As Richard and I said, we haven't found a way to change the format the IOS email client uses when you compose a message. From Googling this, it looks like you might be able to do it as the default if you use a Mac. It isn't clear from what I read, but it looks like the email client on your iPod should use the same default setting that you're using on your Mac. I assume this is after you sync things between your iPod and your Mac. Like I said, it wasn't clear to me from what I read that this always worked, but it might be something to look into, assuming you're using a Mac and syncing things with your iPod. It did seem pretty clear that you couldn't control this on your iPod though, but you might want to check my findings with your own Google search. Re: Sending Plain Text emails?
This is not determined by your email provider. This is a function of your email client. As Richard says, I don't know how to change this in the email client on the iPhone. You might check out other email clients or as Richard suggests, look into texting applications from your iPhod. This has been discussed on this list several times, so you can check the list archive. Google Voice does do this and does work well with VoiceOver. On 3/23/2014 12:10 PM, Richard Turner wrote: I think that is determined by your Email Service Provider. I don't know which ones are particularly good with VoiceOver, but I'm sure there must be reviews on Applevis.com that would help. RE: Sending Plain Text emails?
I think that is determined by your Email Service Provider. I think you would have to set all outgoing Email's to plain text on their end. I have never seen a setting in the Mail app for that. Since he doesn't have an iPhone, you can't use the message app on the Touch. But, there are quite a few texting apps out there. I don't know which ones are particularly good with VoiceOver, but I'm sure there must be reviews on Applevis.com that would help. If I send an html message, he gets a multimedia message that is often delayed and costs him more money.
