Πιθανώς το πρόβλημα να είναι ότι έχεις λάθος σειρά στα partitions, το sda3 θα έπρεπε να λέγεται sda4, και αντίστροφα. Δοκίμασε τα παρακάτω: 1) Boot με το live cd του Ubuntu 2) Από τερματικό να διορθώσεις τη λάθος σειρά των partitions: sudo fdisk /dev/sda m (το m αντιστοιχεί στο help) x (το x αντιστοιχεί στο extra functionality (experts only)) f (το f αντιστοιχεί στο fix partition order) w (το w αντιστοιχεί στο write table to disk and exit) 3) Reboot, και ξανά boot με το live cd -- Τα επόμενα βήματα είναι απλά για να διορθώσεις τον κενό χώρο -- 4) Σύστημα » Διαχείριση συστήματος » gparted 5) Διαγράφεις το sda4, που όμως μετά το reorder θα λέγεται sda3. Προσοχή στα νέα ονόματα, μην μπλεχτείς. 6) Στον (ενωμένο) κενό χώρο που δημιουργήθηκε, φτιάχνεις ένα νέο partition και το φορμάρεις με ext4. ΜΕΤΑ από αυτά τρέξε τον installer. I'm putting gdm in the Affects list, as I think that it's a regression caused by the new gdm that was introduced with Karmic. Also, when I choose Greek in the gdm screen, I properly get a Greek layout, but that's not the desired behavior, it should by default respect the system settings. Εγώ πάλι θα το φόρμαρα σε 2 partitions, * το πρώτο FAT32 για Windows και διάφορες συσκευές (πολλές συσκευές δεν βλέπουν NTFS), * και θα έκανα και ένα δεύτερο primary το οποίο θα το όριζα ως bootable για να μπουτάρει Ubuntu (και για δουλειά αλλά και σαν recovery), και στο οποίο επίσης θα αποθήκευα τα δεδομένα του Linux. Σε ext2/3/4 δηλαδή. Τα Windows βλέπουν μόνο το πρώτο partition των sticks, οπότε δεν θα μπορούσε π.χ. το FAT32 partition να είναι το δεύτερο, πρέπει αναγκαστικά να είναι το πρώτο. Easy test case: 1) Open evolution and create a new mail 2) Edit Current languages verify that *any, but at least one* dictionary, e.g. English is checked. You don't have to install the Greek dictionary to see the problem. 3) Paste the following two lines: a α Notice that both of them have a wavy underline (=are spelled wrong). 4) Right click on the first word. You may get a spelling suggestion (Aaron if you enabled the English dictionary) *and* you'll get a menu item saying Ignore Misspelled Word. 5) (Here's the bug): Right click on the second word. You won't get the menu item saying Ignore Misspelled Word, and of course you won't get any spelling suggestions. I'm gonna test the patch that Panagiotis sent, and if it works, I'll upload an updated evolution package to my ppa. Yup, Panagiotis fixed the bug. A single line that gave people frustration for more than 5 years! Please get this into Karmic. Let me say again that this affects *many* non-English languages (e.g. German, French, Russian etc), not just Greek and Hebrew as the bug title says. Ενεργοποίη ση apt-urls στο wiki
Apt-urls είναι υπερσύνδεσμοι σε σελίδες στο Internet οι οποίες χρησιμοποιούνται για εύκολη εγκατάσταση προγραμμάτων, μετά βέβαια από συναίνεση του χρήστη. Η μορφή τους συνήθως είναι: [[apt:pidgin,pidgin-plugin-pack|Εγκατάσταση του pidgin]] Περισσότερες πληροφορίες στο man apturl Θα ήταν βολικές για το wiki μας - π.χ. πατήστε εδώ για να εγκαταστήσετε το kturtle αντί για οδηγίες στο πώς να ανοίξουν το synaptic. Για να ενεργοποιηθούν στο wiki, θα πρέπει να γίνει μια αλλαγή στο configuration, δηλαδή να προστεθεί το apt στα url_schemas. Το στυλ είναι σε πολλά σημεία αντιγραφή του βιβλίου προσαρμοσμένη στο KTurtle ώστε ο μαθητής ή ο μη έμπειρος εκπαιδευτικός να μη δυσκολευτεί στην κατανόηση και να χρησιμοποιηθούν σαν πρόχειρο υποκατάστατο. Χρειάζομαι όμως βοήθεια για να προλάβουμε να είναι έτοιμες οι σημειώσεις πριν την αρχή του σχολικού έτους, ειδικά στα εξής: 1. Απο κάποιον έμπειρο στα wiki, πως θα καταφέρω να οργανώσω την ιεραρχία των άρθρων. Προς το παρόν είναι μια κύρια σελίδα (το KTurtleGymnasio) και 4 υποσελίδες (KTurtleGymnasio/υποσελίδα). Υπάρχει κάποιος τρόπος να καταλάβει το wiki πως αυτά αφορούν ένα θέμα ώστε στα TableOfContents να εμφανίζονται και τα θέματα των υποσελίδων; (αν πρέπει να φτιάχνω το TableOfContents με τον δικό μου μπακάλικο τρόπο σε κάθε σελίδα ζήτω που καήκαμε) 2. Θα πρέπει να προστεθεί μια σελίδα με τίτλο Εγκατάσταση μετά την εισαγωγή που να εξηγεί πως θα εγκατασταθεί το KTurtle σε Windows/Ubuntu/Suse/RedHat (ή ακόμα και links προς οδηγούς εγκατάστασης linux) κτλ.. υλικό υπάρχει άφθονο στο net, αν μπορεί κάποιος ειδικότερος να το οργανώσει σε μια σελίδα θα ήταν άψογο (μιας και δεν ξέρω αν θα προλάβω). Πχ οι σημειώσεις του Γρηγόρη Μαρκάκη είναι ένας καλός μπούσουλας για τα Windows.. 3. Φυσικά διορθώσεις στα υπάρχοντα και προσθήκες στα παρακάτω θέματα του βιβλίου (δεν είναι και πολλά). 