Re: [SOGo] Webclient, Loginpage in English instead of configured German

2013-01-04 Thread Bruno Lingner (Hugo)

hi Martin

I had the same problem, and noticed that the login page chooses the
language according to the browser language preferences, under
preferences/content/languages. if you have english before german, the
dropdown box on the login page defaults on english.

hope this helps

Hi,

today I updated our SOGo-Server from 1.3.17 to 2.0.3a. Runs pretty easy,
but: before the web login page were in german, now its in english (ie.
label of the checkbox was "Benutzername merken" before, now its
"Remember username").
As "SOGoLanguage" is "German" configured (as before) ... is there
another switch for selecting the language? Or does this now depend on
the servers locale (configured en-us) and not on the sogo configuration?
OS is Ubuntu 12.04.

Thank you for every hint,

   Martin

Re: [SOGo] Thunderbird 17 ESR is here

2012-11-21 Thread Bruno Lingner (Hugo)

hi list

I also upgraded thunderbird to 17esr+lightning 1.9 and kept the old
10.0.3 sogo extensions to test it. on linux everything seems to be ok so
far.
on OSX on the other hand, it's pretty buggy (elements on the left panel
show/disappear randomly) and I also had a really nasty surprise: the
icon named "Remove the selected calendar" actually DELETES/REMOVES the
user calendar from sogo, instead of just unsubscribing from it, if you
have the necessary rights.
I was stupid enough to test it with an administrator account :/ so
partially it was my bad.

I do not know if it is a thunderbird, lightning or sogo-extension error.
I will try the new github extensions and report further findings.

regards
hugo.-

Feel free to test the extensions available from our github repository:

We'll release them together with v2.0.3.

Re: [SOGo] funny dates in event

2012-11-14 Thread Bruno Lingner (Hugo)
we narrowed it down to an error to detect the right timezone from the
config. we have there this setting:

SOGoTimeZone = "Europe/Berlin";
like the documentation says, but it somehow confuses sogo and then the
funny dates are written in the events.

I have commented it out for now. I will rise another bug

hi Wolfgang

I tried that, but I still see the "Untitled (0)" instead of the message
body. also I see 2 other webGUI fields rendered incorrectly
(screenshots). in the calendar view I see the tasks field covered by the
"date" and "calendars" tabs and in the address book view I don't see any
address books.
this all happened after an update from 1.3.18 to 2.0.0 and still the
same after update to 2.0.1

tried it out in firefox, chrome and opera.
any hints?

[SOGo] iCal and u...@domain.com

2012-10-02 Thread Bruno Lingner (Hugo)

hi list

I fond a strage misbehaviour with iCal on sogo. iCal sometimes creates
meetings where the ORGANIZER is like u...@domain.com instead of
firstname.lastn...@domain.com which is the correct email address in our
company. this is ok for most of the meetings, but it makes accepting the
meetings impossible for a meeting that's been created by another user
with read/write rights on the calendar in question (iCal then thinks
that the meeting doesn't belong to the calendar owner).

anyone has seen this behaviour?
I've seen it happen in ical 4 (OSX 10.6.x) and 6 (OSX 10.8.x).
would a sogo bug report help?

Re: [SOGo] Resource Creation with MySQL database

you don't have to log in as 'room1' (if that user doesn't have a
password for example). just log in as an administrator and under the
administration tab, search for 'room1' and open (click on the + sign)
the calendar for that user.

Nothing, you have to log in with this user "room1" once via SOGo

In this calendar your invitation will be placed from there on.

[SOGo] webgui calendar auto-refresh

2012-08-24 Thread Bruno Lingner (Hugo)

I would like to suggest an auto-refresh of the calendar in the webgui.
some of our users like the webgui more than iCal for example, and they
miss meetings because they forget to refresh the view often enough.
I didn't find such an option, if there is one, please point it out to me :)

Re: [SOGo] Question SOGo/Thunderbird

2012-07-28 Thread Bruno Lingner (Hugo)

In our case, I unpack the sogo integrator and edit the file
defaults/preferences/site.js
and set the last line like this:
pref("sogo-integrator.autocomplete.server.urlid", "ldap");
that's because in the sogo config file .GNUstepDefaults we have
the ldap address book configured like this:

{
CNFieldName = cn;
IDFieldName = uid;
UIDFieldName = uid;
MultipleBookingsFieldName = multiplebookings;
KindFieldName = kind;
SearchFieldNames = ("sn", "cn", "uid", "mail" );
baseDN = "dc=sogo,dc=de";
filter = "(objectClass='calEntry' AND mail='*')";
id = ldap;
displayName = "Kochan";
hostname = localhost;
type = ldap;
port = 389;
scope = SUB;
isAddressBook = YES;
canAuthenticate = YES;
},

and of course I set the isi:updateURL to our server.
after then I repack the extension and distribute it.
then lightning automatically sets the address book to "Kochan" in the
file/preferences/composition/addressing menue.

hope this helps.

My configuration is :

- A SOGo server (lastest day release)
- An AD server (W2k8)

When using WebInterface, everything's OK (ouch!) : mails, calendar,
contacts..

When I configure Thunderbird with an email account, everything's OK.
(mails only, obviously)

Then I install SOGo Integrator (customized), Connector and Mozilla
Lightning.

