I also will ask her about cattywhompus. Is this a disease that medicine can fix or do I have to go to Frank for the cure for it? I'm not too sure about going to him... Dear Jude, my temperature system is cattywhompus too. my left side ( hand, arm, thorax, leg and foot) go from too cold to too warm. I have increased blood flow in my left hand so much so that my fingernails grow twice as fast as on my right side. My left hand/fingers are so sensitive that I have to have someone to cut my nails every few days. I wish I had an answer... death is not the answer... A double Bourbon or margarita does help. frank

Frank: If you think it will help, put me down for a strawberry margarita. I don't think I could feel any colder than I do now and at least I could enjoy the margarita. Thanks for the info. Unfortunately Lyrica didn't work for me. I had a weird opposite reaction to it and it mad everything way worse. I'm so glad to hear it is working for you! RE: [TMIC] Too Cold
Try an electric underlayer, wich can set on and off in parts. I use only the legs side, wich helps. My wife goes earlier to bed as I am, and I step in a warm bed in this cold days. As soon as I get sleepy, I put it off to avoid burning legs at night. I began to get cold earlier in the evening and have had Dave put mega blankets on me until they are so heavy I can barely lift them. I now have a queen sized silk blanket doubled on top of all of my other covers on my small hospital bed. This kind of cold came with the Transverse Myelitis and I don't believe it will ever go away. At least there is no kind of medication to warm me up that I know of. Does anyone out there have a clue? I know that some of you have also felt this chilling cold. What do you do to combat it? How about a good old Dutch ice cold beer? I'm not much of a drinker so one would put me right under the table!! Jeanne

[TMIC] REFLECTIONS
To my fellow TM'ers.. think of below when they days seem to be hard and and the daily struggles seem harder.. Kim REFLECTIONS (by unknown) You know, time has a way of moving quickly and catching you unaware of the passing years. It seems just yesterday that I was young, just married and embarking on my new life with my mate. And yet in a way, it seems like eons ago, and I wonder where all the years went. I know that I lived them all... and I have glimpses of how it was back then, and of all my hopes and dreams... But, here it is... the winter of my life and it catches me by surprise... How did I get here so fast? Where did the years go and where did my babies go?Where did my youth go? I remember well... seeing older people through the years and thinking that those people were years away from me, and that winter was so far off that I could not fathom it or imagine fully what it would be like... But, here it is... I see the great change... andweare now those older folks that we used to see and never thought we'd be. Each day now, I find that just getting a shower is a real target for the day! And taking a nap is not a treat anymore... it's mandatory! Becauseif I don't on my own free will... I just fall asleep where I sit! And so, now I enter into this new season of my life unprepared for all the aches and pains, and the loss of strength and ability to go and do things. But, at least I know that though the winter has come, and I'm not sure how long it will last... this I know, that when it's over... it's over... There are things I wish I hadn't done... things I should have done... But indeed, there are many things I'm happy to have done... Its all in a lifetime...No real regrets... So, if you're not in your winter yet... let me remind you that it will be here faster than you think. So, whatever you would like to accomplish in your life please do it soon! Life goes by quickly... So, do what you can today because you can never be sure whether this is your winter or not! You have no promise that you will see all the seasons of your life... so live for good today and say all the things that you want your loved ones to remember... 'Life is a gift to you. The way you live it is your gift to those who came after. Make it a fantastic one.' LIVE IT WELL , with Love in your Heart !! ** There comes a point in your life when you realize: who matters ,... (those you love and those that love you .) who never did ,...(those who loved themselves and not you .) who won't anymore...(those who have decieved you and lost thelove foryou .) and who always will...(those who truly show love and love the Lord too .)