4. Προσθήκη επιπλέον ασκήσεων από τις δραστηριότητες του βιβλίου που έχω προσθέσει, που να ταιριάζουν φυσικά με την αντίστοιχη ύλη του βιβλίου. Για παράδειγμα οι ασκήσεις του Γιώργου του Καινουργιάκη (http://files.ubuntu-gr.org/education/LTSP_904/Ubuntu904_LTSP_Guide +Educational_Material.zip) είναι μια καλή βάση ώστε να προστεθούν σαν επιπλέον ασκήσεις. Απλά χρειάζεται μια κατηγοριοποίηση και ένταξη στο wiki ώστε να είναι εντελώς συμβατές και οργανωμένες ανάλογα με την ύλη. Μιας και ο χρόνος τελειώνει και θα ήταν καλό να είναι έτοιμες οι σημειώσεις στο επόμενο 10ήμερο, η βοήθειά σας μου είναι απαραίτητη. Και μη διστάσετε για οποιαδήποτε κριτική ή επέμβαση/διόρθωση. Σε 10 λεπτά μπορείς να έχεις φτιάξει ένα USB και να το δεις... Έχει μια επιλογή για το πόσο χώρο να διαθέσει για δικά σου έγγραφα. Αν αυτόν τον χώρο τον αφήσεις αρκετά μεγάλο, τότε θα χωράει να προσθέσεις και αρκετά προγράμματα. Είναι ένα ανάμεικτο, κάτι σαν live usb μαζί με αποθήκευση. Επίσης γίνεται να κάνεις κανονική εγκατάσταση σε USB stick όπως θα έκανες σε σκληρό δίσκο. Θα πρέπει να το φορμάρεις σε ext3 σ' αυτήν την περίπτωση. Γίνεται μάλιστα π.χ. σε ένα USB stick των 8 Gb να το χωρίσεις σε partitions, και να έχεις (πάλι π.χ.) πρώτο 1 Gb FAT32 για να το βλέπουν τα Windows, και δεύτερο 7 Gb ext3 primary ΚΑΙ active (boot) partition για το Linux (η συγκεκριμένη σειρά παίζει ρόλο, τα Windows βλέπουν μόνο το πρώτο partition). Σ' αυτήν όμως την περίπτωση χάνεις το casper, το ειδικό πρόγραμμα που τρέχει πίσω από τα Live CD, και έτσι και παραπάνω χώρο θα χρειάζεσαι (δεν θα είναι συμπιεσμένα τα αρχεία) αλλά και το υλικό θα το θυμάται αντί να το ξαναβρίσκει εξ' αρχής κάθε φορά (δηλαδή αν αλλάξεις 5 PC θα έχεις φτάσει στην eth5 - κατά τα άλλα όμως θα παίζει ΟΚ). Οι δοκιμές δεν κοστίζουν τίποτα. Με LTSP δουλεύω 2 χρόνια τώρα. Δεν νομίζω ότι είναι αυτό που ψάχνεις. Θα χρειαστείς δεύτερο υπολογιστή -έστω και χωρίς σκληρό- και gigabit δίκτυο, και οι επιδόσεις θα είναι χειρότερες από το multiseat. Evgeny, I *did* try with Russian, with the words you posted above: проверка русской арфографии The first two words weren't underlined, the third one was. But *it matters where you click* on the third word. If you click between: ар = no (spell suggestion) рф = yes фо = yes ог = no гр = no ра = no аф = yes фи = yes ии = yes So my guess is you clicked on one of those yes combinations. If you don't see the same behavior, then maybe we have different settings or evolution version? (I did install aspell-ru and my evolution version is 2.24.0-0ubuntu2). You're right about the ASCII range though, e.g. if I write аа (Russian а) = no suggestion рр (Russian р) = no ффф = *yes* I'll check with more letters, to see if I can find any logic. I got something more specific: Cyrillic а = U+0430 = no suggestion Cyrillic р = U+0440 = no suggestion Cyrillic ф = U+0444 = suggestion Look at the least significant bytes. ASCII 30 = character 0 = not a letter ASCII 40 = character @ = not a letter ASCII 44 = character D = it's a letter The same happens with Greek, i.e. the least significant byte is not an ASCII letter. So this explains everything, somewhere in the code a non-utf-8 aware function (or part of code) is used. Evgeny, you're good, you found out that there are two bugs, not one: one concerning forward scanning of the text, and one concerning backward scanning (like when you right click in the middle of a word and the speller needs to find out the beginning and the end of the word). You may get a better view of it by pasting this: ααα Press F7 and try playing with the Skip and Back buttons. In forward checking, it bypasses the 3rd and 4th word. In backwards checking, it bypasses the 4th and 2nd word. So the words you're having problems with, should have non-significant cyrillic letters at their ends. Confirming for Intrepid - evolution 2.24.0-0ubuntu2. I don't think it's an aspell problem, because gedit and the rest apps that use it work without problems. Evgeny, now that your Russian spelling is broken, does it work in gedit? What other gtkhtml apps are there, to test them and see if all gtkhtml apps are affected? Spelling suggestion in Greek works for me under special circumstances, i.e. in fake words like αβγαnd, with English letters stacked right before or after the Greek letters. And *only* when I click on these English letters (nd) do I get a spelling menu. I don't get a spelling menu when I click on the Greek letters (αβγα) of the same word. It seems that *all* languages that contain non-ascii symbols are affected by this. E.g. write Hööörz and click on the middle ö. No spell suggestions.
