But one old thing came up. After scan of the music folder a Synology system folder with the name "@eaDir" came up. As i remember this was an old issue from the first versions of LMS on Synology. Thanks for the heads up! Those were Synology specific rules, only applied on Synology. But Docker is OS agnostic. I added those rules to the exclusion list on Docker. Math errors have been fixed. Numbers were too big for shell math. It was only cosmetic errors, images were still created properly. Note the size printed on the image name is the size needed for restore. The gzipped image will be less than that size. Also fixed was when the boot disk is a USB stick. I added a progress bar. this is indeed SPI device so -o7 is what you'd want and its fully supported by the OLED library you can override the SPI pins via the command line or wire with the SPI0 pi gpio mapping, see here: https://pinout.xyz/pinout/spi alternatively you can switch to the i2c interface Code: 1 VCC Power positive (3.3~5V power input) [GPIO 3.3V] 2 GND Ground [GPIO GND] 4 DIN Data input [GPIO 2 (I2C Data)] 5 CLK Clock signal input [GPIO 3 (I2C Clock)] https://pinout.xyz/pinout/i2c See the documentation for the device for any specifics around switch interfaces SPI is a faster interface to I2C so animation/meters may be smoother but theres nothing specific in the monitor that takes advantage of either interface As of *02-Feb-2021* my digitized collection is (25108 hours 33 minutes) + (9 seconds) or 2.864[/B] YEARS IN DURATION RANDOM CONTINUOUS PLAY WOULD REALLY ANNOY THE NEIGHBORS... If there were drivers..I've created a couple of scripts to facilitate building drivers. Maintaining realtek driver source has proved to be too much time. Moving past pCP7, I will not be including kernel drivers for wifi chips that are not in-tree. However I will keep a repo with scripts that allow you to build drivers. It's not a full dkms system, as we just don't have the needed hooks to do that. -But- you should be able to build your driver and extension before upgrading kernels. https://github.com/piCorePlayer/pCP-Kernels You will see in this repo, there are a couple of scripts and notes, as well as the kernel configs and Symbols needed to build out-of-tree drivers. piCorePlayer a small player for the Raspberry Pi in RAM. Save, exit, and that's all that's needed? Yes, that's all that would be needed to get the up-to-date script. But you'd probably need to do some manual tidying up from the earlier script before using the new script, because the rules file is now named after the card name of the DAC - in your case I believe that's 'DAC51892395', so your new rules file will be 10-DAC51892395.rules. To avoid clashes with your old rules file you'll need to delete the old rules file (/etc/udev/rules.d/10-DAC.rules) first: Code: cd /etc/udev/rules.d sudo rm 10-DAC.rules and remove it from /opt/.filetool.lst (use vi to edit /opt/.filetool.lst manually) You'd then need to run the new script with the 'install' option (this creates the new rules file and adds it to /opt/.filetool.lst): Code: sudo ./SQLITE-control.sh install And don't forget - since you wish to disable the 'stop' part of the script, you would either need to delete the second line of the rules file, or, as you did before, place the '#' character at the start of the relevant line in the 'stop' section of SQLITE-control.sh: Code: # sudo /usr/local/etc/init.d/squeezelite stop >> $logfile rgro wrote: > 2. I would like to use Ethernet but my internet box is downstairs and my audio setup is upstairs. But it works well with wifi (may be because I have the fiber). Re: [SlimDevices: Unix] Start/restart squeezelite when plug-in USB dac
Hi Chill... A few questions: 1. So, in order to incorporate all of the to-date script changes, do I just sudo nano the SQLITE-control.sh file and replace it with the script in post #137?? Save, exit, and that's all that's needed? 2. Not that I want to, but if I have need to delete all this nice start/restart functionality, how would I actually initiate/execute the "uninstall" process? 3. If I replace the original script with the revised script in post #137, can I then remove that command in User Commands section of Tweaks?? Cheers. chill wrote: > I've added an 'uninstall' option to the script in 'post #137' > (https://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?113661-Start-restart-squeezelite-when-plug-in-USB-dac=1009335=1#post1009335), > and I corrected a problem with trying to write to pcp_.log > before the cardname was known. > > Code: > > tc@pCPTest:~$ sudo ./SQLITE-control.sh uninstall > 1) Squeezelite output device found in /usr/local/etc/pcp/pcp.cfg = DragonFly > 2) udev rules file /etc/udev/rules.d/10-DragonFly.rules removed > 3) etc/udev/rules.d/10-DragonFly.rules removed from /opt/.filetool.lst > 4) SQLITE-control.sh removed from /opt/bootlocal.sh > > Uninstallation complete > Squeezelite will no longer autostart/stop with DragonFly power > Backup and reboot ('pcp br') to make this permanent > > > > Rg System information Main: RPI4B/PiCorePlayer/LMS> RPI4B/piCoreplayer/Squeezelite > USB>RME ADI-2 DAC > Benchmark AHB2 > Revel Performa F208 speakers, 2X REL R-305 subs. As an alternative, if you really want to link it directly to the play state, you could use the 'shell script provided here.' (https://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?110277-Feature-request-picoreplayer-Play-state-to-GPIO/page3) I also use that in a player with an LED button to indicate the play state. I could imagine though that if you link this directly to a relais switching the amp the -G option is probably better, because play state changes more often. If there's a small hickup in your internet connection while streaming a radio, for example, it would already switch the amp off and on again (I think many amplifiers will produce an audible plop when switched on). jeroen2's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=70418 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=113919 ___ unix mailing list unix@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/unix
