What a pleasure it is to read a thread like this when you know you're going to
be hearing the DJ in question in 12 days time!
And what's more he's one of 8 guests in a line up each and every one of whom
I'm looking forward to seeing.

I've posted about this
There are 2 questions but right now I've forgotten the second.
Anyway having just got back from abroad and being out-of-the-loop on things
round here I went out at the weekend and found out a
friend was over playing out in Berlin.
The friend that told me this said something like wow Miles is
Yeah, he did a live thing with Vladislav Delay and Max Loderbauer (of
Sun Electric) for a Resident Advisor sponsored night
Sunning line-up! Look:
Golden Groove: Larry Heard [Alleviated], Efdemin [Dial], Kalabrese

Well done Rob - if I can't remember the second question you've scored 100%.
What a line up! I'm off to Berlin again in a few weeks time but if I'd seen
this I'd've been there for sure. I'll bet that live
set was something else. Is there a link to this anywhere? Curious as to what
gaff it
If you want to know if there's a store near you you can eventually find out
from the website bershka.com after it's taken 15 secs to
load and you've stopped the music. Couldn't copy and paste the list as it's
all drop down stuff by country. Rob, I'll check their
Manchester store at the weekend
i'll see what i can do, i have a broken meniscus at the
moment but i could get me girlfriend to drive me to one of
the malls where the shops are.
incidentally, a clip taken from one of the releases on
citymorb was used for a video clip on the subway tv here in
rome...kinda burns

what a boring time to
and for £15, what a bargain! Would like to see Andy Stott, especially
after hearing his resident advisor podcast.

Kinda reminds me of an early Turning Shrines cover.

Hi.
Ever heard of Bershka? Well apparently they are a clothing store with
about 500 locations in their chain. Up until this morning I had never
heard of them. Then I saw the following photos:
Dan is still around popping in and out of the local music scene
here in Toronto. He performed live a couple of months ago at an event
with some sweet music, not sure if any of it had been released before,
but he's still at it.
Last I talked to him, he's getting his studio back together
Certainly, I'll post it here. I came here because I know people have
strong opinions about this and those are ideally what I'd like to
hear...the best reasons and the best arguments...and a wide range of
them.

Interesting questions Ronan.
Some would argue that it'd only be fair, given that you'd mined the list
as a resource, that you came back and post up a URL with your article
when it's finished.
Just a thought :)

Hi everyone,
I'm wondering if any of you guys who are involved in running vinyl only
labels would be interested in a discussion about why you do this and what
the advantages are. I'm currently writing an article about this and it'd be
good to have some input if you do run a label that's vinyl
Mr. May? I can't get either link to work - maybe there's tech problem as I
can't get through by searching Myspace either.

Off his my space, I think he is promoting a new album which is about to
drop on Carl Craig's label...not 100% on that though.
My tour is going great so far...
Amsterdam was great, despite some weird problems with one of the
monitors crashing to the floor in the dj booth
does anybody run a vinyl-only label anymore? by choice? i don't know
of any vinyl-only labels off the top of my head, at least none that
aren't so small/esoteric that they just haven't tackled digital stuff
yet...
yes there are numerous vinyl only labels who choose to operate that
way, or at least I'd guess would have no problem getting set up on
Beatport or whatever other store.

moods grooves and planet e both do digital, and environ has been
doing digital for longer than we have...never heard of skull
disco...cool/interesting to see that theo, kdj, and omar-s are all
ignoring digital for sure though, they could all easily be doing it if
they wanted to...
On Feb 5,
fxhe has just started doing digital via his own website

Skull Disco is on Bleep I believe, and they released a double CD of
vinyl-only tracks last fall... which includes a Ricardo Villalobos
remix -- not Detroit, but techno-esque. That remix is pretty great
actually -- dark and creepy. I was listening to it when I was walking
around inside the Berlin

Any 313ers/technotourists coming to Socal to see Kraftwerk, Modeselektor, MIA,
Hot Chip, Linton Kwesi Johnson etc, and want to have a little afterparty in the

have something else to attend that weekend to make it
