How do people feel about request like this? I'm certainly not against
mix mp3's but requests for LP's is a bit rich and considering the state
we are in do you feel that it's fair to deny small label and artist
the money they need to continue?

I for one get hounded for my emails that I send to my friends, the reason is
that when I write my emails as we all do, I tend to speak it out in my head as
I would if I was speaking to them in person but email never ever conveys this
I personally wouldn't download an mp3 of an LP which hasn't even been
officially released yet. But then any mp3s I have ever dled have been at the
sanction of the artist or they were the only form the track was in. So I
guess I'm a puritan and you should discount my views completely!

Not to belabor the point, but I think your original judgement was a bit harsh.
You are just wrong that people don't use mp3s to find releases to look for in
the store. I do that. If I have heard the mp3 and liked it, I'm much more
likely to buy the vinyl.
