RE: Bluetooth Ear Piece Recommendations

2020-12-18 Thread Cristobal Muñoz
I use the Voyager 5200 for WFH business calls. In fact, I often use both my
Aftershokz Air and Voyager head sets at the same time. While the Voyager can
connect to two devices, switching between both isn't instantaneous.
Also, at least for me, I can use either headset while masking up without issue.

A quick check on amazon shows it for $109.
It's always best to shop around of course.

Is there a blue tooth earpiece that can pair with more than one device,
switching between devices when one speaks? If my watch and phone are both
paired to the earpiece, can I hear the GPS on the phone when it speaks, and
the messages on my watch when they interrupt the GPS?

Thx

Actually, I have used my Aftershokz Treks Airs with a mask without difficulty,
but if you are looking for a tiny ear bud, check out the Racon E25.
They are very tiny and fit snugly in your ear.
They normally sell for $79, but they are running holiday specials.

Re: First time trying bluetooth ear piece with Apple Watch

2016-03-06 Thread Alan Paganelli
I like how if I'm running an NLS talking book through my iPhone and if I double
tap my iWatch to get the time or to look at the outside temperature the talking
book is paused. Granted, it may only be for a second or 2 but it's a nice
feature. I just wonder what new things we'll get with the next upgrade of the
watch software.

Re: First time trying bluetooth ear piece with Apple Watch

2016-03-06 Thread Alan Paganelli
I have both my Plantronics Legend and my iWatch paired to my iPhone 5s. I
never thought of parting my iWatch and running my iPhone and iWatch through my
Plantronics Legend. My wife mentioned that one of the doctors at work has both
an iPhone and an iWatch and runs both through the ear peace for privacy so I
figured I'd give it a shot myself. The big advantage is I can hear my iPhone
or my iWatch with out bothering other people around me.

Hi,

I can't offer any guidance, but I can tell you that with my Plantronics Voyager
Legend I often have it successfully ppaired with both my iPhone 6 running iOS
9.2.1 and my AppleWatch running the current WatchOS, and tapping my Watch will
give me the time while pausing or overriding what is being read or streamed

Apple Watch - bluetooth ear piece

2015-09-10 Thread denise avant
Hi everyone,
I have a bluetooth earpiece, and have been trying to pair it with my apple
watch. however, though the device is well within range, all I get is searching.
Has anyone had this problem. the device was unpaired from my phone, and so I am
sure there is no attempt to pair with two devices.

Apple earbuds stop working Re: No sound coming through bluetooth ear piece or headphones

2015-03-03 Thread Debby
Hi All,
I have had something similar happen twice with my work iPhone 6. A call would
come in and i would try to answer with my earbuds and nothing would happen

I have never had this occur on my personal iPhone 5. I have found turning the
phone off and back on fixes it. Very strange!!

Re: No sound coming through bluetooth ear piece or headphones

2015-03-02 Thread Isaac Hebert
Have you tried turning the volume up on the headset.
Does the headset have a volume control their you can adjust?
Did you trying turning up the volume on the phone while the headset is plugged
in?
I could be wrong here but this is the only that I could think of that could be
causing your issue.

No sound coming through bluetooth ear piece or headphones

2015-03-02 Thread Kimber Gardner
Hi All,

I'm having a strange problem with my iPhone 6. Although Bluetooth is
turned on and my devices (a bose ear piece and lg hbs700 earphones)
are paired, no sound comes through either device. The Bluetooth
connectivity is fine. I tested it with my jambox and all works
perfectly. But neither the bose or the lg are working at all. Both
devices are fully charged and have been "forgotten" and paired several
times.

One thing that is even more mysterious. When the bose is paired and
turned on, I can still hear sound through the phone speaker. However,
when the lg is paired and turned on, I don't hear anything through the
phone speaker.

Any thoughts or suggestions will be appreciated because I am stumped.

Thanks,
Kimber

Re: Bluetooth Ear piece

2012-11-15 Thread Casey

hi William about this blu tooth headset you recommended.
Can you use sury with it and how do you make that happen?
Also how is the audio while you are in a call and how do you sound to
another caller?

Is there a way that you can send a recording of the way the headset sounds?
Does it have any voice prompts or anything like that?
Also can you get an audible message about your battery level and things
like that with this headset?
So thank you for your recommendation and I will look forward to reading
your reply.

Hi Tamara,

I actually use some pretty obscure ones I got from a sales rep I deal with.
He represents some other brands of outdoor gear I sell at my store and he
has picked up this line of accessories from a company called Outdoor
Technology. They make a stereo Bluetooth headset, a set of stereo Bluetooth
earbuds which are connected with a string so you can hang them around your
neck and a speaker called the "Turtle" which is like the Jambox. On my
iPhone the headset I have shows up as "OT DJ Slims", OT stands for Outdoor
Technology and I guess the model is called the DJ Slims.

