Hi all,
It's been ages since I posted anything new up here, as I've mostly been
very busy with my new family over the past few years. But I'm pleased to
say that I'm finally starting to do some new music again!
The main thing I'm working on is 'The Pace', a new live project that I'm
doing
I'm interested in what you mean programmed played live -- not to doubt
your veracity, but for it to be 100% true you'd have to start out with all
your drum machine patterns empty, no sequences in sequenced synths, and
every set would inevitably start out with some pretty bare initial drum
That's exactly what we do. Empty drum machines and no synth
sequences. Guy plays all the keys live and loops them up as he goes,
he doesn't start with any patterns, and I use 3 drum machines all empty
to begin with. The only thing that is any way prepared are some of the
patch banks.
OK, so it's not strictly 313, let's not get petty now, but what's Mike
Dearborn up to these days? Just pulled out Intenze Musik from 1992, and
then went to Discogs to see that he's not released anything since 2008 and
hasn't been releasing much up to that.

Mike's still DJing. Not sure what his production output has been lately.
He's now a Chicago police officer, so I'm sure that takes up plenty of
time.

If that's the case, you should really put up some video I'm sure
that's some gear working madness that people would enjoy watching!