Never I set the SOGo adress server... How Thunderbird is supposed to
know this adress to catch contacts and calendar? If I understood
(again..) Integrator customization is only to allow automatic updates...?
My Thunderbird mail account IMAP/SMTP adresses pointing to my mails

[SOGo] timeshift/timezones and reccuring events in iCal

2012-04-11 Thread Bruno Lingner (Hugo)

hi

we experimented a lot since the daylight saving time with sogo and
calendar clients that display the events in the wrong timezone. we
finally narrowed down the problem and solved it through a rewrite rule
in the apache config:

RequestHeader unset Accept-Encoding

AddOutputFilterByType SUBSTITUTE text/calendar text/xml
Substitute
's|^RRULE:([A-Z].+[A-Za-z0-9]);?FREQ=([A-Za-z]*);?(.*)$|RRULE:FREQ=$2;$1$3|'

the problem was that iCal expects the reccuring events, standard and
daylight definitions to start with the attribute FREQ, like this:

RRULE:FREQ=YEARLY;BYMONTH=10;BYDAY=-1SU

as in RFC2445 for iCalendar Core Object Spec, it is not absolutely
specified that the FREQ attribute must be the first one, but it can be
inferred I think.

http://www.ietf.org/rfc/rfc2445.txt on page 40:

   Formal Definition: The value type is defined by the following
   notation:

 recur  = "FREQ"=freq *(

; either UNTIL or COUNT may appear in a 'recur',
; but UNTIL and COUNT MUST NOT occur in the same 'recur'

( ";" "UNTIL" "=" enddate ) /
( ";" "COUNT" "=" 1*DIGIT ) /

; the rest of these keywords are optional,
; but MUST NOT occur more than once

( ";" "INTERVAL" "=" 1*DIGIT )  /
( ";" "BYSECOND" "=" byseclist )/
( ";" "BYMINUTE" "=" byminlist )/
( ";" "BYHOUR" "=" byhrlist )   /
( ";" "BYDAY" "=" bywdaylist )  /
( ";" "BYMONTHDAY" "=" bymodaylist )/
( ";" "BYYEARDAY" "=" byyrdaylist ) /
( ";" "BYWEEKNO" "=" bywknolist )   /
( ";" "BYMONTH" "=" bymolist )  /
( ";" "BYSETPOS" "=" bysplist ) /
( ";" "WKST" "=" weekday )  /
( ";" x-name "=" text )
)

so my suggestion to the developers would be to set the RRULE attributes
in the right order in the sogo core. iCal would then work correctly
without the need of a hack, and so would the other clients.
of course, we could also send a suggestion to apple to fix their code,
but to what end :D

Re: [SOGo] Calendar Entries Times 1 hour difference after summer daytime change

2012-03-31 Thread Bruno Lingner (Hugo)

hi Martin

I think we narrowed it down to this one rule (thanks to Thomas Paduch ;):
RequestHeader unset Accept-Encoding

AddOutputFilterByType SUBSTITUTE text/calendar text/xml
Substitute
's|RRULE:([^;]*;?[^;]*);?FREQ=([^;]*);?(.*)$|RRULE:FREQ=$2;$1$3|'

this one puts the "FREQ=" attribute first, as iCal seems to expect it there.
we are still running tests, but it looks good. we have to test all the
recurring events too as well as the daylight and standard times.

is there anyone with a solution here? should I file a bug for this?
I even tried to massage the ldap suffix, so that
ou=personen,ou=intern.. appears as
ou=personen,ou=sogo,ou=intern..
and then set the base DN to
ou=sogo,ou=intern.. with subbranches users,groups,ressources and
locations, but it didn't take. searching with type SUB does not work
for some reason, only a direct search of the branch.
this is a bit of a pain, cos it would mean a hack in /etc/ldap.ini
for example, or some other way to circumvent it, avoiding moving ldap
branches around..

hi list

I see some strange behaviour with the groups in sogo.
first search is using the configured filter in the .GNUstepDefaults.
then it searches again, to try to decompose it to its list of members,
but this time it doesn't use the configured filter :(
I have to set the search path to a higher level
(ou=intern,dc=example,dc=com), because the user accounts are here:
ou=personen,ou=intern,dc=example,dc=com
and the sogo groups/ressources/locations are defined here:
ou=sogo,ou=intern,dc=example,dc=com
but because we have other groups defined as e.g:
ou=sendmail,ou=intern,dc=example,dc=com
which is neither one of the objectClasses that sogo sees as groups.
the last search for looking up group members, is something like:
SRCH base="ou=intern,dc=example,dc=com" scope=2 deref=0
filter="(mail=supp...@example.com)"
and so it finds 2 results, one from ou=sendmail.. and one from ou=sogo..
therefore it doesn't decompose the groups properly.
is it possible to change the code so it searches both times
using the right filter I configured, or perhaps to search for
the full DN of the group (result of the first search) the second time?

hi list

is there a method to import existing sieve scripts from roundcubemail

is there perhaps another method to do this for 50+ accounts
automatically or perhaps scripted?

we have a cyrus-imapd-2.3.16 mail server and roundcube 0.3.1

dn: cn=support_sogo,ou=groups,ou=sogo,ou=intern,dc=site,dc=com
objectClass: groupOfNames
objectClass:
member: uid=bar,ou=persons,ou=intern,dc=site,dc=com
member: uid=foo,ou=persons,ou=intern,dc=site,dc=com
mail: supp...@site.com
cn: support_sogo

I use the extensibleObject class for now, cos the schema does not allow
mail as an attribute for groups.

I've also tried with groupOfNames and groupOfUniqueNames, no joy.

can somebody shed some light on this?

thanks and greetings
hugo.-