I do like them, sound quality is decent for books/music, not great but OK
for phone calls and while I have not tested this a lot apparently they don't
do much in terms of noise cancellation when there is wind etc.

The website is www.OutdoorTechnology.com and if you google "OT DJ Slims" you
do get a bunch of hits with reviews including aa 4 minute something YouTube
video review. They sell retail for $69.95 and for that price they are
definitely not bad, even better in my case since the rep sold me his show
sample for half that. They do use Bluetooth 2.1 and Voiceover works fine as
they do support A2DP. Apparently Outdoor Technology is working on a
Bluetooth 3.0 version, but I am not sure when this will come out and in what
way it will be better.

I do like the fact that they do have skip forward and back buttons in
addition to the volume up/down and power button. The button configuration
has the big round on/off button in the middle, above are the skip forward
and back buttons and below are the volume up/down buttons.

They are also quite rugged with a traditional headband design and relatively
large, square foam earpieces.
They are not super light, but as I said, they do seem very stirdy and I find
them comfortable to wear.

Regards,
Sieghard

Keep in mind that even the best Bluetooth earpiece or headset has what I
consider to be one major limitation: a small delay which is not really
noticeable when you use it to make a phone call or listen to you're your GPS
has to say, but if you try and write something like a text message or email
I at least find this delay to be extremely annoying and it slows down your
typing speed on the regular virtual keyboard. The iPhone 4S and iPhone 5
both support Bluetooth 4.0, but I don't think I have seen anything other
than Bluetooth 2.1 being used for the headsets I tried including the
high-end Jawbone ones. I have a stereo Bluetooth headset which I used
sometimes at home when I want to listen to a book while I vacuum or work in
my woodworking shop and I don't want a cable and at the same time don't need
to really "use" the phone. For anything else the earpods are my choice.

At this point Casey, I believe most of the "higher end" Bluetooth" earphones
are quite excellent. And the earphone itself has nothing to do with whether
or not VoiceOver and other auditory output is delivered well, That would be
a function of the iPhone itself (or whatever device sending those signals)
might be. What I mean is that the sound delivered to the earphone can only
be as good as the sound as it is generated on the originating device.

Myself, I've become fond of the Motorola Bluetooth Earphones -- there are
several models and they tend to be extremely compact and don't stick in your
ear(s) like a sore thumb. The microphone boom is really cool, too. It
isn't really a boom so much as a sort of flap that folds off the earphone
itself to lie flat against your cheek.

RE: Bluetooth ear piece for hard of hearing?

2012-05-01 Thread Aman Singer
Hi.
Given that you don't have hearing aids, you may want to consider a
Bluetooth receiver, rather than a Bluetooth ear piece. a Bluetooth receiver
is something into which you can plug in headphones or headsets and even, if
you need one, an amplifier. These are not as popular as all-in-one
receiver/headset options, but they are available. Ones that are particularly
loud are at
http://www.tecear.com
and, if you want ordinary models, searching for Bluetooth to 3.5 MM on
Google will get you several. Note that you don't want the kind that plug
into stereos, these are generally electrically powered and are not portable.
I hope that's of use.

I got a set a couple of years ago, but wasn't smart enough to get the ones
that go behind the ear. Due to some other ear problems (Tubes and such), I
can't wear these anymore. I won't go into the gross details, but suffice it

I said all that to say this, I do not wear hearing aids. I do not want to
drag around ear phones, and all of the bluetooth ear pieces I have tried are
not loud enough. I'm not sure which ones I have tried by number, but they
are all cheap ones that work fine for people with normal hearing.

Please let me know if you have any more questions, and thanks for your help!

Hi Jerry,

Do you wear hearing aids? It sounds from your message that you don't, but
just wanted to clarify.

Thanks

Hello everyone!

I was wondering if anyone has found a good bluetooth ear piece for someone
blind and hard of hearing. I was thinking about the SoundID 6, but reports
seem to say the touch sensitive volume switch is not very easy to use. I am
using an iPhone 4s.

Thanks in advance for your help!

Jerry

RE: Bluetooth ear piece for hard of hearing?

2012-04-30 Thread Jerry White
I got a set a couple of years ago, but wasn't smart enough to get the ones
that go behind the ear. Due to some other ear problems (Tubes and such), I
can't wear these anymore. I won't go into the gross details, but suffice it
to say they are not practical anymore.
