VPLS performance on Mikrotik is lacking though at above 1Gbps range, so I’m
reverting most my network back to just plain VRRP between two routers and OSPF
ring back to the sources.
I just got mine for IHC in Utah and my yearly deductibles DOUBLED and my
monthly rate went up $750 a month, a 53% increase.

I see routers that now do 802.11ad 60GHz radio bands.
But I don't think people realize that 60GHz doesn't go through walls, or really
anything, for that matter.
So I don't see buying a single 802.11ad router as very useful for home
deployment.

Taking a closer look at the properties of 802.11ad, maybe they need to make a
“thin” device for each room with Ethernet.
Something like an in wall (1Gang) unit that has POE from the central location,
a GigE Ethernet port and a thin 6’ flat cable with a small 60GHz
Except that you literally cannot ‘move to IPv6’ and have happy clients yet.

I was able to change a few things in a sit-down negotiation with the manager.
They had contracts in place with wording for large cell companies, so I had to
