Games availability?
Hi all, Just wondering if there are any software sellers who yet have a copy of either NeverwinterNights, Black White Creature Isle or Everquest? Or a 2nd-hand copy of the original BW for Mac? Thanks in advance Stewart -- Stewart Woods Department of Media, Society and Culture Curtin University of Technology Western Australia

Re: Games availability?
Heya Stewart - I wasn't aware that NeverWinter Nights was available for the mac yet. I think it's due for release July 30. Everquest was released in June ... not sure about the others. The Applecentre in Joondalup is often good for games ... Maybe the Hawthorn shop? I didn't see Everquest or Black White at NextByte when I there yesterday. P.S. Anyone want to buy a brand new copy of Dungeon Siege? Asking for $60. :) T. --- In [EMAIL PROTECTED], Stewart Woods [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: Hi all, Just wondering if there are any software sellers who yet have a copy of either NeverwinterNights, Black White Creature Isle or Everquest? FS: various old Apple Monitors
Spare room clean out of Apple monitors previously advertised in UniNews but unsold. 2x 1710 17 Trinitron MultiScan monitors working (+ one suitable for parts - power supply arcs) use old style apple display connection, no mac to VGA adaptors supplied, (yes we have one but Its NFS) 1xAudioVision 14 Trinitron 640 by 480 Apple AV connector (status unknown as it came to us with no connection adaptor... I could probably rummage one up though) reasonable offers accepted (even unreasonable offers will be entertained). -- ~ Mark Secker [EMAIL PROTECTED] ph#9380 1855 (ECEL) ECEL Computer Support Officer, University of Western Australia. Bank scam!!!!
This afternoon, I received an email purportedly from my bank, Wespac, informing me of new security arrangements and urging me to login to the given URL and reenter my details. Given rumours circulating on scams like this the warning bells sounded, in addition, the URL, wespac.com.au/index... included /index which is not in the normal logon URL. A check with Wespac revealed that this is indeed a scam email BE WARNED A login to that URL in fact takes you to an exact copy of the Wespac welcome page but once your login details are entered your money has gone!! All take note, my guess is that all banks are being targeted Severin Crisp -- __ Assoc Professor R Severin Crisp, FIP, CPhys, FAIP 15 Thomas St, Mount Clarence, Albany, 6330, Western Australia. Re: Bank scam!!!!
Sorry, my Freudian(?) slip, drawn to my attention by Westnet. In fact the URL in the email was wespac.com./index which is a non-Australian address Severin Crisp Hi Severin, Thanks I don't use Westpac except on very odd occasions but I thought I might just look at your SCAM page. Interestingly I cannot get to it from here at this time. wespac.com.au/index shows as no such page, wespac.com.au gives a Bin Handling company in South Australia and westpac with the T westpac.com.au seems to go to the Westpac Banking home site. On th odd occasions I do go to Westpac I go to URL below which seems tp be the right location at the moment. We have no money in that account anyway. https://olb.westpac.com.au/default.asp Bob Severin Crisp wrote: This afternoon, I received an email purportedly from my bank, Wespac, informing me of new security arrangements and urging me to login to the given URL and reenter my details. Strangely it looks like a legitimate business site, it's possible there was a different URL disguised into the original message they sent you. [For Sale] Various items
Hi all I'm undertaking a reorganisation of my home office setup and I have a few pieces I no longer require. 1. Monitor. Samsung 955 DF 19 Flat screen. I've been running this on a G4 Mac at 1280 x 1024 and it's quite nice. About a year old. Asking $390. 2. Monitor. Likom N705 17 Flat screen. This has been my second monitor - less than a year old. Asking $190. 3. Modem. 3Com U.S. Robotics 56 K Faxmodem. This is a top of the line external 56 K modem. Asking $90. 4. Pentium 233 MMX computer. A good little machine that's been used as a satellite link and router. It has a 10 GB HD, 192 MB ram, Ethernet card, CD-ROM, USB etc. Comes with 3 button mouse, keyboard and Philips 15 VGA monitor. Currently running Linux RedHat 7.1 and is a good Linux box. Or I can throw in a Windows 98 SE full install CD Manual if wanted. Asking $425. This is a lot cheaper than Virtual PC and believe me, it's quicker. 5. Canon B150 Plain paper Fax machine (inkjet). Sends fine but paper feeder is acting up so it doesn't print a received fax automatically. Asking $50 ONO. Regards Larry Pohl telephone 9291 3162

S-Video to composite adapter
Hi... I've managed to misplace my S-Video to composite adapter, which is really annoying. Does anyone know a source of them locally? Mime attachments
I guess that this plagues everyone at some time or other. A PC wielding friend sends me emails with attachments I can not open. They are mime attachments. One is mime type-image/jpeg and another is mime type image/gif. I am using Apple's mail.app on OS X 10.2.6. I have tried Stuffit Expander, Graphic Converter and a few other graphic image apps . I have asked her to not send as a mime attachment but she just resent it as the image/gif. It is a letter type of communication which she has just dropped into her email and it is not an alternative to simply type out the letter in the email body. This is a person who does not know how to spell Apple let alone know how to communicate with one, other than simple email! And no, a solution is not to dump this very long standing friend of the family. So, how can I open mime attachments? I have looked at the list archives but found nothing or was not searching correctly. Thanks . Peter Sealy Thurgoona AUSTRALIA
