professionals probably wouldn't be that upset if the
menus and toolbars got the wrong colors as long as their photos got
the right colors...
That case was a complaint from users and one of the reasons to start

directory, all others not. You can't start a application from the doc or a

I have ported the legacy CinePaint from gtk1 to gtk2 for the utf-8 support
and would even more love to see the included FLTK plug-ins supporting
utf-8.
Other projects and translators wait for FLTK with utf-8 to appear.

The table in quote_char() is already a more elegant solution. I will come
with a complete diff for that later this day.

Would you try setting a mutex for cmsOpenProfileFromXXX(). With success
this could be a solution for lcms. I would expect the slow part in the
computation of the transform, not in data i/o.

Not hitting the main question:
ECI-RGB seems a bit large for standard monitors ;-)
sRGB would be a better selection for uncalibrated desktop monitors.
