[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1744459] Re: xscreensaver does not provide absolute visual protection
That is unfortunate that there is currently no way to do this as I consider this leaking of private information after locking the screen as a security issue. [Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1036398] [NEW] Improvements for argtable2
Public bug reported: I'm using Ubuntu 12.10 dev with libargtable2-dev 12-1. I have some suggestion to improve argtable2: 1. argtable2 allows filling up the variable in the related struct before arg_parse to assign a default value. There could be an argument for this in the arg_***n functions to allow a default value. This would reduce a code line for every command line option which wants to use a default value. 2. The numeric arg_***n functions could have 2 arguments for the minimum and maximum value which is allowed for the related command line options. 3. Maybe arg_intn could be arg_longn to allow a wider range of numbers without creating an own function. It would be usefull too if it would be possible to define for all arg_***n functions if they are a signed or unsigned datatype. ** Affects: argtable2 (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Package changed: nvidia-graphics-drivers (Ubuntu) = argtable2 (Ubuntu) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to nvidia-graphics-drivers in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1036398 Title: Improvements for argtable2 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/argtable2/+bug/1036398/+subscriptions ___ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 908622] [NEW] Start menu entry from nvidia-settings exists without being installed
Public bug reported: I'm using Ubuntu 12.04 dev with nvidia-current 285.05.09-0ubuntu1 and in the start menu under Preferences there is the entry NVIDIA X Server Settings. nvidia-settings is not installed and clicking at the entry does nothing. The entry should be only installed if nvidia-settings is installed too. ** Affects: nvidia-graphics-drivers (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to nvidia-graphics-drivers in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/908622 Title: Start menu entry from nvidia-settings exists without being installed To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/nvidia-graphics-drivers/+bug/908622/+subscriptions ___ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 825189] [NEW] remove Lock in xmodmap is not working
Public bug reported: I'm using Ubuntu 11.10 dev with x11-xserver-utils 7.6+3. If I type in a terminal xmodmap -e 'remove Lock = Caps_Lock' it doesn't work. xmodmap -pke gives me keycode 66 = Caps_Lock NoSymbol Caps_Lock. [Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 822768] [NEW] Wrong dependencies
Public bug reported: I'm using Ubuntu 11.10 dev with nvidia-current 280.13-0ubuntu1. Currently there are 2 bad depency-entries and the first one can cause the building process to fail: |Depends: linux-headers-generic Depends: linux-headers linux-headers-3.0.0-7 linux-headers-3.0.0-7-generic linux-headers-3.0.0-7-server linux-headers-3.0.0-7-virtual Dependend on the kernel the version in the dependencies can differ. Without linux-headers-generic nvidia-current can't be build because linux-headers-3.0.0-7 can be installed without linux- headers-3.0.0-7-generic and linux-headers-generic. [Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 782893] [NEW] libvdpau1 is not working
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: libvdpau1 I'm using Ubuntu 11.10 dev (64 bit) with nvidia-current 270.41.06-0ubuntu1, libvdpau1 0.4.1-2ubuntu1 and flashplugin-nonfree 10.2.159.1ubuntu1. The file /etc/adobe/mms.cfg exists and EnableLinuxHWVideoDecode is set to 1. I have tried from http://www.adobe.com/devnet/flashplayer/stagevideo.html some videos but they are rendered in software video rendering mode. I have installed the official drivers from NVIDIA and they are working without a problem. The videos show me accelerated video rendering. I have made some tests a few hours and figured out that the official NVIDIA driver needs at least the file /usr/lib32/vdpau/libvdpau_nvidia.so.270.41.06. The nvidia-current package has this file too at /usr/lib32/nvidia- current/vdpau/libvdpau_nvidia.so.270.41.06.
