Arte you talking now about the private pressing, or about the silence in
the secret garden ep?
Thanks,
Maarten
The peacefrog private press is onesided

It seems that Ryan is confusing the private press with the silence in the
secret garden ep, wich is not limited at all.
One of the latter its tracks is on the forthcoming peacefrog album. The
other two are exclusive to this release.
Cheers,
Maarten
Can the two people who supposedly have this explain how they got it and maybe
give some factual information about it - have you been sent a promo or did you
buy it somewhere? The only thing I have found on the internet about it is:
-
I rang up 'rough trade records' records and asked them if they had the
moodymann private pressing'
He went to check.. Said 'yes we do'
I then asked him if I could buy a copy
He said yes..and proceeded to take down my details.
He then sent me the record.
No tricks, no gizmo's no fancy emails.
It is a one sided phat vinyl pressing of shattered dreams by moodymann V
nice artwork As it should be for 14.99...they are also numbered, cat #
pfg 041...

What I know is this..
1) The piece mentions 4 record shops only - that can't be right. I know
more shops are getting them.
2) They're a cash only thing. So shops getting them are paying up front for
them. The shops that have them already are probably london shops, as
obviously they can just
I spoke to Rough Trade - they have sold out :(
When is the bootleg due!?!

honestly, this kind of thing makes me feel ill. music is supposed
to be heard, not hunted after like its a rare beast.
Well, I see your point. But we ain't the first and won't be the last.
Ever heard of Northern Soul? Rare Groove? House Music? Reggae? in fact, any
club music.

this, i played a bunch of rare groove and old reggae and
whatnot just last night.
Yeah, I'm sorry, I didn't mean to be patronising at all. I was just sort of
saying that this kind of mad hunt for a record is hardly un-heard of at
all.
It runs deeper too - it has to do with alot of things..

i'm getting tired of these ltd edition, private pressing runs. i am
as much a fan of kdj's work as the next house-head, but i'm not willing to
jeopardize my financial well-being by dropping a ridiculous sum of money on
a two to three track EP. because of these limitations, i don't get to enjoy
I think this one's probably Peacefrog's idea, to be fair. They've always
been into limited press runs. So you got it, Placid? It is unfortunately
very good, eh?

A fair point, but on the marketing tip it's pretty good.. People have been
talking about this for months, we're talking about it now, demand will out

Hmm, feel a bit sorry for the peacefrog heads getting a bit of a hard time.
There could be any number of reasons why it's a limited run record.
I mean, they're obviously not doing it to make loads of money are they? so
why the hard time?
Maybe it's just a piece of ART? the music, the cover
