Ok I think I have it somewhat working. However I cannot for the life of
me get it to reject multiple bookings. Is this the designed behavior? I
have created a demo resource in ldap and have my GNUstepDefaults setup
correctly (I think) so I created a test event and "invited" the resource
to that meeting. It appears to have auto accepted it as it shows busy to
the other users now when they try to invite it. However there is no
error message when they reinvite it after I have already invited it.

here is my ldif file I used to add it:

dn: uid=dellinspiron1150,ou=People,dc=example,dc=com
objectClass: inetOrgPerson
objectClass: organizationalPerson
objectClass: person
objectClass: top
objectClass: CalendarResource
objectClass: calEntry
cn: Dell Inspiron 1150
sn: Inspiron 1150
displayName: Dell Inspiron 1150
givenName: Dell
Kind: thing
mail: dellinspiron1...@example.com
Multiplebookings: 1
uid: dellinspiron1150

The Multiplebookings: 1 is supposed to only allow ONE invitation correct?

Also in my .GNUstepDefaults I have these settings:

KindFieldName
Kind
MultiplebookingsFieldName
Multiplebookings

This should be correct right?

[SOGo] Multiplebookings for Resources

2011-08-09 Thread Donny Brooks
Ok, I apologize for all the traffic today but I think I have it working
mostly now. The reason for all the drama is my supervisor is trying all
she can to get us to go with an exchange system and I will do everything
I can to keep that from happening. So here is my question:

We are using thunderbird with lightning and the sogo
integrator/connector. When I create an entry and invite a resource to
that meeting it works fine. Then when I go to another pc/user and try to
"double book" the resource the only warning I get is the dark blue "busy
bar" in the time slot. However when I do the same as the same user in
the web interface I get that and a warning popup. Is there anything in
the roadmap that would allow this to happen in thunderbird/lightning?

We can't use the web interface currently due to it being too "different"
from seamonkey/thunderbird email client in terms of email composition.
Mostly in the way it does either HTML or plain text and not both. So
"just use the web interface" is not an acceptable answer for the high'er
ups.

Thanks for all that guided me in the right direction on getting this far.

Yes that is the same info that was on the list back in May. Good
to have

it in one place. However I still need the objectclass for OpenLDAP. I
have never written one and having a ready to install one would
greatly

speed up the process.

I actually JUST saw that as I got your reply. Sorry about that. Let

Ok, I added the schema file to our OpenLDAP server and tried
restarting ldap. However I got the following error:

/etc/openldap/schema/calresource.schema: line 159 objectclass:
ObjectClass not found: "calEntry"

The offending lines 150-159 are below:

objectclass ( 1.3.6.1.1.5.1.1 NAME 'CalendarResource'
DESC 'Calendar Resource Object Class'
SUP calEntry
AUXILIARY
MUST (cn)
MAY ( kind $ nickname $ description $ ou $ categories $
 member $ uniquemember $ accessibilityurl $ capacity $
 owner $ resourcemanager $ timezoneid $
 multiplebookings $ maxinstances $
 bookingwindowstart $ bookingwindowend $ vcarduid ) )

Anyone else had a similar error?
I do apologize for that. I was missing that schema also. I will try
adding the steps needed to the wiki soon.
One last question to make sure I have this configured correctly. I
should define the following:

defaults -u sogo write sogod KindFieldName thing

defaults -u sogo write sogod MultiplebookingsFieldName Multiplebookings

If this is an example ldif I would use to input the resources:

dn: uid=meetingroom,ou=Users,dc=example,dc=com
objectClass: inetOrgPerson
objectClass: organizationalPerson
objectClass: person
objectClass: top
objectClass: CalendarResource
objectClass: calEntry
cn: Big Meetingroom
sn: Meetingroom
displayName: Example Big Meetingroom
givenName: Big
Kind: thing
mail: meetingr...@example.com
Multiplebookings: 0
uid: meetingroom

And I do not need to give it a uidNumber or gidNumber correct? Thanks
for the input.

Does anyone know of any documentation on setting up the resources

There was quite a bit of useful info on this mailing list as to setting
up and configuration when the resources were first added in May I
believe from inverse themselves. Hopefully that will help you ;-)
