as far as technono one listens to techno anymore (sadly)...there
just isnt much detroit influenced techno coming out...or
electro...most of what does comes out of the netherlands and uk, even
if it originates from detroit. there is some from detroit still, but
it is few
A good example of what I'm talking about would be Art Payne
who wrote for
Streetsounds
magazine in the early 90's, his three or four paragraph
article summary
about the new music
and labels coming
out of Detroit was very informative, it put things in the proper
perspective.
