You're welcome.
Are you sure it's not 1.5.0_19 from Apple.Inc?
Not 1.5.9_19

Cheers,

Hi Daniel,

To convert to .wmv files, you need the flip4mac plugin. It sounds
like you already have the demo version installed on your system.

The demo version only allows for up to 30 seconds of export.
To export a full length .wmv file, you need to purchase one of the
flip4mac WMV Player Pro.

To purchase a license Flip4Mac WMV, select Preferences > License >
Purchase from within the application.

Wamug Meeting

2009-08-03 Thread Craig Bruce

Hey Guys,

Very sorry but I'm going to be unable to attend tonight and give the
demo on the apple tv. Unfortunately I have finally succumbed to the
flu and I'm off work for a few days.
The doc said I should stay away from people for a few days so don't
want to get you all sick!

Hope all goes well, I'll give you a demo next month or if you swing by
the store i'll be happy to show you through

Hey Guys,

I've been using TightVNC for a little while to connect to my OS X box from my

incoming OS X video. Is there anything else that works better that anyone else

Again in Entourage choose Tools:Mailing List Manager and if you have
selected WAMUG Mailing List in the To field of a recent
WAMUG message, Mailing List Manager will figure out a bunch of stuff and
insert it for you. Just select the chosen destination folder and you're
away.

want the emails from WAMUG to be moved to.

Re: Digest Mode

2009-08-03 Thread Reg Whitely

Hi Ronni and all on WAMUG

As an aside to this discussion, when we set up GMUG mailing list we
included "GMUG" as a default subject intro. When rules are set for
GMUG mail filtering, we can simply set it to "subject contains: GMUG"
as the mail system automatically adds "GMUG" to the subject. Perhaps
worth considering?

CoRD - Updated

2009-08-03 Thread David Moyle

Afternoon all,

Just making you aware the CoRD software has been updated in the last few days.
We've found it to be a little more reliable and the UI has been slightly
adjusted for the better.

http://cord.sourceforge.net/

For those that don't know CoRD is an alternative remote desktop connection
(VNC) client which is a much better alternative than the supplied Microsoft RDC
Connection program.
It allows multiple servers, connect to Console functionality etc! Highly
recommended.

Cheers,

Re: Digest Mode

actually you could use "contains" should work

The quicker and nastier way is to go down the bottom left, Create
Smart Mailbox, put your criteria in that, this pulls all your Wamug
mail into one spot but doesn't take it out of your inbox.

Re: iPhone Update

2009-08-03 Thread Ronda Brown

No Peta,

He has to connect his iPhone to his computer ...
iTunes opens and guides him through setup.
The instructions came with his iPhone "Finger Tips"

I also sent a link in my previous email to you.

The Apple website - iPhone "How To" is a good place for your Husband
to learn how to use his new iPhone.

I have passed the info on to my husband and hopefully he can go

Big Apple Shop in Sydney where we were having a few days visit! Why
didn't I see that one coming?

Unfortunately he does not have his Mac with him at the moment so I
don't know if he will be able to go ahead with this update using
only the iPhone.

Do you know if is it possible to do this from an "ordinary" PC and
the iPhone?

We may find out very soon - it may be me letting you know!

He needs to have set what he wants to sync to his iPhone in iTunes.

Then to download and install this update:
1. Your husband just needs to connect his iPhone to his computer
and open iTunes (if it doesn't automatically open).
2. Then backup his iPhone, and sync (as he normally would when he
connects his iPhone).

3. Then click on "Check For Update"
4. iTunes will download the file and install the update and his
iPhone will do a restart.

Tell him it takes a long time to download and install this update.
The file is large ... It's a 297.9MB download.
It took me an hour to download the update & then a long time to
install & reboot.

He must NOT disconnect his iPhone while doing this download and
installation.

iTunes will let him know when it is safe to Disconnect the iPhone.

He is a bit confused as to where to go once he opens the

Would anyone be able to provide me with the next steps he needs
