First I needed an instant electronic mail : so I 've chosen MSN Messenger
2- To work with MSN Messenger, I had to create a passport with a Hotmail
account : so I created an address like [EMAIL PROTECTED]
3- Microsoft force you to have a use of the hotmail at least one time per
month. If not, your account (mail and messenger account) is deleted !
4-I didn't want to use this hotmail because I've already personal adresses for
exchange with my friends. I just need messenger
5- So I decided to send and receive automatic mails with TB scheduler to
simulate an activity of my hotmail, and I hope it will be sufficient.

But I can't manage my hotmail address with TB. And not with foxmail anymore !
:-(

And if I want POP and SMTP features with my Microsoft hotmail, it cost 20 EUR
per year ! :-( A little bit expensive for just using Messenger and never use
the mails...
