Our machine has cs-CZ and en-US installed on it.  I'm sorry to say that 
we found a bug with the locale installation for the Angular interface. 
The bug causes those interfaces to only be one language. This line in 
eg_vhost.conf


RewriteRule ^/eg2/(.*) https://%{HTTP_HOST}/eg2/en-US/$1 [NE,R=307,L]

Can be updated to your preferred language:

RewriteRule ^/eg2/(.*) https://%{HTTP_HOST}/eg2/cs-CZ/$1 [NE,R=307,L]

Which will cause the Angular interfaces to show cs-CZ. Right now, our 
first test machine:

    I will try it one more time from build. But maybe you
meet already this issue.

I use for build kvm virtual machine with Ubuntu LTS 22.04
and actual docker.io <http://docker.io>. everything is

turned on. That switch needs to have been set to "yes" during the build 
process. Which means, you'll probably want to build your own docker 
image instead of using the pre-made images.

You do need to be in the generic-dockerhub folder when you run that command

It will take about 15 minutes to complete. Once completed, Docker will 
report the sha hash of the image that you just built. You can see it 
with this command:


docker images

Now that you have your own image. You can start an Evergreen server from 
it. Like this:


|docker run -it -p 80:80 -p 443:443 -p 210:210 -p 6001:6001 -p 32:22 -p 
5433:5432 -h app.evergreen.com  Watch it boot 
up, and make sure it finishes. You will know that it finishes when you 
see the "PLAY RECAP" line, and there should be 0 fails. You can safely 
disconnect from the container leaving it running using the magic key 
combination: ctrl+pq (NOT ctrl+c, that will kill it) |


Now that I've said all of that, and you're going to supply your own 
eg_vhost.conf file, it might be faster to use the pre-built image from 
dockerhub, boot it up,
then replace the eg_vhost.conf file located in the container, and restart 
apache2.

So that would look like this:

1. Start docker with the community container:
|docker run -it -p 80:80 -p 443:443 -p 210:210 -p 6001:6001 -p 32:22 -p 
5433:5432 -h app.evergreen.com mobiusoffice/evergreen-ils:latest|


2. Wait for it to finish starting (look for that PLAY RECAP line, and confirm "0 
fail"). Press ctrl+pq.

3. SSH into the container

ssh -p 32 user@localhost

the password is "password"

3a. Alternatively, you can attach to the container using "docker exec"

docker exec -it `docker ps -q` bash

4. Once you're on the shell of the container, you need to make your edits to:
/etc/apache2/eg_vhost.conf

note: vi is not installed in the container, you might have to install vi:

apt-get update && apt-get install -y vim

vi /etc/apache2/eg_vhost.conf
(make changes)

Save the file

5. Restart apache

/etc/init.d/apache2 restart

That should do it!

You could try deleting/moving the Chrome profile folder from the AppData 
directory. This is where Chrome would save any of it preferences. 
Reinstalling the software wouldn't change the user profile/preferences 
because those are stored here:


C:\Users\\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\User Data

This folder is hidden which adds a bit of complexity to the 
instructions. But here's a shortcut to get you inside of the hidden folder:


1. Hold the Windows key + "r"
2. You should see the "Run" window open
3. Type "%appdata%\.." with quotes
4. Press enter (or click OK)
5. The AppData folder should open in Windows Explorer
6. From there you can navigate to the path mentioned above

If the user doesn't want to lose the Chrome profile 
settings/preferences/local saved passwords/bookmarks/browser history
then, you might want to simply rename the "User Data" folder to 
something like "User_data_old" <- which you will have to put back in 
place if they want their preferences back (but that might also put the 
problem back).


I forgot to mention that Chrome needs to be closed during this 
procedure. Once the folder is deleted/renamed, you can open Chrome 
again. It will act like you've never used it before. That's a good sign. 
Now start interacting with the Evergreen staff client and see if you 
have a different experience.


If it's still the same, then, you could create a new Windows user and 
use Chrome over there. If that doesn't do it, then I think the whole 
computer is sus. Format the machine and try again. If that doesn't do 
it, then it's haunted, and it's time to think about destruction to the 
motherboard. Think Office Space!

Note: No one had anything concrete to offer the person experiencing 
this either.


I suspect a setting buried somewhere is causing the issue, and 
reinstalling Chrome doesn't get rid of it.  Me, I stay away from 
Chrome out of distrust... that and my extreme loathing with regard to 
Google's bullying nanny attitude.

The Evergreen Community is pleased to announce the beta release for 
Evergreen 3.11.  This beta-release marks one more step towards the 
release of 3.11.0, a major release with numerous new features.  Everyone
