I’m looking for reasonably priced core router that will do Carrier Grade NAT,
MPLS, OSPF and BGP. I know Mikrotik will handle dancing unicorns, fairy dust
and perpetual motion all for $100, but is there anything like a Juniper, Cisco,
etc. that’s a more traditional thing people trust for core ro

I suspect that the metal case really makes GPS reception a problem. They
could mount the antenna externally I suppose, but OTOH, you'd like to
use one GPS source per site. Putting a GPS receiver in every radio flies
in the face of the single-source problem.

rain zone? Cookie cutter, use same equipment on every link? Tower lease that

I would agree. Most likely a vendor upsale for no good reason. Especially
when considering that most of those water utilities don't know anything.
Also likely part of a much larger upgrade project so as a percentage it is
tiny. Last update we did on our water system was 1.2 million.

Cable Glands are a 'standard' item, PG16 is the size.
Feel free to search ebay for 'PG16 cable gland' and you can pick your choice of
material and qty.
