RE: passwords

[CJ & AA MAY]

Wrongly or rightly I use the same e-mail address and password for all my apps, 
but a few months ago Amazon wanted me to change my password. If I open Amazon 
on my iPhone, it remembers me and goes straight to my account, but yesterday I 
attempted to follow a link in an e-mail from Audible which then wanted to take 
me to Amazon who then wanted my e-mail address and password. When I entered 
these, I then got a message I've seen before (whose wording I can't quite 
remember) but asking me if I want to save these details to the iphone.
My fear is that if I say yes, it then will change my default details, so my 
question is, and I'm sorry if this message is confusing, but if I say yes to 
this message, will it just add my new Amazon details or will it make them my 
default details?

Contacting Duolingo

Has anyone who is using this program ever needed to contact someone with a 
question of any kind? I really need to speak with a human being, but can’t seem 
to find a way to do that, either through the website or the app.

Spelling the street name shouldn't be an issue.

transit entrances that Google Maps does not recognize.  Also, Apple Maps can

Yes,
Touch the top of the phone in the status bar and if you don’t land on it, flick 
left.
It is always in the upper left corner of the status bar.
The status bar is usually from left to right:
Cellular, Wi-Fi, Clock, then depending on your settings, you may find, 
Orientation Locked, Location Tracking on, And possibly info about any Bluetooth 
devices connected, then in the top right will be the battery percentage.

Follow up on issue with braille displays and the "Message body text field is editing" with iPhone/iPad/iPod Touch

Hello all,
Anyone experiencing this issue, can you check two things.

  1.  Check the setting under VoiceOver Verbosity concerning container 
description.  Note what it is.  I find even with it set to Do Nothing, the 
problem persists.
  2.   Turn off speech with space+m or a three finger double tap before writing 
in the message body.


Can you write without issues with speech off?

If so, then I think that is the problem, since the braille display shows 
everything VoiceOver says, that is creating the problem.

I have to say that I have never been successful in reaching anyone. I just 
waited a bit and eventually there was an update and the problem went away. They 
ask people to visit their online forums for answers.

This is what my friend says: 
I have contacted Duo Lingo a few times by email and they respond quite promptly.
If you go to your profile, click on settings and scroll down to “give 
feedback”, click on that and it will open an email.  Fill in your query and 
send it off.  I usually hear back within 24 hours.  Perhaps you could ask them 
to call you.

Best APP for copying Bible texts to other files

This may sound like a strange question coming from a pastor. But I'm looking 
for a Bible APP that will allow me to look up passages and copy them to other 
APPS like VoiceDream Writer or Notes. Any suggestions will be greatly

phone and tried navigating in the app, I don’t find the accessibility as good

Speaking Rate in VoiceOver

In recent days, when I try to slow down the rate of speech in VO, it will not 
change. The speaking Rate option  on the rotor is most definitely selected and, 
until recently, wAs working correctly.   I am thinking that some weird setting 
somewhere needs to be modified but cannot imagine what it would be. I Am using 
an iPhone 8 with the latest version of iOs.

converting a Kindle Mobi book to html

I was given a digital book that is in
Kindle Mobi format.  I tried looking at it via the windows
Kindle app but it is only minimally accessible.

  
How do I convert it to html so I can use
it on a refreshible braille display or on my laptop?

  
I do have rights to it so I am not
concerned about legal issues. :)

Okay, I have the Bank of America app, I think. How do I make sure I have the 
right one? There was mention that 2 or 3 different ones exist. 
I thought I set it up some time ago but I’m not sure.  I don’t remember what to 
put in to log in to my accounts. How can I learn how to really take advantage 
of this app. I would like to have an alternative to calling on the phone to 
track certain things or do certain business. It’s doable but can get tedious.

The trial is only good for 24 hours.

Plug your phone into your computer.

Open Waltr

Tab to where it says something like WALTR 2 settings and hit spacebar.

Now tab to where you should hear either about Tab, or General Tab, then use 
your right arrow to get to Wi-Fi and hit enter, then the next tab should be 
your phone.

Tab again to a checkbox to allow Wireless transfer.

 

Then, hit OK.

Then hit space on your Phone.

Tab to browse and hit enter and then you will shift tab and from here you 
have to know how to navigate your computer to get to where your files are.

 

Once you get your files selected and hit Open, you should find a button to 
convert and transfer to your phone.

I do not know how to convert it, but might either of the following suggestions  
help? If you have jaws, I   think the kindle for pc app is  now accessible, or 
it use to be. Also, the kindle app on Apple devices definitely is accessible

Check out Codex app, you may have to install an older version of the Kindle for

First, if you cannot log in, you probably will need to call Bank of America and 
get your log in credentials reset.

If it doesn’t say for business, it is likely the right one.
It will say something about the mobile banking app.
Here is the link to make sure:

Once you are logged in and start poking around, come back with questions where 
you cannot figure it out on your own.
It is pretty clear, but some things may need explanation but we won’t know what 
those are until you are in your own account and know what questions to ask.

We both have the correct app on our phones; I downloaded it on mine yesterday. 
I also had to set it up so that is why I encountered some unlabeled buttons 
when doing this process.

I went into the menu tab and then into alerts. This is where I had previously 
just looked around in there but didn’t actually do anything and couldn’t get 
back to a previous screen or sign out.

This time I set up alerts and then was able to go back to the previous screen a 
few times and sign out.

So, all is well now and I thank you so much for your help and interest in 
assisting with this.

I’m anxious to actually conduct some business through the app now.

Have you ever been able to independently deposit a check using the app?

I went to the App Store. The app you want is Bank of America, Mobile Banking. 
There is another Bank of America app related to finance and another called B of 
A also related to finance. Is it possible that the wrong app was downloaded? 
The problems you describe are so different from the Mobile App. Anyway, just be 
certain to download the correct app.

Perhaps it’s the iPhone 8 that is the problem.

Actually it was my husband’s phone that we were trying to do this on so I’ll 
see if he wants to work on it again!

I don’t remember which tab we went into but we were looking at alerts to see 
about modifying those and that is where we couldn’t find a back button nor a 
button to sign out and the tabs on the bottom were not the same as on the home 
screen.

Maybe I’ll put the app on my phone which is also an iPhone 8 and work with it 
some more.

I have been using this app for many years and find it quite accessible.
Currently, I am running it with my iPhone 12 Mini and IOS 14.5. I do not find a 
back button on the screen, but really do not need it. Let me provide a few

It depends n the phone.
If you have a home button, you press and hold both the home button and the 
power/side button at the same time.
Then, there should be a button on the screen to double tap on to open the 
screen shot where you can share it in all the usual ways.

On the phones with no home buttons, it might be holding the side switch and up 
volume but that could also end up calling 911.  So, if it is a no home button 
phone, someone else may know or call Apple.

The far easiest way, is to double tap on the number so it calls her.
You can hang up or let it go through and then hang up.
But from the phone app, Recent calls screen, touch her number and flick up to 
More Info and double tap and flick right until you find add to contacts, and 
you will have the choice of creating a new one or adding to an existing contact.

Apple requires multiple steps in iOS 14 to turn a text message into a
contact to prevent cluttering contacts.  First double tap the message.
Then double tap the phone number from where the message was sent.  In
the next window, double tap info.  A new pop up menu appears and
double tap the selection named info again where you can save the text
message information in your contacts.

I am on the latest between and turned the container description to do nothing. 
I also turned the speech off with m plus spacebar. I did see the body is 
editing message. It appeared only once while doing this email. Once it went 
away, it has not returned. The focus also still jumps. Nothing has changed.
