I've reproduced this bug on Eee 901, and Eee 1000H, both have i945gme, and rt2860 wifi. The steps listed in the bug reproduce the freeze 100% of the time. The freeze will also occur when toggling wifi without prior bluetooth toggling as well, but I cannot nail down 100% reproduction in this scenario. No, it really isn't a fault with gnome-system-log, you're totally right that it's doing it's job, unless those log names are depreciated and are no longer valid files for it to parse by default. There is a blank icon in the favorites list, my netbook-launcher settings were migrated from UNR 9.04, and I previously made use of the "bookmark function" (dragging a url in text form onto the "Go Home" applet creates a web-link in the favorites category). I have since removed those icons but the "blank icon" shown in the screenshot remains. [Bug 418956] [NEW] fbreader display blank when switching applications in fullscreen mode in karmic
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: fbreader Description:Ubuntu karmic (development branch) Release:9.10 fbreader: Installed: 0.10.7dfsg-2ubuntu2 Candidate: 0.10.7dfsg-2ubuntu2 Version table: *** 0.10.7dfsg-2ubuntu2 0 500 http://us.archive.ubuntu.com karmic/universe Packages 100 /var/lib/dpkg/status Alt-tab should allow switching between full-screen applications and back without corrupting the display. Enter fullscren mode by hitting ENTER, switch to another running application by using alt-tab, return to fbreader using alt-tab, display is blank. Forcing a rotate action (hotkey R) refreshes and restores the display, so does toggling fullscreen display. [Bug 418952] [NEW] fbreader fullscreen mode does not scroll in karmic
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: fbreader Description:Ubuntu karmic (development branch) Release:9.10 fbreader: Installed: 0.10.7dfsg-2ubuntu2 Candidate: 0.10.7dfsg-2ubuntu2 Version table: *** 0.10.7dfsg-2ubuntu2 0 500 http://us.archive.ubuntu.com karmic/universe Packages 100 /var/lib/dpkg/status fbreader should be functional in fullscreen mode. By opening a title or even from the initial "about fbreader" page, and entering fullscreen by hitting ENTER key, scrolling is performed but the display is not updated to show the results. [Bug 418806] Re: [users-admin] Unlock button greyed out as admin
Thank you, update-manager gui was reporting an update to update-manager- core and would not apply it, leading me to falsely believe that my system was fully up to date. After running apt-get upgrade and resolving packages incorrectly "held back" via the command line, I was able to fully update and I now see the nifty new button with the keys on it, and it works. I guess invalid is the best status, thank you again. -- [users-admin] Unlock button greyed out as admin https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/418806 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 418806] [NEW] [users-admin] Unlock button greyed out as admin
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gnome-system-tools I open the users-admin and the Unlock button is greyed out, I can see by clicking properties my user has the "Administer the system" checked. I did a fresh install of Karmic Alpha 4 onto my root partition importing my exisiting /home structure on a separate hard disc, my user account was re-created using the GUI of the installer. [Bug 402018] Re: [i855] Choppy audio playback
I can confirm this bug is affecting Karmic Koala alpha 4. When I bring up the "media information" while playing in VLC 1.0.1 I notice the audio skips out as the "Lost buffers" is incrementing, audio playback works fine using gstreamer plugin in Rythmbox. I do not have a swap file but I have plenty of free memory: milk...@leslie:~$ free -m total used free sharedbuffers cached Mem: 2005695 1309 0 37396 -/+ buffers/cache:262 1743 Swap:0 0 0 Please let me know if there is any testing I can help with. -- [i855] Choppy audio playback https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/402018 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 352865] Re: [i945gme] enabling visual affects causes graphics glitches for netbook remix (Jaunty Beta)
After running with the Intel Accelerated PPA, and adding the UXA acceleration option to xorg.conf, the tearing issue is resolved however the sluggish performance on the netbook-launcher happens, I have removed the acceleration line since. I'm content to run without video acceleration until 9.10 is released. -- [i945gme] enabling visual affects causes graphics glitches for netbook remix (Jaunty Beta) https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/352865 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
