does your url of the homepage also change the second time (is there a redirect somehow)or does it just stay /Else place a breakpoint in your constructor and see why or where it comes from the second time for one request. johanOn 10/26/06, Flavius <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: I'm new with wicket and started a vanilla project. I'm new with wicket and started a vanilla project. I created my application class which extends WebApplication and defined a home page called Home.java (and Home.html). I think I'll wait for 1.2.3 instead of trying to build wicket on my own. :) Anyway your hint, that PageMap names should always be the same as the html frame target names, solved the problem for now. Re: [Wicket-user] Wicket 1.2.2 and html frame targets
Yes. This was a problem in Wicket 1.2.2 and is fixed now. In trunk is also an updated version of wicket-examples/frames that displays how to use page maps for frames. In case you weren't using a different page map per frame: it's highly recommended you do so. The page map name and frame name should always be the same. BookmarkableLinks can be set with a page map, and in trunk automatically adjusts the target attribute (if the link has one) to the proper page set. [Wicket-user] Wicket 1.2.2 and html frame targets
Hi, I just updated to wicket 1.2.2. In my application there's a navigation frame and a content frame. After the update to the new version, the frame targets in the navigation frame (href="..." target="rightFrame"...) do not work anymore. There's always a new window appearing (cause the browser doesn't recognize the name, both IE and FF). Of course the name is the same one in the parent frame page. I reverted the change of the library to see if it is really wicket 1.2.2 - and it is. Please give me a hint, what I've done wrong, the whole application is not working right atm. yes you are right, it was a bug. onError() was added long after the validating behavior was created and i didnt think about it. thanks for catching it. its in svn wicket-1.x right now if you want to check that out and will be in 1.2.3-IgorOn 9/1/06, Adam Smyczek <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: Yes, you are right, I could add the feedback panel to overriddenonError() method of AjaxSubmitButton, but my code cannot use it (have some custom submit logic).I use AjaxFormValidatingBehavior, so for now I subclass it and override onError().Additionally I have to implement addToAllFormComponents() to use myoverridden class. This is of cause not a problem. The question is, why does AjaxFormValidatingBehavior not override onError() automatically and update the panels same as onSubmit() does?Does the ajax validation framework have some restrictions regardingerrorhandling I am not aware of, or can this method be added toAjaxFormValidatingBehavior, just for convenience? Re: [Wicket-user] Wicket 1.2.2, method missing in AjaxFormValidatingBehavior?
Yes, you are right, I could add the feedback panel to overridden onError() method of AjaxSubmitButton, but my code cannot use it (have some custom submit logic). I use AjaxFormValidatingBehavior, so for now I subclass it and override onError(). Additionally I have to implement addToAllFormComponents() to use my overridden class. This is of cause not a problem. The question is, why does AjaxFormValidatingBehavior not override onError() automatically and update the panels same as onSubmit() does? Does the ajax validation framework have some restrictions regarding error handling I am not aware of, or can this method be added to AjaxFormValidatingBehavior, just for convenience? Re: [Wicket-user] Wicket 1.2.2, method missing in AjaxFormValidatingBehavior?
You can override onError to react on a failing validation. Updating of the feedbackpanel should be automatic, as long as you add the feedbackpanel to the ajax target for re-rendering. protected void onError(AjaxRequestTarget target) { target.add(myFeedbackPanel); } Eelco On 9/1/06, Adam Smyczek <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > AjaxFormValidatingBehavior updates feedback panels in onSubmit() > method, but onError() nothing happens. > Can onError() be overwritten as well and do the same thing? > > Regards, > Adam > > > > - > Using Tomcat but need to do more? [Wicket-user] Wicket 1.2.2 available
The Wicket team is proud to announce the availability of Wicket 1.2.2, the second maintenance release for Wicket 1.2.This release contains several bug fixes, and some major improvements by receiving backported components from our 2.0 branch, most notably: modal window support and a fully ajaxified Tree and TreeTable. These components can be found in the Wicket Extensions package.Wicket 1.2.2 is a drop-in replacement for Wicket 1.2 and Wicket 1.2.1, however we urge you to test before you put things into production, especially if you are using prototype.js and Wicket ajax. We have put a lot of effort into testing the compatibility between Wicket ajax and prototype, but you may never be sure. DownloadThe Wicket 1.2.2 release can be downloaded from the sourceforge.net servers at a location near you. Follow the next link to go to the downloads page: http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=119783RoadmapThe Wicket roadmap is as follows (no dates available). Our main development effort will focus on Wicket 2, which will be Java 5 based. For providing support to those projects already in production or that are bound to Java 1.4, we will continue development of Wicket 1.x, which will consist mainly of backported functionality from Wicket 2 and bug fixes. The next minor release for these projects will be Wicket 1.3. List of changes in Wicket 1.2.2o Wicket - Added Application.exists() and Session.exists() to check for existence of threadlocals - Backported 2.0 CompressedPackageResource and CompressedPackageResourceReference - Backported 2.0 _javascript_ console (much faster) - New wicket-ajax _javascript_ with support for channels - default validator rethrows any exception as ConversionException - Opened up MarkupParser so that it can be used by other components - Close input stream in AbstractResourceStream.asString() - CryptedUrlWebRequestCodingStrategy is spammy - Support for showing expired page from an AJAX request, through identification. This replaces the fix for issue 1528244 in a more generic way. - Error page no longer alters the url so the refresh button will rerun the code that caused the error - RestartResponseAtInterceptPage(Class) will now generate bookmarkable urls - Implemented ajax support for palette - Support for conditional comments such as - AjaxLink can now be attached to anything that supports onclick - Link.getBefore/AfterDisabledLink() now behave properly when overridden - Dynamic resource support for portlets - Navigate to another page from ajax request (in other words break out of the ajax request). Like: public void onClick(AjaxRequestTarget target){ setResponsePage(LinksPage.class ); } - Render number of rows properly on ListChoice o Wicket Extensions - Backported AJAX header contribution code from 2.0. - Backported 2.0 Modal Window - Backported 2.0 Ajax enabled Tree and TreeTable - Fixed markup-id issue of datepicker so it works with ajax - Backported 2.0 wicket-ajax.js compatible version of the autocompleteHave fun! - The Wicket Team-- Download Wicket 1.2.2 now!
