I see what you are all saying and yes, it should work but in my case I don't even got a "by" in my code. I use the TW you get from http://mptw.tiddlyspot.com/ Scroll up and you'll see that it is missing. The most strange thing is that nothing happens when I change the code, I can delete it and nothing happens. TagglyTagging is powerful but for users not familiar TiddlyWiki it can provide far too much information that distracts from the application a particular TiddlyWiki might be designed for. However it is a wonderful TiddlyWiki builder's and TiddlyWiki power user's tool. TagglyTagging requires good spacial recognition and some understanding not only of a TiddlyWiki's structure but an understanding of TagglyTagging itself. For those unfamiliar with these things it can become a maze to get lost in. By the way TWT-Treeview is a single file and does not rely on any external files or images for working in Firefox, Chrome and Opera. For those who can put up with the glacial speed of IE then they can put up with external images that are conveniently supplied because IE doesn't recognize embedded images. > Also, saving changes to a tiddler seems to be quite time consuming on > http://twt-treeview.tiddlyspot.com...I guess that is due to > refreshing the mainmenu after every change. So, if you're fine with > having it updated only when refreshed, I recommend to not make any > changes to the main menu section in the page template. Though this > would, of course, result in a more "static" version of "el arbol" ;o) All TiddlyWikis refresh the MainMenu when it's changed and seldom has anyone noticed them as quite time consuming. In TWT-Treeview it is forced to refresh because it can be silently changed by adding items to it through Treeview. Also if auto save is enabled it saves after every edit which can be changed. It is self defeating to try to build a tree structure without seeing immediate results. To have to put work into adding topics or branches to the menu and then save and reload to see them is silly. The results are instantaneous with the PageTemplate the way it was designed. I would strongly disagree that changing it speeds anything up. Thanks for your evaluation it's good to get feedback. [tw] TiddlyWiki & Pogoplug
Hi, I'm new to the group... I've been trying to use tiddlywiki on a pogoplug folder but I'm having no luck. Pogoplug is an app that allows access to your external HD on the web... My goal is to have a shared folder and allow my partners to edit it too. I tried the same trick with monkeyGTD and it works fine, but what I truly want is the original TiddlyWiki... I think the issue is the .jar file, I know older TW versions didn't use it, where can I find it? If anything, I can grant access to anyone that wants to help me, and we can go from there. Thank you a lot. [tw] Re: excessive linebreak when inserting <>

For example, the following does not insert a spurious line break: foo <> bar You could use a custom class wrapper* around the respective macro: {{myCustomClass{<>}}} Then add the following to your StyleSheet: .myCustomClass br { display: none; } -- F. * http://tiddlywiki.org/wiki/TiddlyWiki_Markup#Custom_Styling --~--~-~--~~~---~--~~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "TiddlyWiki" group. So, if you're fine with having it updated only when refreshed, I recommend to not make any changes to the main menu section in the page template. [tw] excessive linebreak when inserting <>
When I use certain <> in tiddlers they seem to be followed by a single (excessive) For example, when I use <> provided by DcTableOfContentsPlugin there is an extra right behind the generated toc. [tw] Problems with importtiddlerplugin and CCTW
Hi there. I'm using CCtiddlywiki, the latest version, and I'm having a problem importing from an older version of CCTW to the new one. - I was able to successfully import with the importtiddlerplugin, but the tiddlers didn't get saved properly. That means when I refresh everything disappears which I tried to import. Is there some function I could use to sync all the newly added tiddlers? I've got 1600+ I'd like to sync.. so something autonomous would be better than having to manually do it. IE6 seems to be a problem with .hta files. The process halts on the "Reloading the new core code" stage, having opened up a blank browser window with an ActiveX dialog confirmation sought. Closing and reloading shows the upgrade as taken place but the store has been wiped. Trying IE6 on a .htm file worked smoothly on one tiddlywiki, but got stuck at the "Saving the new core code" stage on another so no upgrade took place. [tw] Re: Bracketed strings in Custom Fields not stable.
FND, I think it was on the specific case when I imported a load of tiddlers from another TW. I noticed a field entries loosing their brackets and some words going missing while i have been working with them. I'm willing to keep mending them manually. It would take longer than the whole of my project to find the bug by removing plugins and scripts. It might be a good idea for me to 'hard wire' the field value into the tiddlers rather than adding them using editField plugin. Do you think this is a good idea? [tw] Saving forms for other users
