I think Numan has identified Foxx as an influence, ironically. Foxx was leading Ultravox before Gary appeared on the scene. I'll try to dig up the source, but I believe Numan had the lead on synth work and actually tutored Foxx in that light. Ultravox wasn't nearly as synth-laden in the
