[Bug 1258422] Re: Maximized windows go under panel if panel attached to screen edge between two monitors
I think I'm having the same problem in Kubuntu 22.04. When I use two screens it's fine, but If it boot the laptop with just its screen, maximized windows go under the panel. The only workaround I found is to change the screen resolution and then restore it. But it needs to be done manually on each boot. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1258422 Title: Maximized windows go under panel if panel attached to screen edge between two monitors To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/kdebase-workspace/+bug/1258422/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

Hello, I'm experiencing the same issue but I do not have a dual monitor setup (although I did have one at a point so it might still be related?). When I log in (sometimes?) the panel which is set as vertical on the left side overlaps maximized windows. I.e. I log in and if I start Firefox which opens up maximized, the left side of Firefox will be under the panel. If I unlock the panel and go to its settings and resize it just a bit it, the windows maximize to the panel's edge as they should. Maybe this helps with debugging. [Bug 1258422] Re: Maximized windows go under panel if panel attached to screen edge between two monitors
Hi there! Thanks for reporting this bug! Your bug seems to be a problem with the KDE program itself, and not with our KDE packages. But don't worry! This issue is being tracked by the KDE developers at: https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=94470. Once fixed in KDE, it will be included in Kubuntu once the KDE version the fix is in in reaches Kubuntu. Actual Results: the window goes under the panel :( ! Expected Results: the window should be smaller, to not go under the panel. The behavior of the bottom panel is correct, and this should be the same for the vertical panel.
