Account tree font size

2019-05-15 Thread Mike Greenbaum
I am using The Bat! version 6.4.0.2 (32 bit) with Windows 7.

My interface is set up with a full-height account tree on the left.

The font on this is really too big. Is there any way I can change the font size
of the account tree? I've tried the Help search but nothing has com up.

Thanks for any suggestions.

Also, I just noticed how far behind I am with my version. Should I upgrade and
how many problems will I run into if I do?

I would guess you are composing the reply in HTML: in normal plaintext
the font name and size I see are affected by my settings but what the
recipient views is 100% controlled by their own settings.

You can use an address book template for a specific contact. I compose
and read all email in plain text, so the next bit is a guess: maybe an
HTML reply template can control font, size, colour, etc?

size 10. Now I wanted to copy the contents of my subject into the text of the
message, which I did by copying and pasting. However it came in in a smaller
size font, which is fine, however I can't seem to find any way to alter the
text size of this pasted text. In the end I just retyped it! Is there something

My best guess would be that the editor remembers the font, but as the
message format doesn't allow for different fonts, it would not have
been sent that way.
Try it again I'd say, but then save as draft and open the message
again. See have the fonts appear then.
I could try it myself of course, but I don't use the Windows editor.

I think this is a question for TBUDL so I've copied it there.

ME I have a big screen and the html messages display with a tiny font.
ME All other messages display with the fonts I set in the viewer/editor
ME options of the preferences.

The HTML/Windows editor font size will change the size of the fonts for
you in both editor and viewer depending on your Viewer/Editor settings.
However, it will also increase the size of text in sent messages.

If you want to increase the size of your fonts for viewing on a large
monitor you should do this via Windows display properties.

Thanks a bunch! A tremendous help to old eyes. I have put
Courier New in bold also. The contrast is also an improvement
that helps me.

Listers, please tell me if bold is a no-no, like caps, and
I will conform. Otherwise, this really helps me see what I'm

The font setting is local to the Bat's editor. So you can have the
font really large and bolded and it won't look that way when received
by another person's email client.

The program doesn't support creation of HTML or rich-text although you
can supposedly control the way incoming messages with such a format
are displayed.

Font size in message list window

2002-07-28 Thread Joyce Sala

Hello TBUDL listers,

I'm finally enjoying my TB! and it's time for a few final touches...

I've tried in vain to reduce the size of the font in the Message List
window which seems to be a _huge_ 12 or 14 point size.

I went into Options/Message List colors Fonts, changed it to 10
points... no result.

I went into Preferences/System/Folders paneMessage pane... no
result.

What am I missing?

TIA

That's strange, because this's it. This setting is for _message_ list

JS I went into Preferences/System/

These are for

JS Folders pane

folder tree font

JS Message pane

message _HEADER_ pane font (the information shown between message list

So your first thought should be the solution.

Try changing it to something 'extreme' like 'Tahoma Regular 20' and
see if something happens and you've just not noticed the change in
first place.

Options / Message List Colours and Font ... / Font.

One comment here: I had to look around quite a bit, as there are
several places where to change fonts. For the editor you have to use
one menu path, for the folder list another, and for the message list
another altogether. Additional access to all these functionalities
under a single menu item Fonts... (maybe in the Options menu) would
indeed make sense.

Have I understood you correctly? After setting 20 the size shrank to
10? You might be stumbled over a bug that seems fixed in a later
version, I'd suggest you visit
http://www.ritlabs.com/the_bat/download.html
and go for 1.61 and have another try. Font size should be adjusted
_immediately_ after you set it and confirmed all dialog windows.

font size in message list

2002-01-22 Thread Roman Katzer

Hi Batters,
I just reinstalled Win2k, Restored TB from the Backup I had made and started
it. Now the font size in the message list is 8. I can set the font size for
the folder pane and for the message header pane, but not for the message
list. At least it seems that way. What am I overlooking?

must be DEEP within the registry somewhere.

Hello TBUDL,

Is it possible to change the font used when you are typing the To: CC: and

I assume its the same font used in the Message Header in the message view
