Re: [TMIC] OT - Facebook
I have gotten a few notices about people adding me as a friend on Facebook, but when I try to confirm them, it is not working. According to Facebook that may happen if a different e-mail is used other than what I am registered with. Over there and for a lot in Internet things I use [EMAIL PROTECTED] (mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]) . If you've tried adding me as a friend and haven't received confirmation yet, would you try again using that e-mail? Thanks! BTW there are a few TM groups there. Jude, I don't know why I hadn't thought to share this before. Early in my tm life, some 12½ years ago, someone in the tmic sent me this prayer. When my pain is rough, I use this. Dear Father in heaven I give this pain to you and I thank you for taking it. I hope this helps. Yes, I get this infusion every 3 months, 1G/day for 3 days. It's prednisone. For me, I get a bit sick after the fourth day, but my neuro says that that is not the norm - just me. Diagnosed with TM in 2002, MS in 2008. But I was getting it before the MS diagnosis. Last time I got it was 9/08, due next month. The sick effect goes away completely in a week, then I feel better. Overall, I don't know if it does anything, but it is supposed to reduce inflammation in my spinal cord and nerve myelin, and therefore prevent damage. Re: [TMIC] Osteomyelitis
Jude, dear one, All you need for a prayer pot is a nice little pot or basket with a lid that you can write a name or names on a little piece of paper, fold it up and put it in. I've put my kid's names in there almost every time, other family members that might be going thru hard times or health issues. You have to be careful, tho! I put a friend's name in where he and his wife had been having a hard time getting pregnant and when she was able to, lost the baby. Well, guess what?? They had triplets so I always warn people it's pretty potent so they had better be sure they want their names in the Prayer Pot because it may not come out the way they think!! Seriously, God knows what your prayer is and takes care of it! I've had two and they never seem to ever get filled up...amazing! I've done this for several years and at work I used a pretty pot that had a candle in it. Then when I had to quit, I changed over to a pretty basket with a lid for here at home. When the time comes when they will be emptied, I'm going to bury a little hole, put the names in there and plant a pretty plant over it. j

re: Solu-Medrol I had it for 5 days (I think most of us had it when we had the acute attack of TM). It can cause nightmares, and make you anxious, makes your glucose (blood sugar) rise, so be careful of what you eat. The side effects disappear once you stop it though. [TMIC] Update from Randy
The ENT came by and is sure that this Rhyemes (look up the spell sorry) - caused by herpes zoster - other words shingles. Being that I had tm and the pain associated with TM in O5 it makes sense. He agreed and sees a correlation. Also since there are no lessions then it mkes since. They r starting me on virals immediately-which I have been asking for since day one. And I have saying all this time that I believed it was shingles. I hadn't either, Pam, and I just started it because there were so many people, patients, family and friends that needed prayer. I would drive my 40 miles to work each morning and say my prayers as I drove. While I was at work I would see so many patients that needed a prayer, I was afraid I would forget to add them to my prayer list even tho I would say a prayer for them at the time. I had this pretty little pot sitting empty on my shelf so I wrote their name on a little note and that's how I started it.
