In editing the title I typed: 'Blank Baxter' - was that a sort of freudian
slip?

I went to this on Friday night. The Rythm Factory is not quite one of
London's well known venues, but its definately a place worth checking out.
I pulled up outside on Friday night at 1:00am.

I kind of missed the boat on this thread.
You cant forget the People's Movement. While not many outside of Detroit
will know who they are. Its a project headed by Detroit's own DJ Defiant,
who is one of the best underground hip hop DJ's in the city.
He is gathering a group of 40 local MC's and
Anybody heard the new Iridite 002
A very good record!
Definitely. both releases on Iridite so far have been great. It's nice to know
someone is till makin em like they used to with regards to top quality
techno, diverse sounds too. The only thing the tracks have in common is GOOD
last stuff that skull released was three eps in 2000, one on dense electron
(a us label) and two on djax.
the last thing that really moved me by skull is 'when will i be free' on
majestic from 1998

Hold everything. Forget about the antiseptic corporate hip hop that
Wal-Mart and MTV would have you consume. Picture this scenario: four blood
brothers from Detroit, rapping together since a young age, approach high-art
electronic masterminds Nineteen Point Five Collective, it's CALLOWAY

Tool-ish, but with enough change-ups to keep me interested. I could
imagine Mills playing this, and doing some big backspin at the end.
Tight and metallic. Nice sense of restrained intensity.

I've been caning the old dave angel and david holmes essential mixes

cooler than the one with 4 passengers holding full cups of coffee, simplying
I agree with the monotone remark on the second track, although I do like the
sound pallette in the second better, i could see it being the better of the
two with just a touch more work
